2:39 the word "Carles" is pronounced as "Carla's". Like the sentence "Carla's mother is at home". So Carla's is the right way to pronounce it :) Unless you're from Western Catalonia.

Tourists have almost ruined La Boqueria...it is more of a theme park than a market now...why would anyone want to encourage them to do the same to another market...AND for the record, Mercat Santa Caterina was much better before they renovated it...Be a responsible visitor and stay out of the way of the people who live and work in the old part of the city.

We definitely agree that overtourism can have negative effects on places such as local markets, but visiting these places in a responsible way can be a great way to experience local culture. We like to remind our guests and viewers that the market is not a museum-it's the heart of the city where locals go about their daily tasks, and we need to be respectful of that. For example, it's always a good idea to ask vendors before taking their photo, and buying things at the market is a great way to support the local vendors and economy (we don't encourage visiting the market as a free tourist attraction).
