This was the first game to really make me realise that graphics aren't everything.

i actually liked this game, especailly had one of the best soundtracks in any game ever made

This game had me playing 2K14 for an extra year.

When playing Universe, the AI actually set up a one on one ladder match. Proving that the match type IS is the game, for whatever reason they just didn't add it to be selectable.

Ngl hope Cena gets a showcase and we get the Ruthless Aggression Era arenas.

I was little when i got 2k15 so it didnt rlly bother me as much as everyone else, i still love the game just for the memories and showcase

everyone was complaining on how new gen was in 2k15 , meanwhile i was the lucky one and bought the last gen version of 2k15 on ps3 , best idea ever!

i played 2k15 and 2k16 on x360 and they were and still are awesome i haven't noticed any glitches,all the match types are there.2k17 ruined it for me bcs there weren't any story mode.

The physics alone made me love this game. Never played it on next Gen

As time went on, everyone wanted to get rid of arcade gameplay, and wanted the most realistic game ever, and we got one of the worst games ever. This is why you should balance both types of gameplay to satisfy all fans. Here comes the pain, no mercy, the first SVR, SVR 06 and 07 are all perfect examples of that.

Funny enough, it was the Last gen version of 2K15 that got me back into the series. I even went back and bought 12, 13 and 2K14 to finish those. I am pretty grateful for it in that regard, even if it was stripped back.

WWE 2k15 was the first wwe game I ever played and at that time I absolutely loved it now looking at all the preceding and succeeding games, I realise how much stupid I was

Shitty game aside, The hbk vs hhh 3 stages of hell match is so damn brutal and memorable. They legit looked like there were gonna die any second

2K showcase was the only good thing about this game

2k15 looks a lot better in ways than the newer games. I feel each year the lighting has got way worse when it should have built on what we had in 15 and 16

I remember when I had this game when I was younger on Xbox and I recall all the bad things but I never really had glitch problems.

Good: 2k Showcase, Who Got NXT, DLC, Universe Bad: Gameplay Neutral: Scratch Logo even though the case has the network logo

2k15 had the best showcase outside of the svr games. 2k's been using the same graphics for years. And most of the other modes were only available on last gen. Also there are ladder matches, you can use the universe mode to access even more match modes like handicaps etc with more players and to throw belts in.

The John cena screenshot is one of the most iconic things of last generation

Sad part is the ps3 version has more match types than the ps4 version

I loved this game on the 360 and I played this for hours, I remembered all the good memories and then I popped it back in and then I lost a table match to Santino marrella in 20 seconds because of a shitload of glitches.

So I copped this on last gen as my first ever wwe game and I had a lot of fun imo the last gen version killed the next gen

When I bought this game i caned from wwe 13 on the Wii... So yeah, I didn't noticed it being slower...

I remember this game, man the first time i started it up and Dizzee Rascal's heart of a warrior came up it got me so excited to play but then i slowly realized the FIFA style motion capture just was not for WWE games, the smackdown vs raw games were just smoother and overall more fun, another thing that i hated and still do is the HUD, it's gotten alot better but imo the old simple design was better with the bars indicating the health and then the dynamic colors for yellow orange or red that show up when your wrestler takes damage.

The WWE 2K15 soundtrack has been stuck in my mind for five years

From what i remember, i think you can have a ladder match by selecting TLC and set the arena to MITB

Loved 2K Showcase for the simple fact that it gave us classic arenas and superstars we normally wouldn’t get. Also the fact that if the CM Punk vs John Cena feud wasn’t being showcased, they likely would’ve removed Punk from the game lol

this is around the time when i stopped buying wwe games i had every single one since smackdown just bring it except for the very first svr but around 2013 is when i personally stopped watching wwe because i just didn't have as much time for it anymore also i just kinda got bored of it so wwe 13 is the last one i ever bought and it seems that i left at the right time by how bad the games seem to have gotten but since 2013 in 2019 i started to get back into wwe some what and would occasionally watch raw or smackdown which i hadn't watched since 2013 and so i decided to buy 2k19 and i enjoyed it mainly because it was nostalgic playing a wrestling game after so many years now in 2020 with the pandemic and all i've had a lot more time and have gotten back into wwe a lot more im in college so i have more time since im not in school 7 hours a day 5 days a week and im starting to actually enjoy wwe again cant believe i went about 6 years without watching anything wwe related when my childhood pretty much revolved around wwe

I had this game on the 360 and when he went on his rant about the missing game modes, I was honestly surprised because we had all of that stuff on the last gen version.

I remember on Christmas Day 2015 (a year after this game was released), there was a RU-vid clip going viral of a kid throwing a tantrum because his mom gave him last year's WWE 2K15, instead of the new WWE 2K16. This video goes far to validate him!

At least I was smart enough to get 2K15 on PS3 because it's great : all matches are there , updated roster , universe , who got NXT .....

You know what's BS? In 2k15s Universe Mode, it will have a one on one ladder match or a two on two extreme rules match appear on the card. So why didn't they include it in exhibition??!! Smh, this killed WWE games imo. Only reason I didn't delete it was for that sweet Honky Tonk Man DLC.

7:55 tired wrestler animations are literally the one truly great thing about any simulation wrestling game if we could just get the perfect mix of old school gameplay where you combine no mercy here comes the pain and 2k14 gameplay with the animations and graphics of something like 2k19 then I absolutely say that would be the best wrestling game ever all the modern graphics and few good parts of simulation gameplay mixed with the best gameplay ever in wrestling games will literally make the perfect game ever

This game most definitely had the best 2k Showcase mode out of all the other 2k games

I'm hoping you're gonna continue this series. I didn't realize this video was only a month old, and i was disappointed that the series stopped. 2k16 was my first WWE game since like, mid SvR era. I played em all starting from Smackdown 1, up until mid-SvR series. I stopped watching WWE because it got boring, and so I stopped playing the games. Eventually started playing again with 2k16 when Xbox gave it out for free one month. But being broke, I kinda just stopped at 2k16. I played the hell out of 16, but I never moved to a newer game. Getting 19 in the mail on Tuesday though, finally. I'm super curious to hear your opinion on 16, since it seems like a lot of the issues from 15 were fixed. And then I'm also curious about your opinion on 19, because I've heard some people legit claim it as one of the best modern WWE games. ___ I've never played 2k15, but I totally understand the feeling of slow movement. The last WWE game I played before 16 was one of the SvR games, and I remember them being super arcadey and fast. Then loading up 16, it took a bit to get used to the more simulation-style movements and speed. I got used to it eventually, but it wasn't immediate. It'd never happen, but I'd love a spin-off game where they use the same assets from the main 2k game, but make the game faster, more arcadey, and unrestrict some of the moves and weapon placements so you can do that crazy stuff you used to do. (I remember stacking tables and diving off ladders from inside to outside into them all the time in the older games.)

In fact the universe mode with the pre-established storylines was pretty good

2K15 may not be very good, but it's a masterpiece compared to whatever the hell kind of dimensional anomaly 2K20 is...

Other then the match variatons .... i really have amazing memories for this game . Seeing the fantastic Cena cover , pretty good roster , newer gameplay etc it was good

The last gen version of this is interesting, same engine as 2k14 and all the create a story cutscenes are in Universe for the rivalries

Despite hearing all the negative feedback received about this game, WWE2K15 holds a special place in my heart since it introduced me to WWE and the WWE videogame series as a whole. I got this game at Best buy when I was out with my step brother and step father back in 2014. My step let us buy a new Xbox game since recently I had gotten my new Xbox One a few months ago and I didn't have that much to play on it. I didn't know anything about WWE and I grabbed 2K15 because I saw the advertisement and thought it looked cool, head all the way back home, slid the disc in, and little did I know I would be hooked immediately in the WWE Universe. This games graphics were amazing and it was so spectacular! The gameplay felt so vibrant and exciting, the game was a whole new experience to me and it gave me so much memories attached to it. I loved 15's Showcase. Out of all the past years showcase's 2K15's and 2K16's are probably my most favorite ones. I loved playing through HHH's and HBK's fued because that was the first time I got to look back at the ruthless aggression era back in the 2000's and got to witness all the superstars in the past, giving me such a nostalgic experience. And playing through Punk and Cena's fued was like watching and even being a part of WWE's PPVs. I had never watch the shows on TV or been to a live event. But I didn't care if the fueds were dated, it was fun to me and the animations was the cherry on top. MyCareer could've been better honestly since it's very redundant and reluctant on the same thing over and over again, but playing it through was so interesting and very enticing. The experience of imagining where my Custom wrestler was in the WWE was so cool to me, and the satisfaction of progressing the story and getting far in the universe made the story even more fun to play through. I loved this games atmosphere of the new generation and the mix of the Jill Greenberg with the addition of the soundtrack made the game feel like I was at the WWE performance center or at a gym. The only lights to shine on me are the headlights and feeling hyped like I'm actually gonna wrestle one night. WWE2K15 may seem primitive now with its gamemodes limitations and its lack of customization for players and the slow, sluggish and sometimes jerking manner with certain animations during gameplay, and the fact that newer games have WAAAAAY much more to offer, but WWE2K15's graphics and the leap to next gen made the game exciting and gave me and many players hope and to look forward to the future of wrestling games. If it weren't for 2K15, I probably wouldn't be the wrestling fan I am today :)

my carrier and showcase were amazing, and I was tired of that fast arcade gameplay , we had gameplay like that for like 10 years it was time to change something. And this change made me really think im playing something else,fresh and it was fucking fun

When my 2k14 scratched up I was devistated then my parents felt bad so they got 2k15 on last gen and it did not fix me but is was still fun and at least i did not have nest gen but iI wanted 2k14 back now I have it back after 3 years

One time I got stuck in the steel steps during 2K showcase in this game.

I’ll still go back and play the older games occasionally. Pisses me off they took out Hogan in 2K15, but the showcase modes were decent and it’s the last WWE game with Punk in it.

This is the only game where you will see a front face lock get countered into a Russian leg sweep at least 5 times in one match. That’s how bad the gameplay was.
