A fine climb! Interesting red gully. Great views from the top. In the late '70's, my Colorado Mountain Club Basic Mountaineering group did Crestone Needle up a snow couloir in ~June. Thanks for taking us up Crestone Peak.
Another great climb! The red gully looks vertical. Do your legs ever get sore and worn out? You hike/ climb frequently and your vertical gain is so much. I've never done that much elevation gain in one hike. I do get sore and stiff after a big hike and it's best for me to wait three days before another. I pushed myself so much in 2023, over 700 miles, trying to build my stamina but all I did was cause stage two kidney failure. It was exercise induced. Hiking and Climbing are considered a high endurance sport. Great music and video!!! Looking forward to the next climb.
Hey Vickie. I do get fatigued during a big climb like this. I drink plenty of water with electrolytes to avoid leg cramp etc on the climb and take breaks whenever I feel a bit winded. My body typically remains sore for a couple of days and then I’m eager for the next adventure :)
I think I know who you are: I just began following Jun in the AllTrails app. As always, you capture nature’s stunning beauty so well! I always look forward to watching your adventures.
Another great video! We spent the month of August in Westcliffe so we had views of this mountain everyday. We hiked to a number of the alpine lakes but no 14’ers. Be safe!
