A Man Called Joseph 

Bill Peffley wrote the song! He met his wife through the Legion of Mary. They owned a Catholic gift store. My son who collects vinyl records and sells them obtained the album from the 70’s entitled Mary’s songs by Bill Peffley. Amazingly in my research I found they had a son who is a Catholic priest in VA named Fr. Francis Peffley. He has a website and actually juggles fire and swords too. I am an elementary music teacher. I retired from public school in 2017. I teach music to preschool through Graded 5 part time at St. Joseph’s School in Fairhaven, MA. Last year I was looking through old music files and found the words to this song. I needed the tune this year because my 18 member children’s choir from Grades 1-8 is going to sing it on March 19, 2024 for St. Joseph’s Feast Day at our school Mass. How thrilled I was to find you singing it on the internet!!!! One of my 3rd grade boy students was delighted to see you wearing your Kansas City Royals baseball shirt because he loves baseball. Continue to witness for Christ my friend! Look at the impact you made on my life and how you helped me here in MA!! God bless you! Hope to meet you someday!
