The medicated assisted treatment saves lives. The fact that the jail is now offering that program is amazing. I've seen so many lives completely turned around bc of the MAT programs available in our community.
Well to have a change life you need to get the pardon and parole board to give people chances and not always deny them especially when they have not been in any trouble for over 18 years
Sheriff Donaldson is an amazing person who cares about the people who he was seeing coming into this facility. As a Father he was seeing his children's friends and his friends children coming into the jail it was enough to break anyone's heart. I love that he listened to the people he was housing. And I agree with the statement that it should be called a Lockdown Rehabilitation Program. Now if we can just get more opportunities for these people in the town's where they live so that they can see that they can make a good living without needing to sell drugs and fall into the trap of using drugs and alcohol to escape their lives and the hopeless situations they have found themselves in.

If that is true...they need to also retrain the CO's its odd that while my brother was murdered due to the co's flat out didnt gaf. he was in the workhouse. He was putting in medical kite after medical kite even with the other inmates begged the co's to help him. But, they were to lazy to do shit. "BULLSHIT" my brother not only was going thru withdraw as well as testing positive for flu b unable to eat or drink anything. ALL INMATES IN THE SAME TANK TRIED TO NURSE HIM BUT NOTHING!!! THEY MOVED HIM AFTER 5 DAYS TO ANOTHER TANK. THEY LITERALLY DID THE SAME T HING!!! SHOCKED THAT THE INMATES WHO THEYSAY ARE SO SO BAD...YET THEY THEMSELVES BEGGED THE CO'S TO GET HIM TO MEDICAL. IT WAS SO OVERCROWED THERE WERENT ANY BEDS SO AS SICK AS HE WAS *REMEMBER THIS WAS DURING THE VERY BEGINNING OF COVID. AGAIN WE ARENT ABLE TO TELL FOR SURE IF THIS IS THE ACTUAL SICKNESS ON TOP OF THE WITHDRAWS. LETS BE HONEST. THEY LOOKED AT HIM LIKE A CRACKHEAD DRUGGIE WHOSE LIFE MEANT NOTHING. MY BROTHER WAS ONLY 35 AND TOUCHED SOOOO MANY PPL. HE WAS THE BEST CO-OWNER OF A FAMILY BUSINESS THEREFORE A FUNCTIONING ADDICT. *NOT SAYING THAT IS OK OR BETTER THAN OTHER TYPES. SO BT THOSE 3 MEN WHO GAF LITERALLY SHOWING UP AT MY DOOR THEN FOLLOWING TO MY PARENTS LIKE NO MORE THAN 2 MILES BUT WITHOUT A WORRY OR CARE TO CAME WHICH I SURPRISED THAT THERE WAS A 4TH PERSON ALREADY THERE. sTAYED FOR DINNER AND TOLD US EVERYTHING. AFTER THE PRAYERS IN BOTH TANKS AND AGAIN THE 2ND TANK CARED ENOUGH EVEN AFTER THEY WERE REALEASED WRITING THE DETAILS IN VIVID MEMORY FOR US TO TAKE TO THE ATTY'S AFTER THAT THE STANDING MUSTVE BEEN TO MUCH HE FELL AND HE HIT HIS HEAD NOT ONLY ONLY METAL TABLE BUT AGAIN ON THE CONCRETE. THEY THEN AT THAT PT. TOOK OVER 20MIN TO GET THE MEDICAL TO GET UP THERE BC THEY WERE IGNORING THE INMATES. HE HAD 3 HEART ATTACKS AND HIS ORGANS WERE AT THAT POINT SHUTTING DOWN WHICH WASNT SOMETHING THAT THEY COULDNT HAVE FIXED THEM HE JUST NEEDED ANTIBITOICS AND MORE BUT THEY NEVER EVEN TOLD US THAT HE WAS IN THE HOSPITAL AT ALL EVEN IF WE WERENT ABLE TO GO THERE AND SEE HIM WHICH THEY KNEW HE WASNT RUNNING ANYWHERE. I HAVENT BEEN THE SAME SINCE MY CHILDHOOD BEST FRIEND THE SAME HAPPENED TO HIM HEART ATTACK AND HE WAS BRAIN DEAD B4 THE HOSPITAL ANDSHE WAS IN S.CAROLINA AT PARRISH AS HER HUSBAND WAS A SEARGENT. WE SEEN THE VIDEO THAT ABOUT KILLED US TO EVEN SEEN HIM WALKING B4 THE PRAYERS. My heart goes out to you and your family. I pray much more attention on the severe lack of medical attention when a person is locked up in jail/prison. My friend’s son almost died after his cries for help were ignored for 10 days- Thank God for 1, nurse who never gave up & finally got so mad at the guards for NOT taking him to medical after she requested them to over & over that, she called the doctor who called an ambulance. He was so septic by then, that he had to have 2 emergency surgeries and spent 1week in ICU and 2 weeks in the free world hospital. This happened in Georgia.

Lost a friend who was in an accident and instead of taking her to the hospital they put in her in the pike and the next day she was dead from an overdose after 2 years clean. Pike treats women 10xs worse because of lack of staff. the women will be the last to move over there.

This is bs. My 23 yo son had no previous record and was arrested on some bs Labor Day weekend. He was took to fisher rd and put in a single cell. He has 7 dsm diagnosis and the did nothing to help him. Everyone is in a single cell there (everything, rec time, classes, all this is bs.) then they sent my son back to Jackson Pike after being there 3 days saying he didn’t need a single cell anymore. My son has been in jail since 9/3/23 they still have not got his medicine for him/ or started… and he’s losing it at FCII his bed is on the floor because it’s over packed and his pre schizophrenia and panic attacks are kicking in. He has 100$ on commissary (supposedly, because I dropped it off 9/5 and he’s still not been given a receipt with the deposit/balance or a commissary/whites order form) I work in the recovery community. I am a CDCA, PRSS, and C-CHW; as well as, a Parent Partner for Franklin County. I’ll be reaching out to whoever I can tomorrow. This is all straight bs! The concept is excellent but they’re not utilizing it at all. 😢
