A Microsoft Perspective: Will AI and LLMs Transform FinOps? 

Microsoft discovered that FinOps is the key to cloud success after a lift and shift approach left savings on the table. They now investigate how AI and LLMs have the potential to transform an organization’s approach to migration and modernization, and towards a cost-aware architecture.
Microsoft is investing in FinOps along four pillars:
* Analysis: billing & invoicing capabilities
* Insights: cost management capabilities
* Optimization: smart recommendations
* What-if simulations: forecasting, and using natural language to ask questions
