A Lumix S5 Wedding Film

Once I did a solo shooter gig, capturing an intimate wedding with Lumix S5.
It would be nice to have two videographers on the day to capture a wedding. But sometimes you need to do it by yourself. The challenge is there, but it also comes with its own quirks. Having this camera really allows me to shoot more freely, creatively, and helps me to bring out the stories better.
Hey, if you are interested with how my experience shooting this wedding and would love to know some bits of tips and tricks, please let me know :)

Wonderful video! I love the colours, your way of narration and the vibe in general. What stabilization did you use and how to manage so good with manual focus? follow focus, recording monitor?

Thank you NK, happy that you liked it. Lumix S5 is so good with its IBIS I shot mostly handheld, except the waltz and the walking out using weebill S. No need to use follow focus and monitor. If you're on a gimbal, set the distance focus between you and the subject beforehand. Then keep the distance when you're moving. Hope this helps.

I’ve been trying to find a video that had really good colors from the S5 and this one definitely sold me. I love the skintone rendering in this video. I was gonna ask if you shot in V Log or Natural but I saw you that shot it in standard + 8bit and I was like wow lol I’m gonna have try it

Lumix S5 is a no-brainer I think, it's really affordable delivering great quality. It's not for everyone cause of its limitation but it's totally an amazing camera :)

Damn this was beautiful! May I ask what lens you used? And did u use an external recorder?

Thaanks! It was mostly on 35mm canon, 58mm helios, and some zoom lenses for full documentary shots. All recorded in cam

Panasonic cameras are not reliable with their AF, so yes, all manual. But hopefully it'd change one day lol

Thank you, I used another GH5 as the safe angle camera.

ha ha. I'm interested. I've been asked to film a wedding and this camera looks like it adds a lot of versatility. I have a gh5s and a g85. Curious (to anyone in the comments) how easy it is to match footage from the S5 to the G series when color grading.

Mostly canon ef 35mm, 135mm, and helios 58mm
