I’m really hoping the return to Milwaukee is a successful one on Labor Day weekend! The sport needs to advertise the weekend, and the fans have 2 DAYS to show up and prove that Milwaukee deserves to stay on the schedule!

1)absolutely correct. 2) I hope Milwaukee advertises the heck out of it like Iowa and WWTR. I love the series but they seem to do the bare minimum in terms of promoting.

@@onethumbks Gateway is good with advertising thanks to Bommarito Automotive Group. Iowa is good with advertising thanks to HyVee. Either way, promotions for oval races and fans doing their part DO MATTER! Both sides have to do their part.

I'm not buying all the negativity in the comments here. I think this can be a positive step in the right direction. We do need more, but I will applaud this one win when we see it in action.

Yes, yes, lets add complexity and weight for no good reason. They are already using clean fuel and by 2030 will be using 100% non-petroleum based fuels so what is the point? Does it improve the show? Does it keep costs down so more people can compete? Start a series with NASCAR engines in an open wheel car. No unnecessary electronics. Call it a modern Formula 5000 series. Remember F5000 cars were less expensive but faster than F1 cars. It's the show stupid.

That's the plan. Not sure about electric reverse, but in other tests drivers have refired cars with the "ultracapacitor."

Hybrid is a huge step for the series! Get to keep a nice gas engine with the sound and everything yet manufacturers and sponsors may be more interested in

It won’t be surprising if it all gets bankrupted by 2030.

NASCAR just got 3 times the ratings Indycar got and F1 got double what Indycar got. But hey, hybrids a decade late will bring in the viewers. Penske does the bare minimum for this series. Please sell it to someone who’s not going to be constantly 10-15 years behind every other series. The same old, same old isn’t working.

Penske driving Indycar into the ground. The cars suck, the engines suck, and they don't even care. They live in a bubble. The only hope is for the owners to threaten to leave the series unless Penske lets them run the show. The only way to fix the split is another split. He'll have to cave when he realizes no one will show up next May. This guy isn't Tony George who spent his family's fortune keeping the IRL afloat. He can have the Speedway and the 500 which is all he really cares about anyway, but let the owners drive the series forward. They were going 25 MPH faster here 30 years ago.

Good luck with the hybrid engines Indycar. You honestly shouldn’t do it. As Martin Brundle has commented in two F1 races so far this year, the turbo hybrid engines introduced into F1 are one of the sport’s greatest mistakes.

There's no battery pack on their hybrid system. It's a capacitor that bolts onto the top of the engine that stores and deploys power. There's not a shred of lithium in the system and the exhaust note won't change.

@@danielhenderson8316 The exhaust note in F1 also didn't change due to a hybrid powertrain. F1's mistake was to introduce neutered power units instead of creating a rule book for hybrid powertrains in which engineers could've freely developed really spectacular power units.

@@armorgeddon The experts put it down to the MGU-H, but when F1 was Turbo V6s in the eighties, they did not sound like vacuum cleaners the current engines do, and I don't think adding more RPM would help. Mind you, I don't mind the current IndyCar engine sound, and there's nothing they are adding that will change that per Marshall Pruett on RACER and his videos documenting the hybrid.

Never mentioned Chevy cause they weren’t the one pushing hybrid technology Honda didn’t even have the tech ready it was supposed to be in place already MMW Honda will push electric power plants in a few years and if Roger doesn’t play nice they will threaten to pull from the series again
