I absolutely love their call. It was weird at first, but I've grown to love it. I hope I can one day see elk from a distance and snap a few pics

Beautiful video! I've been fortunate to see Tule elk in my home state of California, and also Rocky Mountain elk when I visited Colorado. Such majestic animals!

All people, even hunters, after watching this video...shall never in their lives try to hunt or shoot any of these magnificent beasts that typify the amazing mountain forests that is their home....for what if uncontrolled sport-hunting for their prized antlers causes them to go extinct from this earth? The Elk is the sole source of prey for the wolf, another magnificent animal, and if sport-hunters and outdoorsmen who treat bears, wolves, coyotes, cougars, wolverines and lynxes as vicious, savage man-eaters that must be eliminated for the sake of human safety continue to hunt the elk down to the brink of extinction, so that captive breeding populations can only exist in zoos...and then accuse the grey wolf, which depends on the elk for food and hunt, trap, and shoot it down for its winter coat, despite having a complex family structure, so that they could continue on their relentless quest to hunt all sorts big and small animals in their path and even go on to hunt more animals in Africa, India and Oceania??!!??!! Then what would happen to all the beautiful, pristine wilderness of the Rockies and Serengeti if sport hunters and outdoorsmen continue to shoot virtually all big and small animals to extinction and build massive roads, football stadiums and sports bars in place of forests? Is this not what god created in their Christian faith for them to mercilessly hunt and shoot, and they still like to watch bloody things on TV?!?!? How cruel, how un-Christian, how unjust! Many Sport hunters and outdoorsmen seem to have very little respect for nature and her beautiful wildlife! Have pity, much pity, on elk, moose, bison, bighorn sheep, pronghorn, caribou, Javelinas, lions, leopards, warthogs, zebras, hippos, elephants, Cape buffalo, wild boars, wolves, Cougars and bears when they were helpless, innocent babies.....And would it not be nice or interesting to see aliens arrive on earth to hunt down humans, who have done so much cruelty to nature as to senselessly kill her wildlife or desecrate her entire forests and fields, for sport and subsistence and prize them for their clothes or skin?!?!! After alI, I, a strict pacifist and vegetarian, by the sake of God, do not want to see such barbaric things like this ever happen again!!

In North America we are very lucky to have the North American Conservation Model in which hunting license sales (and fishing/excize taxes) pays for wildlife/natural resource conservation so in North America most of what you have mentioned (I stopped reading by your 2nd sentence) would not be possible without the North American Conservation model (including money from hunting license sales)

No chance of hunting to extention! Unless rule of law, country breaks down! Disease could but not hunting ! In America lady although hunting decimated populations over a century ago buf since then we've saved, brought back and continue to regulate, fund the health of our species! Best on the planet at doing so I might add
