A message to the Godzilla Fandom about the state it's in 

Since I lost my first channel in 2019 it was the best thing that happened to me, I understood that being in fandoms is the worst thing you can do, obviously there are good things but the majority is simply horrible, toxic. That's why I don't get into fandoms and I'm better than ever.

I am part of multiple communities, and I’m extremely disappointed seeing that this thing is happening in all of them. This is disgusting. I am happy you bring this up even is not your usual topic

Compared to others, I do not have a lot of experience in the Godzilla Fandom as whole. At least not in the community. But seeing the strange toxicity and hate speeches slowly appear more and more across the internet really, really hurts. It’s almost like watching a really close friend losing their humanity day by day until you can’t even recognize them. The people spreading that toxicity know what they’re doing, so they should expect other people in the community to call them out on what they’ve done once they find out more and more about the state of the fandom through videos like this.

I have no shame leaving this fandom despite my love for Tokusatsu and Kaiju, I've made a video on this chaos myself also informing my exit from the fandom but I'm glad people are talking about this more. (Update this video has been taken down by me because I honestly don't wanna start more drama)

Jesus christ. While all communities can be toxic, it doesn’t excuse the behaviors in said communities. It’s sad how people can taint what is literally just supposed to be a group of people who are passionate about monster movies.

Honestly, this doesn't shake me as far as watching Godzilla and enjoying Godzilla content. I just eat the meat and throw away the bones as far as the fandom is concerned. I say this because I'm certain there will be people who will hate Godzilla movies simply because of the fandom.

At this rate we might as well become the actual nerds from all those decades back. The kind that just kept to themselves and never in these huge groups. Just keep your hobbies, stay silent, find other people and connect. It's just miserable people spoiling the food for the rest of us, so they can make more miserable people. Already happened with other communities of things that I really adore, but the gut feeling I've always sensed about these communities really was right. It's like watching the last rainforest burn down.

Honestly I've been thinking about making my own video or tiktok on the subject too. Ever since the early days of the internet, I didn't really join any Kaiju groups cause all I saw were toxic and elitist stuff being posted.

Speaking as a long time Godzilla fan, I honestly can’t stand the Godzilla fandom anymore, because of how horrible it’s gotten due to all the toxicity that exists within it. And the fact that some uptight and irrational fans get so worked up over people disagreeing with them is incredibly disappointing.

I’m getting really sick and tired of so many fandoms of series and franchises that I love, be filled to the brim with narcissistic deplorable psychopaths. Not only does it make others not want to get invested in what the particular IP has to offer, but it also makes the genuine good and passionate fans look bad, because non-fans will think they’re just pretending. Seriously man what the hell happened? I remember the Godzilla fandom being cool, chill, and just overall passionate about the character along with everything involved in the series. But nowadays all there is are a bunch of toxic predators who send death threats to people who prefer Minus One over the Monsterverse. It’s stupid, disrespectful, and just down right inhumane. I can only pray that more good fans are made instead of the phony bastards who utilize the IP for the own personal gain.

As a new fan of Godzilla and an old kaiju fan I think we need to get better i recently saw videos about the drama i hate how people do this molesting is not ok! These people are doing pedofiala. I had to shut down my channel down I had FOR SEVERAL YEARS 😐 due to toxic and hate I will return but as of now I’m stepping away, this fandom is not what it used to be.

I really could care less when this is an incident to arise in most fandoms need it be a dispute against an unpopular opinion, retcons, or pragmatic rants about inviting homosexuals to anime conventions. So, what makes the issue(s) from this fandom stand out beside the others is ultimately redundant. Frankly, it's more disgusting how the Godzilla fandom overlooked such an obvious problem but chose to omit said problems. None of you were this responsible to assert this awareness or take accountability for your OWN actions. So, it drove someone like Kaiju Kim to abandon a fandom they enjoyed. I can be disenfranchised about it because there are other pressing matters to address elsewhere. But you guys... really took your time here. About a decade at least.
