interesting to see the old cn roro ferry between downtown vancouver and downtown victoria pulling into burrard inlet. I remember we took it once instad of the bc ferries service, then it was gone, shut down.
Ah, back when people who were going to work or out in the evening were nicely dressed instead of looking like slobs in sweats or tights. When was the last time you saw younger people out for the evening looking attractive ? The only ones I see who look nice are those of Asian backgrounds so " kudos " to them.
Asians were not allowed to practice law in Vancouver until 1954.Racial segregation was pretty much the norm in those days. Vancouver was very British in those days but very sadly most of their offspring are living on needles and drugs in Vancouver Downtown Eastside nowadays.
These were the golden years of western society. Sure there were problems. But there were fewer people, everything looked like it was built to last. The people looked better. What a world we live in now. Born in 1976 and always lived here in Vancouver. The 1990s were the peak. Its been downhill since then. I will be leaving in a year or two. The city is unlivable now.
