I hear you Jena. But it happens when family move on and theres no one to pay the taxes, the city takes the land and sell it do what they please. It's all about money. Thank God that my Great grandparents land is safe the families buried there. As well my moms family they also have a family cemetery that we keep clean, pay the taxes, they are building houses all around there. It's illegal to now bury on your land unless there's already family buried there. You still have to pay taxes. God Bless. Love, respect and positivity always. Neita.

Our Blessed Hope, our Savior Jesus Christ. Do you know him? Do "you", ("whoever" is reading this), know Jesus? Even more, are you "Saved"? If Jesus were to return today, "now", would you be ready? Are you ready? That is the one question that you, and everyone, better know the answer to, because that is the most important decision you will ever make. Jesus is the "ONLY WAY TO SALVATION". There is no other way, "none". This "life" that you are living now, is a "limited" existence. The life after this is "ETERNAL", which brings us to another question: "Where do you want to spend eternity?" Well, you have only "two" choices: either "HEAVEN" or "HELL"! Not everyone will go to Heaven and likewise not everyone will go to Hell. It's your choice! It's always been your choice. Have you ever wondered why we all don't go to Heaven? Well, it's because of just one thing. But that "one" thing "separates" us all from God, and that one thing, is "SIN"! We are all born into sin, everyone is, and the Bible says that the wages (penalty) of sin is "Death". You see, because of our sins, when we all die, we are all "eternally separated" from God. But you know what? God Loves you so much that he made a way for you, for all of us. The Bible also teaches us that even though the penalty (wages) for our sins is death, we can gain SALVATION (a GIFT FROM GOD) through his only begotten son, Jesus Christ. God made a way! He sacrificed his only son, for "you"! That's how much he Loves you. ROMANS 6:23 kjv For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Here's the GOOD NEWS, (THE GOSPEL) Jesus took your sins and paid your sin debt in full. He took all your sins, past, present and future, to the Cross, shed his Blood and literally DIED for your sins, was buried and then God raised him from the dead three days later. Anyone who believes in the finished work of Jesus Christ will be Saved. That's THE GOSPEL (which means GOOD NEWS). 1 CORINTHIANS 15:1-4 kjv 15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. He paid the price so you don't have to. Jesus is the ONLY ONE who could. He is the ONLY WAY. JOHN 14:6 kjv 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. God gives you, all of us, this "GIFT", because he Loves you. How much does God Love you? Well, let me ask you this: "Could you sacrifice your only child?" That is exactly what our Heavenly Father did. He gave (sacrificed) his only begotten son, Jesus, for "you", for the "WHOLE WORLD"! JOHN 3:16-18 kjv 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Please, don't let Gods "sacrifice" (for you) be in vain. Jesus "died" for you. Please "Live" (eternally) for him.

I managed a cemetery in Virginia and 40 years after it was started an outlet mall was built on bothe sides of the entrance to this cemetery. After months of shoppers walking through processions of mourner's entering the cemetery for burial we had to MOVE the entrance! It was expensive and most of all SAD!!!!! The new entrance was through a neighborhood, which wasn't celebrated! The demise of this cemetery was due to pure disrespect of the dead! It's still so hurtful to this day!😩😩

No way Walmart will do anything like that. Spending money to not make money is not what they do. I doubt that Walmart owns the land. Probably a commercial real estate developer entity, which bought and developed the property and then signed a decades' long lease with Walmart. So, the greedy person(s) who "might" (we don't know) have taken shortcuts during development and disrespected the under the asphalt dead is likely primarily the developer, not Walmart. Don't know what state this is in, but it would be easy to find who owns the property in the public records, likely available online. (You would likely find it is an entity with a nondescriptive name, likely with another entity listed as the manager/general partner. So, it would be easy to confirm that Walmart is only the ground lessee (tenant), but probably harder to identify the humans who were fine with (maybe) doing the deed.) Greed, anonymity, and no shame--brutal combination. (Of course, in a better world, Walmart would have identified the issue and said "hell no" to leasing the property with potential bodies on it, but whoevers job it is to evaluate locations probably doesn't get to veto sites based on morality. And, they get penalized for not seeing projects through to conpletion. So, every incentive is to not look for problems and kill locations for morality concerns.) PS If in fact Walmart is going to put up a memorial to bodies under the parking lot, it is conceivable Walmart was unaware until after they had moved into the building. The developer may have covered it up (Ba-Doom! Swish!). So, could there be some justice and whoever didn't disclose any buried bodies be forced to face justice (economic at least)? Probably not--that's why developers use the corporate entities and don't do business in their personal capacity.

Living in the South now, I have discovered that graves within businesses and strip malls here are pretty common. It seems that southerners have a lot of respect for the dead and rather than digging the bodies up and moving them, they simply built everything around them. I have not yet come across a mausoleum like this though so it's very interesting and unusual. This one does feel creepy like you said. I wonder if there are any records on those buried here, I'd love to know more about them. Although like I said, it's interesting how they do this, I'd much rather go to the large "normal" cemeteries for the peace and quiet. There's just something about walking through a quiet beautiful cemetery that gets to my soul so much deeper than coming across a cemetery in the middle of a parking lot. A mausoleum though just takes the prize. Very cool Scott!!

I live in the USA and a College moved a Cemetery.. and the people weren't told this was going to happen. To add a building to the College. Also another College tore down a church to make room for a new College building.

Without regularly enforced municipal legislation which designates established cemetery property as sanctuary 'hallowed ground'. Particularly in the US and Quebec, occupied grave space is often sold for commercial or traffic thoroughfare usage. There are more than 12 or 13 graves there, you have done a righteous service to the dead is this place. Well done as always Scott.

I'm disgusted that they would build on top of graves. Thanks for paying respects to all those that are dead there. Scott, kind of bizarre they would develop a mall around a grave site

Nothing is on top of graves on the property. The graves were at ground level until the 60’s when the mall was built. The hill was taken out around the family cemetery and the stone walls built to shore up the ground. All the walls are retaining walls. So where the idiot saw air pockets was 20+ feet below ground level. No one was buried that deep. Also Wal Mart does not own the, property the cemetery is on. It is owned by the Crowly family to this day.

Hi Scott where I used to live before lot's of houses were built. There was a really old beautiful church. They decided to knock it down and dig the graves up and burn all the land on which the church and graves were. Just to put a road and supermarket and big carpark to accommodate the new residents. I couldn't believe it so disrespectful not sure if any family were still alive as it was very old. I have moved 40 miles away into the hills and mountains now farmland is being built on. Still beautiful here though. Any idea whats going to happen to those graves very unusual I must say thanks for sharing this interesting story love watching your videos love from Holmfirth West Yorkshire UK 🇬🇧 💙 💚 💛 💜

If Walmart knew about deceased people being buried there, they SHOULD NOT have built a store on that land PERIOD. Thank you Scott for the video im sure it was NOT the easiest video for you to do but THANK YOU for sharing this with us. Much love, appreciation and true respect for you as a person and friend.

Hi Scott, I remember a few years ago, they found the grave of King Richard 3 under a car park in England. So terribly sad for the families of those who have passed away, they should leave the mausoleum standing and show respect for the deceased

A Procter & Gamble plant in Albany, Ga. has a cemetery plot in the middle of their parking lot. When I asked about it, I was told that Georgia is strict about burial places. When developers are interested in using the land for a new development, any graves are worked into the plan and usually stay right where they are.

How do you find this stuff? This is something! In my town, Peterborough Ontario 🇨🇦 loooong after our Cenotaph was built, it was discovered that there were many First Nation People buried there! It was in the news for a long time as the Royal Canadian Legion was half way through adding a Wall Of Honor when it was discovered there were people buried there. But a Walmart?!? That's bizarre indeed! Thanks and praise, Scott! Travel safe!

This is a great example of how we lack death positivity in the west. I agree with this comment board, Walmart AND the city need to clean this up and restore the mausoleum asap, if not for the deceased, for the people coming to shop at their shopping center for God’s sake!! How we treat our dead reflects on the quality of our living as a society! 💔

Scott you can hear a man's voice @ 2:37 making a correction on the family's name but you're going to have to change the playback speed in settings to 0.25 to better hear him say "Fairinhowe." Still listening at 0.25 speed start listening @ 4:56 to hear "Nice to meet you" and @ 4:57 "What are you doing?!" It sounds like a couple of spirits are there.Listen over and over and you should start hearing them. What is heard @ 5:03 is sad, "You can't have it!"
