I dont mind them being underrated...it allowed them to survive the Hair Band purge in the early 90s and they are still around today making killer album after killer album. Blackie Lawless has not lost a step. I just wish they'd tour stateside more often!

I like them just where they are, not completely underground and not too mainstream, easier to weed out the people who claim they are rockers but only know famous mainstream bands and artists!
A terribly underrated band that you will like...lots of acoustic and slow stuff mixed in with plenty of ass-kickery. Blackie Lawless has one really nice unique voice. The guitar in this is real tasty...makes it "cry."

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST ROCK SONGS OF ALL TIME. It's pure perfection, beautifully arranged, a masterful guitar, great drums and a very unique, totally exceptional singer. Most of all, the melody is so beautiful that one could drop a few tears of joy. Something that I experience only in classical music. It is a piece of pure art. It's poetry in music. It's 10 out of 10, and actually so good it's impossible to rate. The work of a genius. "where is the love, TO SHELTER ME?"

My favorite band of all time. Saw them as many times as I could live. Yes I've been single for a long time,,,my fiancee died in 1996,,,,this song hits home for me. Crimson Idol album which this is from is an amazing concept album about Johnathan a 16 year old who runs away from his family to play guitar in the big city. It's about the music industry and all the 'leeches' who hang onto him because of the money and fame his talent brings, but all he wants is acceptance from his parents. It's a heavy metal tragedy with some truly amazing songs, Arena of Pleasure, Chainsaw Charlie are my 2 favourites off the album but they are all great.
WOW! Great choice Preston! I didn’t figure on WASP but they are one of my favorite groups. Good choice of a song too! If you ever do WASP again try Wild Child. It’s pretty cool.
@@steelerfreak1977 I'm not here to argue with you. It's not a good frame of reference for what the rest of the music they produced. Its synonymous of wanting people to listen to cherry pie if you are trying to introduce someone to Warrant. There are plenty of other great tracks on Last command. Wild child remains as their odd man out song.

Man Preston, you are on fire with these reactions! This, to me, is the most underrated band of all time! I have every one of their albums and absolutely cherish them. This whole album is a concept album that illustrates the challenges bands from the 80s went through to come to fame under the discretion of large record labels. They had to sell out in order to make it big. Please react to more W.A.S.P! This whole album should be listened to consecutively but I would LOVE to see you react to Chainsaw Charlie off this album!

What impresses me most about Wasp is that they can do songs like "Murders in the Rue Morgue" and "Love Machine", but also some of the greatest ballads ever like this one, "Keep Holding On" and "Forever Free". I love this band and would love to see them live.
I remember seeing WASP open for Iron Maiden back in '85. Great stuff. Try WASP F*ck Like A Beast, I'm Blind in Texas, or I Wanna Be Somebody. This is bring me back to old Skool concerts I went to, like Rush. Don't think you have ever reviewed ANY Rush. I know you love the instrumentals. Give a react to Rush YYZ, Preston. Rush is just 3 guys that just killed it from 1968-2018 and now members of the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. The drummer AKA The Professor is hands-down one of thee, if not the best drummer ever. Gotta respect that.
Never cared for WASP. But this was a treat - You and I listening to it for the first time, together. Like in my youth. Listening to a song for the first time with a friend. So you know! We are now friends ;-)

It's not at all about a single man looking for love (in the romantic sense). read up on this album man, it'll be worth it. It's a harrowing rock and roll story.
I’ve seen over 100 concerts in my live and the best performance was watching wasp in the house of blues while on vacation at myrtle beach , but when he sang this song and how it was performed.....never ever ever have I been so captivated and just frozen with greatest....it’s been probably 14 years since then that every time I have a bad day , I play this song and bam, I’m taught back there watching blackie standing on his mic stand skull like pogo stick , in black lights with colors that flowed..tears tears tears
The whole album is a MUST for any metal fan! Saw them live performing the entire Crimson Idol album on it's 25th anniversary and it was one of the best shows I've been to!
Ooooh you have opened a whole new can of music here, W.A.S.P are unbelievable they are awesome live seen them a few times and they are still going strong, this is one of if not my favourite song. The whole album The Crimson Idol is amazing.

*W.A.S.P. - Blind In Texas* Gets my vote for a more up-tempo song. IMO the first 5 albums rate the best. So pleased you reacted to W.A.S.P. , a complete surprise! It might also surprise you that the band's name is an acronym for 'We Are Sexual Perverts'.
Really an album that should be listened to from front to back. If you listen to the rest of the album you'll understand this song better. The Crimson Idol in my mind is one of the best albums ever made.

"Wayfarer" is the psychedelic rock adapted by Hua Chenyu, just like the fantasy land, this song is very layered. The song "Child" has a pure and warm sound like an angel. Both of these songs are liked by people immediately.

Blackie Lawless is one of the most prolific songwriters and the absolute best lyricists in Heavy Metal. He has been writing songs since the late 70's. He was a "shadow writer" for Capitol Records, writing songs for other artists.

W.A.S.P. has always been controversial. Been a fan since day 1. W.A.S.P.- The Headless Children you will totally enjoy. Even though it was made in the 90s, it has so much to di o with today. Great band and reaction- much love and respect!!!
