Something i noticed is that some people somehow ignore that this Baltany homages the Explorers, not post-1989 modern references with applied indexes (some of which are bizarrely not lumed). Printed, non-white and non-glossy dials (although some references had them) are normal things for a vintage Explorer.
To watch companies and other watch reviewers: I am very hesitant to buy a watch if this guy has not reviewed it. Too few people show what the watch looks like on the wrist, on different straps, how reflective the crystal is, a proper lume comparison, and enough of the watch.
I have the black version. The vintage Explorer is well done, dimensions are perfect and the feeling of quality is there. Three things i would change are a thinner bezel, a less darker tone of khaki in the dial (i hate the term "faux patina" - no one is deceiving anyone) and a fourth hole on the clasp, as long as the closed length isn't increased. Overall Baltany is doing homages in the true sense of the word, and i will definitely get more of them.
This is hands down the one I would get if I were to get an Explorer Homage. I personally would love to see it without Mercedes Hands. Thanks for the great review!
My favorite 2024 is the Prospex Limited Edition 1965 Recreation European Exclusive in Gradation Island Blue. The dial is stunning and the contrast when on a white strap is to die for. I will get my hands on one from amzwatch
With a 39 mm case and brushed stainless steel case would be a home run but not in a 36 mm with a scratch magnet polished case sides.. Thank you for your great channel.
The wave on the timegrapher comes from the 0,9ms beat error, which is quite high for a new movement. Maybe just needs a bit of regulation. That's definitely too high. A high beat error accelerates wearout to the moving parts.
I bought this popular video watch from MAMACOO , which was originally priced at a few thousand dollars, but now it's only $380! It's really suitable to pick up feces!
The original watches back in the day had a light cream, "off white" colour, not fully white. That was the lume in the 60s. I think the correct upgrade would be to make the beige less dark.
@@Mystery_Man84 all comes down to the design you want. Modern explorer, absolutely, O.K or Cronos, but neither offer the printed dials with domed crystal 🤷
@@mathori-133 the PD isn't even close to the Baltany or Cronos. Those 2 are pretty close in terms of quality, but 2 different version of the explorer. Just decide which one you want, vintage (Baltany) or modern(Cronos) and buy that one. You'll be happy with either.
