Great review! And, I finally got my copy of this and watched the uncut Mandarin version tonight - great stuff!!! Classic Jimmy Wang Yu basher with dynamite fight choreography and an excellent supporting cast, never seen it before, exceeded my expectations. For all the flak Lo Wei gets for his direction, I gotta say he did a great job with this one. Beautiful restoration, and my main man Brandon Bentley did a Herculean job of piecing the Mandarin track back together and re-animating the original opening credits. Love Brandon’s featurette about the recovered missing subtitles that shed some insight into scenes that are still missing, cut before the original HK release. Fascinating stuff! Eureka and its co-conspirators have rescued another HK gem!
