Stone Cold Steve Austin’s showcase was AMAZING! I literally taught me how great the Attitude Era was and showed me how significant Austin was in the growth of wrestling.
The last decent 2K wrestling game since everything feels recycled all from this game. Just a roster/arena update for the ones that would come after this game considering it improves so much from the last game.
@@MR.__G Damn never played online or checked out the community creations in any wwe game. ( heard there's some pretty cool stuff others made like cm punk) Also I actually have yet to play 2k19 my self, but I've been watching denkops my career and from his videos I can tell it's a damn good game.
@@thebeaver8456 yeah the creations are awesome. Something I wish was there back when I used to play wrestling games religiously. Yeah try it out, 19 definitely had the best mycareer out of the bunch.
That was my thinking as well ! I, a old raw 2, here comes the pain and svr 07 fan is full back in the business, and I still have 2 of my favorite with their best entrances: Eddie and edge, ah good to be back !
@@JohnHanlin yeah not sure why they downgraded the hell out of the universe mode. Miss the promos, dynamic backstage brawls, and squash match features from 2k19.
If this game had more gamemodes, i would've download it right now. I've played it at release and it was kinda fun, but it lacks gamemodes so much and i think this is one one of the biggest problems of this game.
2k16 is very underrated imo. I had barely any glitches playing it and there were many new superstars, match types, so many arenas, and was thankfully much better than 2k15 imo.
I really love your channel, mate. Your love and passion for wrestling revived my love for the WWE again. Been binge watching your channel for awhile now and the commentary cracks me up
I watched this video and tried it WWE 2k16 again, and I remembered the hype that made this game such a vibe. Keep on making these videos, they're such a great help
@SnazzyGameBot Archive especially since they’re under 2k. NBA already disappointed me on next gen. But wrestling should be a lot easier to develop. They need to bring back some of the modes from svr. Gm, creating a story line, story mode with wrestlers.. Those modes were amazing back then.
@SnazzyGameBot Archive Oh please not on next gen, remember what happened last time a WWE game was hyped for next gen, WWE 2k15, rather let them not release on next gen like 2k14
I love your videos so much man. You bring back some great memories that I had of WWE back in the day. Whenever I have a bad day I know your videos will make me smile and be happy. Thank you man.
Great review man. I always get the urge to pop the game you’re talking about back in to just have fun and maybe see the game differently. The biggest thing I feel like with these 2K games is, it just feels like with them being so controversial for how glitchy or empty or stiff they’ve been compared to the SD/SVR line, that time literally flew. An entire generation of consoles (PS4 and XB1) is now on more numbered days in favor of the new consoles when it feels like 6 years ago of personally getting a PS4 was just yesterday. Hopefully in the future the WWE games can be great but until then, I have more hope for the future AEW game.
The cut scene entrance for Stone Colds match at Mania XIX ( my favorite Mania) reaaalllyyy puts you in the moment especially when you’ve been playing the showcase mode the entire time for the big finale
Tbh... 2k16 was what 2k15 Should have been. It was a big improvement to the Year before. Fixed so many things and even the MyCareer Mode was Very Funny for some time
2k16 is one of my favourites, even the soundtrack is cool. Listening to Billy Idol and then playing Austin's showcase! It just have a special place in my collection
I started watching wrestling in 2016 and because my dad wasn't about to buy 2K17 for 60 bucks he got me and my brother 2K16. Lots of memories with that game.
I thought I was missing something tbh, this game is boring as hell. Slow clunky and no actual fun for me whatsoever. My career is an endless NXT grind and it's just missing that special something that wrestling games used to have that would keep you playing for hours at a time.
This was my first wwe game after be ban to watch it as a kid and going back to the career of Austin and making crazy storylines with my friends it was fun and I thank this game for getting me back into wwe
2k16 was actually the best one I've ever played on my Xbox 360 the roster was decent and the showcase mode of stone cold was gold and the music was fantastic
I think this channel is super underrated and should have way more subscribers you review a whole wide variety of awesome video games awesome wrestling video games at least Although I will say I wish you would do a little more reviews of like the OG wrestling games but still love your content bro keep it up.
dude I've been checking your videos randomnly because I'm trying to emulate these games but I'm subscribing because of your commentary you're jokes are amazing hope you're doing okay
I never understood why they wasted some superstar slots on attires Ex: the rock 01’ & the rock 03’ could have used those for even more legends/superstars
FINALLY!!! The game that introduced me to wrestling, even tho it was nothing like the old games, it was amazing to me, but wwe2k18 and 2k19 made me give up from wrestling games, if i remember correctly, wwe2k19 had jinder mahal as the world Champion, and he wasnt the Champion
Y'know, I'm honestly curious on what you think of 2k16's ost? It's personally one of my favorite soundtracks in the wwe games and I just wanna hear your thoughts on it
This game got me back into wrestling games since I hadn't grabbed any since WWE12 on my 360, getting this on PC was a real delight. Put 264 hours in 2k16, 150 in 2k17 and 440 hours in 2k19.
I agree with your comment about liking classic arenas. This game has the best representation of classic arenas (I especially love King of the Ring and In Your House), and that’s why I often come back to this game. I wish they would do a Bret Hart showcase.
2k16 will always have a special place for me, I bought it and greatly enjoyed it, because well xbox had done something different, 2k16 was xbox gold which meant that anyone with gold could download it and keep it, which meant it was the first wwe game i could play with my main friend group, sure it was online and there were problems but playing this game with my main friend group, messing around and putting on bangers sometimes was just perfect, sadly you cant download it on Xbox anymore, would love to play this again for some reason lol
This is probably the most unremarkable wrestling game of all time Doesn't mean I didn't have a blast playing it though The attitude era roster is great
I actually love the career mode. It feels like a proper career mode to me. Sure you can’t go backstage and talk to people but I’ve made way to many funny memories about putting 50 year old sting through tables and getting screwed by John Cena to hate it
Not a fan personally. Played them all and to be completely honest all of the WWE2K games feel mostly the same. 2k19 had a good but overly linear story while this game had the opposite problem as the story was nearly absent. It took me over a year in-game to get the NXT title which translated to about 40-50 hours of playtime because I couldn't get a title shit despite being number one contender for like 10 months of that time. 2K15,16, and 17 have the same problem. Grinding your way to the top of the contenders just to be stuck there for ages is just a pain and the rivalry system just didn't seem to do much for me as I'd still get non-title match after non-title match for months (even on PPV's). The wrestling itself and the roster was solid but the story mode was horrible.
Playing Rock vs Stone Cold at WrestleMania 19 in this game was sick. It's one of the greatest matches of all time and playing it in 2K16 just felt great
