Yup! You heard that right NO LICENSE NEEDED! Despite their diminutive size, microcars have quite the cult following, and frankly, it isn't surprising as these mini-machines often come with features you can hardly see, even in modern cars. Today we're checking out “The Best Microcars to buy in 2023!.” Each one of them is unique in their own way, so make sure to stick around till the end. Let's roll!
00:00 Intro
00:25 XEV Global Yoyo
Imagine a microcar that is fully 3D printed - that's precisely what the YOYO by XEV offers. This Italian-designed Hong Kong-based marvel is a fusion of technology, aesthetics, and practicality, and boasts three standout qualities.
01:49 City Transformer
The CT-1 is a brand-new electric vehicle that's revolutionizing urban commuting, especially on busy and narrow city streets. Crafted by an Israeli company, this microcar's standout feature is its incredible ability to extend and retract its wheels, transforming its chassis width from approximately 1.4 meters to a mere 1 meter.
03:08 SQUAD Solar EV
We've seen all kinds of microcars today, but this next one is definitely one of the most energy-efficient ones out there, meet the Squad Solar EV.
04:16 Microlino 2.0
Now for something a little more vintage, we've got the Microlino. Product of a Swiss-Italian collab, its design elements are reminiscent of the BMW Isetta. It sets itself apart from the other microcars on this list with a series of clever innovations.
05:28 Silence S04
Barcelona-based electric scooter company Silence has started production of its first four-wheeled EV dubbed S04, which features dual swappable batteries and is intended for city use due to its small size.
06:53 Uniti ONE
First announced in July 2018, the Uniti One is a 2-seater fully electric microcar designed for urban mobility. It belongs to the M1 class of vehicles, meaning it would be subjected to the same crash tests and safety requirements as regular automobiles.
08:16 Tazzari Minimax
Already famous for its Zero lineup, Tazzari unveiled the Minimax at the Eicma trade fair in Milan. Available in two versions, namely the Minimax 45 and the Minimax 80, with their names reflecting their respective top speeds in km/h.

For that price you can buy a real car. I can't believe these nice little electric cars has to be so expensive.

The Uniti ONE is no longer in the game because of funding. It may make it to production at a later date.

Are any of these currently available in the US?

These have ZERO cult following in the UK. I've never seen one on our roads. You only get the licence free gig in France as long as top speed is restricted.

I love most of these cars! Sadly, I doubt any of them will be sold in the USA, ☹. I hate that most of the people in the states have an obsession with bloated SUVs!!😖 There are virtually no new car choices here anymore.

Actually there is one available in the US. It's called the Wink Sprout. You should check it out, it's got solar panels and everything. I'll make sure to make a video on it asap!

These could be the perfect snap on to a drone! OK, so 99 % of cars have 1 person in them.... My concept of the perfect flying car is a "snap on snap off" 1-person lite weight electric cart with a separate top fitting powerful snap on/off drone. When you get close to where you fly into you can snap off the cart and drive to where you need to go. You own the cart but the expensive drone is rented and arrives from the drone port ready to go. Keep the cost low and always have a fully charged snap on drone ready to go. Lots of Drone Ports (Think the new gas station) everywhere storing drones ready to go. On a long trip you just stop at a drone port and switch out the drone for one fully charged. 99% of people could afford this! Keep it simple...... use what we have.... Once perfected this will totally disrupter old fashion expensive cars, clogging up highways and save environment at same time. Let’s snap on a lite cart to a powerful drone (like Volvocopter 18 blade super structure} and make it work for everyone. I AI CONTROLS WITH GPS SHOULD MAKE THIS AN AUTONOMOUS PILOT FROM POINT A TO B...... JUST TELL ALEXIS WHERE YOU WANT TO GO........ Then the whole trillion-dollar highway infrastructure budget can now be used to bulldoze down slums and build quality affordable homes with a drone port on the roof….! WOW….! WE NEED TO THINK SMALL INORDER TO GO BIG! I think this is totally feasible right now for under $20,000 plus monthly rental fees? A lot better than $250,000 which no one can afford like most flying cars )Xping) with no wheel out there now. Please make a micro car that snaps onto a drone for everyone.

Ha, love the imagery! Nothing quite like the roar of the ol' Cummins diesel engine, right? But hey, don't knock microcars until you've tried zipping around tight city streets and snagging those tiny parking spots! 😉🚗

What does being 3D printed have to do with "fuel economy"?
@alinm-mi4np
@alinm-mi4np 9 месяцев назад
Better aerodynamics I guess
@Techwowofficial
@Techwowofficial 9 месяцев назад
That too and because it is much lighter than normal cars, hence offers a much better mileage. Infact If you travel 15,000 kilometers each year and you decide to switch to a XEV Yoyo from a gasoline vehicle, you might save up to 1,500 euros.
@Blackacreonfire
@Blackacreonfire 9 месяцев назад
@@Techwowofficial 1. The use of the term "fuel economy" with respect to an electric vehicle is confusing. Better to say it is more efficient. And if it's more efficient because it's lighter and/or more aerodynamic, say so. 2. It's not reasonable to assume that everybody knows that 3D printing equals lighter and more aerodynamic. In fact, I would wager that it is quite possible to make a vehicle that is heavy and non-aerodynamic using 3D printing.

Yeah, microcars do seem to have a stronger presence in Europe. I for one find it interesting how different regions have their own unique automotive preferences. But hey, who knows, maybe we'll start seeing more of them elsewhere too! 🌍🚗

Horrible price range for a mini. Others are making superior vehicles for half that price.

Why not just drive a bike?
@Techwowofficial
@Techwowofficial 9 месяцев назад
You absolutely can, but there are undeniable advantages to micro cars too. For instance they are definitely much safer, and also offer weather protection. In the end it all comes down to personal preference.
