I do wish I lived near you because I’d snatch that half finished jumpsuit in a snap! I love jumpsuits! (& I understand you’re done with it, but because I haven’t had the problems- I’m like “yea as I could totally make that work!”) Ps. I LOVE your coat! I’m currently working one out of a vintage 70’s bed spread (picture retro yellow orange brown floral! Kind of obnoxious but I don’t care!)

Woohooo! I loved the recap of your makes! WHen you said you only made the skirt pattern twice but in your head it's a tried & true- I agreed audibly lol, I sew something once and claim it as a TNT! I loves the ruffles around the pocket! That self drafted top is ADORABLE! Love the ties! THE COATTTTT!!! The length, the DRAMA!! that print! The lining- you did that!! I LOVE IT! I'm sorry the Butterick pattern didn't come out the way you thought, but thanks for sharing that it's meant to be a shell, because I didn't realize that either! I gotta see that dress that you popped in at the end with that floral print fabric, so cute!!
Thank you for including both successes and fails garments. If you have plans to do other princess seamed garments, I think you should keep the one you did and use it to make an amazing shell; it would be a wonderful opportunity. As for the boiler suit, you mentioned that the pant part fit okay, how about cutting the blouse part off and doing tweaks you may need to get a good or better fit?😊
Love the skirt !!!! With the ruffle pockets !!! Have you made a wrap dress ? I reakon a dark blue wrap dress would look amazing on u !!! I need to sew a wrap skirt and dress but my sewing machine and i arnt friends currently i need a new machine. So watching your videos are helping me feel better !
Story of my life is I’m on the hunt for the perfect wrap dress. I made one recently - it was a Laura Ashely reproduction from McCall’s. And I love it but I find that I’m not reaching for it so the hunt continues. Good luck on finding a new machine! I hope you and the perfect on cross paths 😊
I love everything that you made. I also had trouble with the same cardigan regarding the neckband not laying flat. Also, it was enormous. I keep saying that I am going to take it apart and and size the pieces down using a pattern that I like in my stash but I haven’t yet. I made it a year ago and have only worn it two times. Booo. I am also always on a huge denim kick! That skirt is beautiful! I would definitely buy that skirt if I saw it at Madewell. It give total Madewell vibes. Great job!❤

Hello! I just found your channel and I love it. Can't wait to watch more. Just one question for now (I'm sure you will explain at some point), but what do you mean by "self-drafted"? Great channel, I feel like I will learn so much from you.
Your first low low is good for donation or you can evaluate where and how it does not fit you. You probably have the same body curves that I have and need to learn that the butt section of all patterns needs a FBA (full butt adjustment) because most sewing patterns are made for less curvy bodies without a butt. I also have to adjust for my hips, which are different than a butt (booty). Additionally, shiny fabrics may not be ideal for you. I have kinky/curly hair and freckles. When my color consultant talked about my best colors, I learned that mat fabrics are best for my busy mat complexion. I did not believe it at first but now believe it to be true, plus the shiny fabrics show every flaw both in my sewing and in my lack of smoothness in my stomach.
Almost exclusively Etsy. Sometimes the designer will only sell through their website in which case that's what I'll use. But I usually find out about the pattern release or new to me patterns on Instagram. Sarah @knottygnome does a Instagram story just about every week of new pattern releases 😊
