All of what you said is great just let the people In Anglemont get supplys by boat if need be but preventing food water and emergency supplies to trapped people is a crime
@@drewpers101 I think he understands the situation perfectly well Drew. MAybe you are the one that needs to go and see the RCMP blocking all ingress and egress with spike strips and hostile road blocks. ACtively turning away relief of desperately needed fuel, food and potable water. Telling people they can be escorted out while their homes burn to the ground isnt much of an option for most.
@drewpers101 if you dont want people to have freedoms and choices and rights then why are you living in a free country. These are not privileges and cant be revoked under any circumstance. Even in a firestorm. Especially in a firestorm. If you hate freedom so much why not move to China. Seems more your speed.
The people are trapped because they refused to evacuate when the order came across. Those people need to take responsibility for the position they put themselves in. The firefighters are there to fight the fire, the police and check stops/barricades are in place in highly dangerous zones to protect human life. This is their first priority. Should multiple lives be put in harms way due to irresponsible decisions by a few others? Having said that, I do understand the desire to stay to protect your home. But at what cost? Homes can be rebuilt! An evacuation order means nothing goes in or out except firefighters. Just imagine if everyone ignored evacuation orders. How many lives would be lost then and who would you place the blame on?
The people in Anglemont and St. Ives -- who were never put on order or alert -- are trapped due to the single road in and out (the forestry road not being a realistic option for supplies).
People of anglemont are not on any evacuation order, they were told to hunker down for 72 hours. So you think it is OK for no supplies to get to them? Only one way in to them....if u don't know what you are talking about, best to be quiet.
The people that are in the evacuation order zones are not trapped but are there because there is not enough forestry and fire crews to handle the work they are doing to stop the fire from advancing to more homes. It will be a welcome relief when they get enough trained crews in to handle this work and the locals can leave without letting the fire get out of control again.
