I love how the dodgeball was added by pure chance as a bit, and somehow it not only improved the quality of the stream by a large margin, but Jolly also started talking to it like it was a co-host
I'm gonna guess those are mainly from clip farmers -- overreacting to entertain little kids. To me the mod seems to fail at being scary. Jumpscares can work if there's tension built up beforehand. This has the jumpscares, but no tension at all.
@@zulubunsen9067I'd give the mod a bit more props on that. The lamp segment is great (for what it is) at making you feel weak with the darkness and limiting your weapons that it could make some tense up that a jumpscare would become more effective. Hard to argue that a lot of CC do play it up for the camera, but this mod is decent jumpscare "horror" for what it is. Even Jolly got caught off guard once and he's more numb to all this, people who like to immerse in to it would probably be more susceptible to the jumpscares.
... wait a second... I remember an owl, a homeless panda man, a pig, and a hockey mask play this map years ago. Yup, that was it. There was no one else. Nope.
@@tomd96it's been like that since launch day. FNAF, nextbots, skibidi toilet, etc etc all also caused influxes but in general children have been a big part of the Gmod player base for as long as it's existed
@@kellymountain yeah, which is what I meant with my message, the kids are the backbone of all map makers as they aspire to make something big. Learning that tool ain't easy
@@JacobTheCrocwhich is even more badass > be 12 > start hammer > make shitty map, feel proud > RU-vidr plays shitty map, says its shitty > even more proud
gmod horror map makers be like "you know what would be scary? if we disabled the player's flashlight and put no light sources in our map except for a physics prop that illuminates one inch in every direction. and if you lose it, it's gone forever"
In America if you want to get rid of a baby you just leave it at the fire station and ding dong ditch them. Its like a flaming bag of dog poo, except it screams
the light and the baby keeping showing up feels like either the mapmaker thought they were important or they just had some sort of code for "if thing player was carrying gets lost, spawn another one here" for the lantern and it just carried over to the baby.
jolly half of the gutteral reverb sounds are probably reverbed farts just slowed way down and then tempod back to the same speed its a very consistent way to make "spooky" noises in audacity
Knowing absolutely nothing about Australian culture I'm really curious where "Dingo Ate My Baby" falls on the "offensive jokes" scale since it was such a theme this video. As an American or feels like it should fall closer to "Casey Anthony" than "9/11" but no one knows about Australian tragedy besides the Emu Wars.
Jolly has awoken from his slumber to grace us with the wit and humor equivalent to that of a thousand screaming chickens. A truly blessed week this has been.
This episode brought out the best in Jolly. Him and The Baby fighting all the Zombies to escape the Haunted Building while hearing the Angel of a Dodgeball. This episode is excellent.
I haven't watched Jolly in a while, but I really enjoyed this. Seems like he was just enjoying himself. I enjoyed how tame it feels compared to other loud youtubers I watch.
I cannot believe how much extra seamless value that dodgeball sound gave us. Thank you occasional dodgeball sound. Also, great to see you making videos once again jolly, I missed you
If you've never used one of those "10 hours of silence with x at random times" videos, try it, it's SO much fun. I swear the universe has impeccable comedic timing.
7:58 okay, that one did actually make me jump a little bit.. The 10 hours of silence random. We interrupted by a random sound is a relatively new phenomena... It's actually extremely common for prisons to have nominally closed electromagnetic doors...
Pre viewing I would just like to say the title and thumbnail combination is literally the most intriguing combo for a video I have seen in a long time (Enjoyed btw)
Even electric doors don't require it to open. They are usually built to fail open, defaulting to unlocked when there is no power so that nobody is trapped. Sliding doors at supermarkets actually just push open with very little effort..
