Agreed. Im scared they have MS with all those muscle issues. Take a week off. She wouldn't know how to take a vacation aREAL break. She's been hustling for decades. She earned it.
I cant believe they didnt invite the Dune Marketing Director to the premiere. Thats so fucked up. Im glad theyre talking about it. That movie was so fucking good. My fav movie ever!
“You’re the only thing keeping me alive. See you Friday!” Oh my god I’m dying 😭😭 In all seriousness please please PLEASE! Take breaks when you need it, Trixie! You deserve rest even if you feel like you have to keep performing for the fans. Real fans of yours will understand if you need to take care of yourself.
Theres always going to be opinions from both sides bc you're the only one who can have the full perspective on your health--without being harsh it's your responsibility to do the right thing for you. They will understand and they'll probably pay for your treatment and vacation by re re re watching the EXTENSIVE and VAST years of content you have available to people. I don't think it's a need of their to have you there but you do need to rest in a serious way
@@cherrycokee yeah she's mentioned it a bunch, hopefully nobody actually gets upset about it lmao but I think most of the audience is cross pollinated and gets the joke
Long time listener of the pod and also someone who was left with some pretty intense chronic autoimmune issues after contracting COVID. A lot of the symptoms Trixie has mentioned having issue with do sound similar to my own experience as well as ones that have been documented in long Covid studies in the last few years. Not a professional, but it might be a good idea to talk to one to at least get the possibility ruled out. Having longer lasting multi-system issues post covid is more common than many people are aware of and reinfection can increase the likelihood of these issues. Regardless, I wish Trixie the best with navigating her health struggles.
Trixie reached the turning point - so many of us have been there. Our ability to push through pain and discomfort helped us survive our abusive childhoods and become successful despite a million disadvantages trying to hold us back. And at a certain point, our bodies and our souls say “Done! I’m down!” And then our brain takes FOREVER to figure out that we need to completely reverse our approach. From here on out, pain and fatigue don’t mean PUSH, they mean PAUSE. Radical rest - using your incredible tenacity to go against the grain of toxic productivity and chronic under-sleeping, so your body can truly heal and rest. If you’ve overworked and been under-cared-for throughout childhood, it’s going to take months and months of radical rest and building new trust and communication with your body. You’ll get to do the amazing things you love to do again. But the longer you resist your gargantuan need for radical rest in the face of pain, and instead grit your teeth and try to push through, the longer you’ll need to rest before you can return to a place of physical comfort and functioning. You are one thousand percent worth it, everyone experiencing this.
TEAAAAAAA!!! Trixie, your fans who truly love you don’t want to see you run yourself into the ground. We love you sis. Take a break, we ain’t goin nowhere! 🌸💖
Trixie, for your knees you must try Absorbine Veterinary Liniment Gell Topical analgesic sore muscle and joint pain relief. It is sold at Tractor Supply company. Yes it is for horses but elderly people including myself swear by it. Also, Voltaren Arthritis pain relief cream from the drug store will help almost immediately.
@@chloetry206 as a lifelong elderly 27 year old equestrian who uses this liniment like it's lotion in order to walk... Trust me, it is 😂❤ everyone in the horse world knows starting to join your horse in using this liniment is "the death..... Nell" 😂😂😂
Trixie PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take a break. An actual break. Do absolutely nothing strenuous. If you don’t give your body time to breathe you’re going to damage yourself so bad that no amount of medicine or BetterHelp is gonna fix you. You can’t just exercise your body’s warning signs away. It’s telling you that you need to ease up on your regimen and work schedule.
Trixie, maybe see if your family has a history of Lupus. If your Dr.s haven't already tested for it, maybe request that they do. It presents differently in everyone but it's very common to flare up in joints. Please take care ❤️
also let’s not forget that covid can cause all sorts of fuckery, even months or years after you’ve had it. covid can trigger MCAS which can cause symptoms like she’s having. i hope her doctors figure it out soon. 😭
This, or it could be Rheumatoid Arthritis. I have it and during flare-ups I could barely move or stretch my limbs properly. I hope she does look into this bc IF it is an autoimmune condition, the sooner she gets on medication, the sooner she’ll feel better and spare her joints from any more damage
I feel so bad for Trixie not feeling good for so long, she is way too young to feel so bad! I hope you figure out what's going on with you, Trixie! Much love!
didn’t expect trixie to downplay long covid like that in the beginning… so many people are still getting sick, with covid as well as other illnesses, more often and for longer periods of time. there’s so much we don’t know about LC still but even the data from some studies, however imperfect they may be, shows it to be something to take precautions against. i hope she feels better soon 😷🩷
I mean as someone who got diagnosed with Long Covid after my first infection in October (I checked with a nucleocapsid test) despite doing my best to take precautions, I have come to expect very little since most people don’t believe it’s around anymore. They think it’s tinfoil-hat conspiracy, the same people who wore a mask when the covid numbers were literally lower than they are now, don’t understand that the vaccine does not make you indestructible, it just lowers risk of Long Covid to at minimum 1 in 10 infections before waning in efficacy. There are many documented cases of joint pain and inflammation, arthritis, fatigue, loss of appetite, all the things Trixie mentioned (not diagnosing her though) but no one is keeping up with it because governments left everyone high and dry to “recover the economy!” and health and science communication withered away with it all. And the same people who know the government often Does Not have your back if you are marginalized (queer, disabled, etc) can’t seem to believe it. It’s wild too because if you see behind-the-scenes of many current movies and TV shows, so much of the crew is masked to protect the famous actors. They do testing before filming. They have air purifiers and far-UV tech to minimize spread. But as much as I like these two, it tracks that they downplay it, it doesn’t get airtime in their circles and it wouldn’t pay $ to stop doing shows or increase mitigations. But it’s disappointing nonetheless, and I also do really hope she feels better soon.
yess thank uu!! there are tens of thousands of peer reviewed studies from the past 4 years from all across the globe that show covid fucks up our organs and immune systems big time, we should mask up with n95s or better to keep ourselves and each other healthy
Trixie- go to a rheumatologist. It took me 3 month to find out what was wrong with me, at 35, super fit. I had very similar symptoms you have, ended up being Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Fun fact - The “Turn Down For What” music video that Trixie was trying to reference was directed by the two lovely gentlemen, The Daniels, who went on to direct Everything Everywhere All At Once!
im experiencing a lot of the same symptoms as trixie and i too don’t have answers. BUT i found that if i rest more than usual i tend to feel better. also taking curcumin and hyaluronic acid supplements help with the inflammation and pain. but i’ve become very intolerant of exercise and stress and coping been a real learning curve.
i had a cousin who let it get REALLY bad (doctors were morons and didnt diagnose it for years) and yeah...thats what im getting too. But im not a doctor (in fact, im an idiot!) so i dont want to speculate -- i just hope trixies medical experts can light a fire under their ass and figure out whats going on with her health.
Same I thought rheumatoid arthritis too. Which has nothing to do with running though let’s get that straight. It’s an autoimmune disease, and can be triggered by all sorts of things like genes and smoking.
I can testify that I missed Dune part one in the theaters when it came out, then forgot about it and I finally watched it recently after hearing Katya talk about it so much
Just started the episode, but please get tested for Lyme disease. It can have wild side effects. I ended up seeing a weird string of people with it during schooling. Their symptoms were ALL different, but similar. You might have to push for the testing, for some reason many doctors are reluctant to testing for it. You can even have a test sent to your home.
I am a healthcare provider and it hurts to see public figures express such a strong statements, then katya joins her and makes a joke about the vaccine, I am pro vaccine, don’t get me wrong, but side effects are a serious matter. Also the way the always talk down to the audience, making fun of teenage girls , which is a large portion of the fandom… I sometimes ask myself why do I keep watching them … they don’t have any of the qualities that make me fall in love with them
I don’t think Trixie’s mom was talking about long covid causing her problems, but the covid vaccine itself causing them which is why Trixie did the tremor shaking and Katya made the “pfizer” joke because there was a wave of conservatives who would post videos of themselves faking tremors saying “Thanks pfizer” Trying to discourage people from getting vaccinated. They were making fun of those people.

Trixie my queen I’ve been a ptsd and anorexic person all my life. I got obsessed with walking and I actually completely destroyed my body. You need to find something else hun. Your knees will thank you and your stomach too. My stomach caved in like a concave little boy type thing. Please look after yourself. We can wait for you, ❤️❤️
The second one is so much better. And i loved the first one. But Dune 1 was when you're on a rollercoaster going up and up to the drop. Dune 2 was that massive drop on the rollercoster and a couple high G loop d loops! Its fantastic. I cant wait for the end of the trilogy.
I wish more people would investigate the riveting documentary that reveals the actual truth about the “McDonalds Hot Coffee” lawsuit. It was horrific, tragic, and the fact that even 20+ years later people *still* mistakenly joke about that poor 90+ year old woman’s grotesque disfigurement at the hands of McDonalds and their PR machine, is so frustrating. Crotch skin grafts that didn’t take the first time. Et cetera. !!!!!! Plus, she’s been incorrectly seen as a figurehead for the frivolous lawsuit epidemic (which does exist), and yet her case was anything *but* that.
I’m watching this while Trixie Is on her break. I hope she starts feeling better before too long. I kept wanting to go up and hug her. Chronic pain is so hard.
that whole section about the friend forcing trixie to watch something is SO relatable it’s PAINFUL. It is so hard to just genuinely say “hey yea idgaf but send me the link later”
Oh Trixie, honey. You may have some long Covid stuff going on. Your risks for it increase with each infection. You need a break and rest 💜. I hope you get some answers and feel better soon!
getting covid 3+ times can absolutely impact your long-term health. i think miss val is incorrect about that diagnosis, it sounds like trixie is suffering from repeated damage to the joints. but it's weird that y'all brought up the anti-vax woman with the tremors on tiktok, that's completely different than long covid. im genuinely confused.
It just goes to show how badly public health messaging has failed because 4 years into the pand3mic we should all be familiar with long c0vid and taking it seriously. The fact that post-c0vid complications are being conflated with anti-v@x rhetoric indicates we've gone terribly wrong.
youre right, long covid is very serious! unfortunately it can also lead to joint problems, incl autoimmune stuff like rheumatoid arthritis, so could also be that :(
Let's see... Your job is incredibly physical, mental, and emotional. You never take breaks. You are constantly spinning 500 plates, wearing 700 hats (wigs), and never slow down. Trixie, take a month off. Our bodies will make us slow down if we don't rest. ❤
Hope you feel better soon and the Drs find out what's going on! Make sure you get a 2nd opinion also. If anything you can contact the Mayo clinic & they may do testing for you as well
TRIXIE GIRL get the magnesium lotion COMPRESSION SOCKS and arnica oil on every time you stand up I hope someone beams this message to her love you beautiful women
40:30 if you feel like massages are very hit or miss at making you feel better, you guys should try Rolfing. Rolfing is basically a fascia massage and is super beneficial for joint dysfunction, general muscle pains, and posture. it’s slightly painful, but in a very satisfying way. Rolfers are licensed MTs, but have also attended the Ida Rolf Institute- which means Rolfers are not a common specialist to find, but extremely worth it if you find one.
Katya's ciggy story reminds me so much of the "Cool Dad" character from Kids In The Hall. Katya's always giving that "Tammy" tongue-out expression from Bruce McCulloch.
Some ideas for the joint stuff. You might need more potassium. Also get screened for Lyme disease and arthritis. Also I recommend trying osteo biflex triple strength with turmeric or magnesium. I work at a powder metal factory and it's very physical. The osteo bi flex makes a big difference.
Its not a common thing to help but Trixie if you know of a larger indian healthcare services hosptial near you, make an appointment with the traditional healer. They put my moms knee back together when she needed a replacement and they helped with my neck trauma
You guys have to watch An Anatomy of Fall!! I think you'd like it. Also idk if you've mentioned if you've seen Killers of the Flower Moon, but also watch that. Martin Scorsese and Lily Gladstone's work is stunning ✨😩
it's taken so long but finally trixie experienced horrible things so she asked katya and now is interested in yoga. please make it ur whole personality forever, u won't regret it but keep the children fed =] thankyou 🙏🏻
Trixxieeeee I’m worried about youuuuu. Maybe it’s time to pull a Katya-not in a joking way just a good break maybe will help you figure out your health idk it just makes me so sad seeing you in pain 😢
The Hereditary piano wire reference had me crying!!! I hope I don't randomly laugh out loud thinking about that if I get into a situation where I feel trapped like Trixie did. Feel better mama!
I had a similar massage experience where I told her I’m an athlete and she can really dig in, and she spent 90% of the time doing reflexology on my feet and head. Awful
Trixie, I know I may be one of the many people who have commented about this already, but please go get checked out by a rheumatologist. This is coming from a doctor - the symptoms you're describing are morning stiffness (that I assume gets better the more movement you do throughout the day), joint and muscle pain, fatigue, and all that sounds like an actual arthritic syndrome, but you can't be sure if it's just an isolated thing, or it may be a systemic issue, like lupus or rheumatoid polyarthritis, and the treatment is definitely a whole different thing between these types of diseases. I really hope it's not a serious problem and I hope you'll get the proper care and relaxation for you to feel better.
Trixie please take care of yourself 😢 Who cares if you need to take off work for a month or something, the longer it goes on the longer you'll be out of commission. The legit fans will understand! ❤
