Thanks for this - much appreciated. And a better translation of that Italian would be: "Thanks for this new clip. You're great. Post more! Happy 2008."
Very Italian, head of the company riding one of his own bikes, a Benelli 750 sei. Copy of the Honda 500 four with two extra cylinders added. Preceeded the Honda CBX 6 cylinder.
Amazing to compare with the Enfield factory in India. It is obvious why these become hobbyist bikes. See all the workers turning up on knackered old scooters and the boss a wonderful state of the art Honda, cigar and comedy tie. I have a Guzzi and this film explains its character like my Enfield and Buell. I have always sold on Japanese bikes but collect the other stuff. (nine bikes two currently running.LOL)
Did anyone notice that..Alexander, come riding in on a Honda CBX 6.... and then to tell the goverment to stop importing " bikes from other countries" I like bike all bikes...but if I was the President of a company at least use that product...ROFLMFAO
I think Carcano had left the company by then - he left as de Tomaso took over. In any case, de Tomaso took over Benelli forst (the 2C and 125 turismo are actually the last designs of the "old" benelli company). The Sei took some years to get ging, but by '77 it was at market
I'm sure I read somewhere that Carcano had been involved in the design of the "Sei" I think initially De Tomasso wanted it badged as a Moto Guzzi, like some of the other Benelli bikes.
