Welcome back to another chapter of my sabbatical diaries! It's been a month since I've quit Meta where I was a software engineer and I'm feeling a lot more recharged from this trip. Here's a day in the life of a software engineer on a sabbatical :D This week, I finally make my first trip to Hawaii!
Kauai: I started off in Kauai on the Kalalau trail for hiking. We stayed around Princeville and rented a car to make a trip around most of the island's coast. The highlight of Kauai was taking a sunset boat cruise to get a panoramic view of the Na Pali Coast.
Oahu: Afterward, we flew to Oahu where I snorkeled for the first time at Hanauma Bay! I even met a TikToker, kevinwu2, who showed us around for hot tub hopping in Waikiki. This was the first time I've ever done a meetup with a content creator! Overall, we ate poke at least once a day--most of the time, we went to Foodlands for our poke since there's always a large variety there. Looking forward to going back to Hawaii in the future!
