It seems you have an issue with the way I say the word. That's all you took away from watching this video? It's so sad to see when people just take time to write comments like this one... I just don't get it. You take your time of day to insult someone for talking differently than you would?
You’re theater looks pretty awesome. The only big recommendation I will make is to put more distance between the rear surrounds so that both speakers are on either side of your head
One of the most professional looking Home Cinema's I've seen on RU-vid. Your surround speaker layout (side & rear) are proper. Often times folks get the side & rear speaker height & spread wrong. You even got speakers 6 & 7 properly positioned. That's crucial for the Ha'as precedence effect in surround sound as commercial cinemas do it. Congrats!
Hey thanks so much for your positive feedback Mykal !! Nice to see a home theater enthusiast appreciate all the hard work and effort that went in to planify, build and setup this dedicated room. :) It was a lifelong dream for me to build my own home theater one day. As we were planning the construction of our new house, I knew I had to make this dream happen. So I hired a competent team of home theater professionals to do the pre-wiring, custom acoustic panels, and installation of speakers, screen and projector. I personally selected all the components that went into this build. I had done a lot of research to make sure I got the most bang for my buck. Of course, this doesn't come cheap, it cost an insane amount of money, but the results are breathtaking, even more so in person, as a video doesn't do it true justice, as I'm sure you can imagine! Once the install was done, I had pro calibrators Lion AV Consultants come over and calibrate my JVC projector to perfection (those guys are known all over the US and Canada and appeared in magazines in the likes of Sound And Vision, and are THX calibrators and instructors). The result is reference quality picture. I will be looking into upgrading to 4K (projector, receiver, ultra hd blu-ray player, etc) once JVC comes up with a true 4K solution at a decent price (I had paid 8000$ CAD for my current projector)... Thanks so much for watching and hopefully you've subscribed to my channel, as I have lots more content coming! ;)
Yep, I subscribed. Your hard work paid off. While your budget is way outta' my league, I did like your approach of calibrating the system. Even the cheapest Home theater will sound & look it's best when calibrated to it's maximum potential. That's my motto "Calibrate Calibrate Calibrate" LMWABO. Keep the videos coming. ~ peace
Absolutely!! It's viewers like you that confirm I must be doing something right with my videos since posting my first one less than 6 months ago. Thanks so much!! And yup, the videos will keep coming. :)
We had one but never used it haha. But I’m a 2 channel audio guy ( phile) Focal floorstander s / Sunfire Sub and Pioneer SX1250 ( love vintage) with Thorens TD166 Turntable. Conrad Johnson Parasound and LSA Bookshelves in another room with Sunfire Sub. Pioneer SX 750 with Boston Acoustics bookshelves in bedroom. Your Theater is awesome man👍
@@PanTheOrganizer Nice set up pan man......I did this way back in the early 2000's, and I'll never forget the first time my dad (RIP) visited the ole WW2 guy was like damn, its about to rain like hell and there isn't a cloud in the sky. My kids were in the Theater room, I just laughed !!
I have a question, can a house hold that much electricity without the switch blowing? This video is very motivating, I really like how you posted the links and also cheaper links for those who might want to do it within a budget like ME lol. Thank you.
Hi Edgar! Thank you so much for your kind words. Much appreciated!! My house was purchased new in 2012 and yes all modern houses can usually accommodate such setups with no issues. I went overboard and made sure to install the subwoofer on a separate breaker, the receiver on a separate breaker, etc. How did you discover my channel?
You are very welcome Nice, I will be doing this next year and I just want to educate my self, and I say next year because my spouse and I are buying a house, also making sure we get a nice basement to do this, so thank you for all the great information.... found your channel by searching Home Movie Theater and your video seem very interesting. I subscribed :D
Awesome! Nice to have you onboard the Pan TheOrganizer family Edgar! Good luck with your project, sounds cool! If you have more questions in the future, you know where to find me, I'll be glad to help!
Having a dedicated room for home threater is my dream. Due to space constraint, I have my hifi and home threater at the same location - the lounge. But I have many restraint. First my setup is on an open lounge and I have no control of the ambient night. I can only get darker viewing in the evening. Watching using projector is simply not very good for me during day time. I really envy you having a dedicated space for the home threater purpose.
That's so cool !! Tell your friend I say thank you and hi at the same time!! Hope you've subscribed to my channel and watched all my other videos. Nice to have you onboard!
British all the way. Meridian Audio in the front and Kef in the rear with M&K sub. TV is a LED Samsung 55". I plan on installing a projector for movies soon. :)
Nice setup Steve! If you like British equipment, watch my two next videos: KEF LS50W speakers review: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sjdP8XYiDSY.html And my Hi-Fi stereo setup video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J3YiaYC7s4k.html
Pan TheOrganizer Pan, I have a Pioneer VSX1131 with a 5.1 setup. There are a lot of formats to listen from. Not sure which one to choose. What's the best listening mode to watch a movie?
That is one awesome setup you have there! I just have a 55inch 4K OLED with PS4 pro and for soround I’m using my 9 year old Logitech Z5500 system because I’m having some problems with setting up my new soundbar, i think the darn thing is broken. It’s keep making such a high pitch squealing noises. :(
+PHILLIP HURLEY Yeah it's breathtaking on that 100 inch screen! It was a lifelong dream to have a movie theater in my house and so when we bought our new house we worked with the builder and a team of audio/video experts to make this custom theater project come to life. I also upgraded the TV you saw at the beginn ng of this video to a brand new LG 4K OLED (I did a video review of this on my channel).
Pan TheOrganizer don't think you spoke to any audio experts if you did they would of told you to put more then them 1cm thick pieces of fibre glass on the wall
Hey Pan, beautiful home theatre! it seems we share some common interests - I'm a car guy that does like to do some detailing (although I'm more of a driver than a detailing fanatic), and I'm into movies, home theatre, and music as well. It seems we've chosen many of the same car care and HT products as our "go-to" itemsl! My home theatre is a little older than yours - I also have a professionally-calibrated JVC projector (although an older RS2), a 120" Grandview motorized screen with a 60" LG plasma behind it for casual viewing, Energy RC-70 mains, RC-LCR centre and RC-R surround speakers and 2 big PSB Subsonic 6i subwoofers for a 6.2 setup, and a Marantz SR7007 AVR. I use a Logitech Harmony One for control, and an APC S15 power conditioner/UPS to run all of the electronics except for the subwoofers, which are on a different circuit. My room serves as a general "man cave" used for music listening, socializing and working out, so it's painted medium beige, and I don't have any acoustic treatments (although I'd love to DIY some I just haven't gotten around to it). I know I could improve the PQ with some different colours, but I was willing to sacrifice that for a more pleasant multi-purpose space. I few years ago invested in some Palliser HT seating, with power recline and Buttkicker tactile transducers. I have young kids, so it's quite rare that I get to "open up" my system. I've found the Buttkickers to be a great addition, as they allow me to "feel" the movie even at lower volumes. You can add these to your LaZ Boy loveseat, they really improve the experience.
Really digging your setup here. I am finishing my basement currently with plans for a home cinema as well. Have been looking for examples of what I want my ceiling to look like and yours is exactly what my plan is. I will be forced to have a low part of the ceiling on the left side of the room; and being a stickler, I will want the room to be symmetrical, so the right side will have to be made the same way to please me aesthetically. I am very lucky to be able to do it from scratch. My only downside is the ceiling height in both the low parts and the high parts of the ceiling. I think i'm around 6'8" at the low part and 7'5" at the highest point. Room dimensions are 14'6" by 21'6". I do plan on acoustically treating the room as well. Any pointers or tips you can give me in my build process?
Hi Andrew! Thanks for your comment. My room is also roughly 21 feet deep by 15 feet wide. I have 9 feet ceilings to accommodate the 100 inch screen better. Also, I had ductwork running through the left side of the ceiling, so I had to mirror the same box on the right side because like you, I wanted a symmetrical room. :) The most important part of any dedicated home theater is sound insulation. That's where you want to invest a good portion of your budget. I had two layers of Sonopan drywall put up on ceiling and walls. My floor is concrete. Make sure you have carpeting in your room, to better absord reflections. I also had custom made fiber glass acoustics panels made as you can see, to help with the primary and secondary reflections of the sound coming out of the speakers and bouncing off the walls and then hitting your ears. I had done lots of research on that. Then, I had the walls and ceiling coated in matte black paint to diminish all possible light reflections, because your most important consideration for a projection setup is to control the light. You probably noticed I have no windows in that room. The intention was to create a perfect pitch black room to enjoy the movies. :) Good luck with your project! How did you discover my channel?
very cool setup bro? I myself am using a home theater style setup as well. I mostly am using an acoustic audio surround sound with mini subwoofer that is made for pc's but is said you can use it for tv as well. I am also using a quest stereo receiver am/fm which you can't get anymore. The equipment i am using is all analog digital but works really good for thud noises and also works well for some off the effects if I am using DTS or any of the digital platforms with my player. So I like what I have since i am still living with my parents and I know it is hard to play loud late at night when they need there sleep. So I try to start my movies either in the daytime or more of a convenient time so i can still get my home theater mini setup of sound. So I would value this equipment maybe under 400 or 500 dollars at most. I know it goes pretty good with some of my other players that i use too. My tv is plugged into this setup and is not bad too but only if you crank up the level. I had this up to say level 3 or 4 and still sounded pretty good. So with this is mind i can post this sometime but hopefully if it has good sound will see none the less. Thanks again for your awesome setup. Btw I have copies myself of some of your movies that you like too. What would you recommend is the best for thud noises or noises that go across the speakers?
+Barry BajanEntrepeneur Thanks Barry!! I appreciate your feedback. If you believe in it, you WILL be able to accomplish your dream as well. I had that project on my vision board ever since I was a teen and I made it happen. Thanks for watching and hopefully you subscribed for more goodies to come. How did you discover my channel?
+Pan TheOrganizer Thanks for the encouragement and I have subscribed. I just happened upon it by accident because I was looking at TV reviews and your channel popped up in my feed.
That's a clean setup man 👍 Unfortunately I don't have a dedicated theater room so I have to compromise what I want to achieve. Back in the day I had a 63" Samsung plasma TV, I sold it for a bigger display. I'm currently running a 80" Sharp LCD TV. Also running the Epson Home Cinema 2040 projector. How I have my setup is I have my motorized 120" projection screen drop down in front of my Sharp TV missing it by 1/2" As for surround sound, I'm currently running a 7.2 system. The brain behind it is a Pioneer Elite SC-05. It was pretty expensive when I bought it new ($2000). As time gone by I ended up buying an THX certified external amplifier, hooked it up to my Pioneer. It's a night and day difference in sound. It plays louder with more clarity. My 7.2 speakers are all Polk Audio. Same models as I want the consistency in sound aka "timbre matching" In the near future I'm thinking of upgrading my display both TV and projector to 4K. As for surround sound, I'll be buying another Pioneer Elite receiver capable of Dolby Atmos, DTS X etc... For now my visual and sound experience hasn't changed. I'm still enjoying every minute of it. I guess that's the reason why I haven't replaced my current setup to the most current tech. Alright man again I did enjoyed your video, keep it up man 👍
Cool! I recently upgraded pretty much my entire setup for 4K. Got an Oppo UDP-203 4K blu-ray player, JVC NX7 high end projector, Marantz SR-8012 top of the line receiver, new GoldenEar Technologies Triton Two+ speakers, SuperCenter XXL center channel, etc. Here’s my new JVC projector that I reviewed: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2oMsGunT_so.html
Nice room and set up. Particularly liked the Sonus Fabers (nice to see audiophile two channel speakers in an HT). My system is Focal Sopra fronts and centre. NAD masters M17 4k pre M25 7 ch power amp, Naim 272 Naim 250DR Naim 555p power supply, Naim CDS3, Sony flag ship blu Ray. JVC DILA projector. Lumley lampros 300 rears, Dynaudio rears, Mac Pro, Sony PS4 pro, VR, Xbox S. LG 65 inch 4k OLED. Rel S5 SHO sub. BK sub, sunfire true EQ.
Hi Justin! Thanks for your comment and wow, you also have an awesome setup from what I'm reading! I fully agree, it's always nice to have audiophile grade speakers in a HT setup. I also love to listen to music, so these do good at both. And wait til you see my upcoming new stereo setup... Stay tuned! Since this video, I also upgraded my living room setup by switching my Panasonic plasma to the new LG B7 4K OLED which I also had calibrated by one of the rare THX calibration instructors (Michael Chan from Lion AV Consultants) and it's stunning. I reviewed my TV in a video that has done as well as my home theater setup: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-B-0cqvwSpxA.html
Pan TheOrganizer I’ll be putting a video up soon. Just waiting to get a couple of things to complete it. What’s your 2 channel system? I’m running two separate amps and sources at present because there’s not an HT receiver or pre pro that can do music. Even if you spend £20k
I can't reveal the setup yet. But it's an entirely separate setup in another room. Stereo speakers, ultra high-end integrated amplifier, high-end cables, network player and DAC, etc. :)
What size is your room exactly? I have a 15'8"x11'3, and afraid those SVS are tto big for my room, of course I would eventually want dual, but I like the simplicity of your room. 👍🏼
Very cool setup. I recently finished redoing my home theater. Upgraded from 103" to a 150' Acoustic Transparent screen. I have a complete video tour on my channel.
Thanks Pan. I actually have two LED stips. one goes around the outside of the screen. The other is actually behind the screen to "Reveal" the speakers that are behind the Acoustic Transparent screen.
It shows that you worked hard at your project! Must be awesome to watch movies on a 150' screen! How far back are you sitting? I'm at approximately 9 feet from my 100 inch screen so viewing angle is awesome!
I'm also 9' from my 2.35:1 screen. I was concerned I might be going too big but it's perfect! No eye strain, no tennis match effect. Fully and completely immersive.
Hey buddy, Nice setup you've got- but what I don't understand is why you list the Onkyo TX-NR3030 on your purchased list when it's clearly not the one you got!? Yours is an older model. I've got the TX-NR3030 - a behemoth receiver - in my Atmos-setup so I know how it looks like. But you gotta love watching movies on a projector, right? I went with Sony though, their VPL-series, because they sure are the ones who wins most of the tests these days and with a 135" screen - a bit silly when I live next door to an IMAX! Haha. But... you gotta have your own cinema, am I right?
Hi Darkray84. I have the TX-NR3008 but as you stated it isn't available that is why I listed a newer version because sometimes people want to purchase a receiver and if I list one that isn't available then I'd be getting messages of people telling me it's discontinued... As simple as that... It's the same series and price bracket as mine. And yup, my setup looks amazing!! It was professionally calibrated by a THX certified instructor from LION A/V Consultants (some of the best calibrators in the business) and is reference material. Great choice on the Sony VPL. For me, those ones and the JVC D-ILA series are some of the best projectors in their price points. I picked my JVC RS55 (again, it was a 2012 model so I referenced the newer equivalent in the links) because it had pretty much won all the reviews in the 6000-8000$ CAD price range. Awesome black levels, great contrast, nice picture definition... Haven't had an issue with it in 5 years. Ok I have questions for you now... What's the rest of your equipment? What country are you from? And how did you discover my channel? Thanks for watching!!
Thanks!! I’m currently working on a complete makeover of my home theater with the latest in tech so stay tuned for an update video! How did you discover my channel by the way?
+Davek2sb Hi Davek! Thanks for watching! I suggest you go watch my video on my Ultimate Desk Setup Tour, all your questions will be answered in my awesome video. ;) How did you discover my channel?
I love the setup. I getting ideas of what I want to put in my theater. I'm building and starting from ground up. I have an infinity center channel with Velodyne acoustics sub. Looking to go 7.1 with an Onkyo Processor. What's your thoughts. I'd like my theater to sound as close to AMC as possible.
+kyron williams Thanks for your comment and I hope your dream theater comes true! It's such a nice feeling to watch a movie that way! How did you discover my channel?
Thanks Phil! The room is roughly 15 feet wide, 21 feet deep, with 9 feet ceilings. I'm working on a complete overhaul and upgrade. New speakers, new 4K projector, new receiver, new 4K Blu-Ray player. :) How did you discover my channel?
I'm getting my own house soon and I will have a theatre room I can't wait to set it up with my 4 gaming consoles and big screen I will have to get some big speakers for it
Thanks!! I really put a lot of planning into creating my dream theater. When we were building our new house, my contractor was great for custom work, so I was able to hire a pro home theater installation team to work with him to create my dream room (for my 50K CAD budget). I enjoy every minute of it !!
One of the cleanest looking HT setups I've seen.I use a 55" Samsung 6000 series LED. Pioneer Elite SC-87 receiver. Sony PS3 for the Blu Rays. Adcom GDV-850 DVD player for listening to CD's. Mackie M-1400i DJ subwoofer amp..Energy RC-70 towers. Nuance Star series center and rears. Mission audio bookshelf mids. Dual Audiomobile Evo-r 12" in a custom HT enclosure.
Thanks I appreciate it! If you liked this video, next you should watch my new Hi-Fi stereo setup tour here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J3YiaYC7s4k.html
Can you make another video how you got them hook up and sound test , im temporary at a apt. Cant do full surround sound thether yet but i have a 47 Samsung led with temporary computer speakers waiting on the upgrade soon for miccas and power amp smls pre amp for volume remote power thats just a start lol 😂 great video
Merci Laurent! C'était un projet de rêve que j'ai réalisé. Depuis ma jeunesse je rêvais d'avoir une salle cinéma dans ma maison. J'ai donc travaillé fort dans ma vie pour pouvoir atteindre ce but. :)
Thanks Joao!! I really worked hard to make things as nice as I could and it turned out pretty cool. Even the camera doesn't quite do it justice. In person, it is even nicer. Thanks for watching!!

Pan TheOrganizer Great work! Your doing things anyone would like to experience ;D
Hi Bill. Thanks for your comment! Yes that SVS sub is amazing. To answer your question, it would be too cumbersome and complicated to upgrade to Atmos. My setup sounds great as it is, I have no will to change the audio side of things. But I'm looking into upgrading to a true 4K projector and new receiver soon. How did you discover my channel?
Pan TheOrganizer I look at a lot of home theater stuff on RU-vid and your video came up on related stuff. But yea the 4K projector definitely would be nice. that's what my goal is to get a projector screen and upgrade a few of my speakers. I currently have a 5.2.2 set up. I am saving for a bigger receiver, my back surround and in ceiling are Bowers and Wilkins and my center channel is a Klipsch and front right and left are in wall VM Audio. I'd like to get all matching speakers. Preferably All Ultra SVS or Bowers and Wilkins.
Nice set up. I just picked up one of these www.sonypremiumhome.com/projectors/VPL-VW675ES.php and will be building something similar to yours around it.
Thanks. I came across your channel after I bought a new house a few months ago and started looking for ideas on how to lay out my garage so I can wash and detail my vehicles through all four seasons.
Congrats on 100K! I just added a Sony ZA5000ES for 7.2.4 Audio. And I'm really hoping to do all in wall speakers, did you look at any of those you like while you were auditioning speakers?
Hi Pam, I envy you :). Nice neat and clean setup. Mine is very simple, all are low-end models of known brands. How I wish I can afford the high-end/models. 43' Samsung Smart TV, Sony AV Receiver, Assorted speakers for front-A: BOSE, font-B: Pioneer, Center: Pioneer, Rear Right and left: Pioneer, Sub-woofer: Logitech. I spent around $2,300.00. With a simple setup, I'm happy with the end result. Keep posting nice videos.
I have a projector in my bedroom. Made my own flexible screen. Size is between 140-153 inches (I switch it every now and then. I'll never go back to a television.
Hi solidn6! First of all, thank you for watching and hopefully you've subscribed and watched all my other videos! Always lots more content to come. :) To answer your question, in short, my custom home theater cost an arm and a leg. But well worth the expense in the end. Roughly, the entire setup cost 40 000$ CAD (approximately 30 000$ US). That includes the projector, blu-ray player, 7.1 speaker system, subwoofer, Apple TV, HDMI cables, power strip, audio/video rack, projection screen, motorized seats, speaker wires, speaker wall mounts, matte black paint, paintwork by professional painters, custom acoustic panels, calibration of the projector, planification and installation of the equipment by pro audio/video specialists, cost of the construction of the room which includes double insulated walls and ceiling (with Sonopan) and full wooden door with seal all around it, and so on and so forth. I hope this answers your question. By the way, how did you discover my videos?
Thank you for the reply. I discovered your video just randomly searching "Home theater" as I'm looking to turn my basement into a man cave. But I probably won't be spending anywhere near as much as your budget. lol
Pan TheOrganizer, I was just watching videos about my favorite speaker brand, Klispsch speakers, then I bumped into your video after typing, "home theater."
Pan TheOrganizer I have owned my first Klispsch KM series home theater center channel since 1996, subwoofer since 1997 and my KM series front speaker since 1999. I think I am ready for a larger sub woofer to at least a 15" Klispsch.
so. I liked, subsricbed and said at some point "nice work... that is baller." But I also thought WTF why is his HOME ROUTER wedged in between his heavy, solid metal (not friendly to wifi) imac AND 2 solid sources of interference?( IE your studio mointors?) Maybe re think that. seperate the router from walls and EM interference and your pipe for all those movies and games instantly gets drastically improved. I bet. even though it might not matter for apple TV (heavily compressed) movie content, it might just make you smile when you are trying to stream 4k to your nvidia shield, or if you want to stream your stream games from PC to mac over your home network. I bet if you check your network's bandwidth in both situations the latter would be show a wider pipe.
Hi Fly Utah! Thanks for the comment. You make a point for the router placement. However, I don't know where else to place it in my office. But as far as performance goes, it is of no worry to me, as I have fiber internet. I pay for 150 MB/s but I actually get 350 !! Regardless of where I am in my house, thanks to Ubiquiti's awesome AmpliFi HD mesh system. How did you discover my channel?
Forget to add this. I watch most shows on my tv , but I have a similar setup. My system consists of the following. JVC RF25 projector, bought this around 2008 I believe. Hoping to upgrade but waiting for true 4K to be more affordable. StewartScreen 122" diagonal CinemaScope fireHawk screen, Oppo 105 blu-Ray player , Marantz AV7702a preamp processor, and ATI amps. All controlled by a Control4 system. Including lights. Also, a Panamorph UH-480 lens system for the CinemaScope. Thanks,
+Vitamin- P Awesome setup dude!! I can tell you like quality equipment like I do! I also am waiting for JVC to release a true 4K projector in the 6-8000$ range. I will also be looking into changing my beloved Panasonic VT series plasma for an LG 4K OLED when the prices drop a bit. My eyes are set on an E6 or G6 model... Thanks for watching! :)
Hi Mike! Thanks for the comment, it's much appreciated! To answer your question, the white speakers in my studio are the Yamaha HS7 professional studio monitors. They're hooked up to my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Audio interface (I also have the Yamaha HS8W subwoofer with it). My desk setup was featured on TechSource's Setup Wars RU-vidr edition. Here's the full video of my setup: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yji4dZdBuU0.html Question for you: how did you discover my channel?
Thank you so much for the quick reply and link. I'm gonna have to read up on those Yamaha HS7's they look beautiful but how do you like the sound? I'm running a 5.1 setup right now with Marantz pre-amp and Nad power amp and five identical bookshelfs (ribbon tweeters). I was looking at another home theater video on youtube and i just stumbled onto yours. Thanks again!!!
The Yamaha HS7s sound amazing, but they are meant for professional use. They have a neutral tone to them as they are meant for audio production. I use them when I edit my videos, so I can make sure I get accurate sound representation. They are by no means meant for home theater use. They are studio monitors. Thanks for watching!
Wow a 4 year old video! Have you made any upgrades at all recently in the last 4 years? Its 2020 now. Right now, I live in a 3 floor house with my parents and my dad decided he wants to move to a 1 floor house plus a basement sometimes in the next few years. So the reason I am researching home cinemas is because my parents spent a lot of time watching tv shows and movies so I want my parents and us as a family to have a better watching experience. Everyone one else on RU-vid featuring their home cinemas are either outrages or crazy expensive! This looks just simple and straight forward, probably the right size room for the basement. Nothing too fancy and too much decor can become a distraction and whatnot. Thank you for this tour! It helped me give an idea for our future home cinema!
Oh yes I did change pretty much the entire setup and also moved to a brand new home. Here’s my latest home theater tour: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-diE150FyWAM.html And even after that, I added a dual sub setup here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-E92jsGNNYqc.html
That’s pretty cool. I wish I could build a home theater. I have a 100” screen and a few projectors that go up to 200” and a few speakers to make it sound better. So I guess I have everything I need, I just don’t have a room big enough for it. I want a bigger screen but for what I have, it’s nice. If I ever come into some money, I’m adding an addition onto my house so I can build a nice home theater.
Thanks for watching! If you found this cool, check out my brand new custom home theater in my new house. It's next level. 4K, Dolby Atmos, bigger screen, more crazy! Here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-diE150FyWAM.html
You Use Matt Black. You should have done It In Dark Purple as this Is the Colour used In Cinemas. And I have done My room out In this and It has No Light Reflection at all. I have a 100ft pull down Screen as I use a Phillips Cinema 21:9 58" (Looks Twice that Size when on) TV to watch Ultra Wide Films without Black Bars. I will be getting a Projector and screen In that Ratio very soon. I could Not go back to 16:9. Nice set up keep adding though. I see room for Dolby Atmos like I have Plus 4k or better still 8k. Have Fun.
Ego's are ferocious eaters. Remember, even in fighting, there is always someone that can kick your ass. Love and enjoy your beautiful stuff. Most of us can't afford it.
Because the PB13 Ultra is that good. It’s great. I’ve since upgraded my speakers to Golden Ear Technologies Triton Two+ towers and SuperCenter XXL center. :)
I can't wait to see the new LG high end OLEDs (G6 and E6) in person, as I think they'll be the first sets better than Kuros and Panasonic VT-ZT series...
Btw. JVC has finally announced their true 4K projector at CEDIA. Unfortunately, it is $35,000. Looks like we'll have to wait a while to upgrade to a 4K projector.☹️
+2cool0 I have the new 4th gen Apple TV with my plasma TV as you saw in the video. I use the older 3rd gen Apple TV in my home theater room as I use the Apple TV less there. How did you discover my channel?
ohh ok but isn't it good to have things like plex (if you use it) in your home theater? or even netflix? I saw this video when i searched up home theaters or dolby atmos home theater or something. I think i just searched up the dolby atmos home theater one.
LG OLED55B6P TV, Klipsch RF 7 left and right speakers, Polk audio CS10 center channel, Klipsch -115SW Sub, Klipsch r-15m surrounds, and Yamaha rx-v381 receiver. I probably need more power for my rf-7 speakers but 4k and hdr blu rays look amazing!
+Cameron Borri Thanks for your comment Cameron! That LG B6 series OLED must be insane!!! I am looking to replace my Panasonic 65 inch VT series plasma (one of the best plasmas ever produced along with the Pioneer Elite Kuros) with an LG E6 or G6 4K OLED in 2017 (or which ever model will replace those at CES in January). LG has taken the crown of the best TVs with their OLED lineup!! Do you love your set?
My dream is to have a setup like this but for now I'm working with a 50' Vizio P series 4K TV with HDR 10 and Dolby Vision and an older home theater in a box 5.1 surround system. It's nice for a living room setup.
Hi Daniel. Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it! You have a nice little setup. Keep working on your dreams, I hope they come true. I dreamed of my theater setup for years, worked really hard to save up to be able to plan and afford it, and today I enjoy every single moment. It's like I'm on another planet when I'm in that room. How did you discover my channel?
Pan TheOrganizer I helped a friend set up his new TV and surround sound system last week and it got me thinking about an Dolby Atmos upgrade. I started looking up videos on it and yours was one that was suggested for me.
I just found same projector online for$3500. at office wonderland, I own a Sony 45es, Love it... but now I'm doing research on this JVC! thanks for your vid.. and I'm setting up my bass shaker system this weekend, it's a system that shakes your couch when there's a boom in the movie your watching, I have 103 inch screen!
I’m kind of surprised you didn’t have an OLED TV instead of the plasma. I went from plasma to the c7 LG 65" OLED and when I started using it I felt like I’d never actually watched a movie outside of the theaters in my life. It was probably the best 3 grand I’ve ever spent in my life lol Edit: I’ve never messed around with a projector but I know I’ll someday go for it because they are the best of the best according to one of my buddies. Nice setup, I’m really jealous that your’s is finished and mine is still a work in progress.
I did get a 65 inch LG B7 4K OLED two years ago actually. Here’s my video review of it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-B-0cqvwSpxA.html
Have an Acer H5380bd 720p on a 115" homemade blackout cloth screen, rockin' a 5.2.2 Yamaha through Sony speakers from a PS4 and it does the job 4 us! Yours looks nice, too.
Hi man, nice theater! I looked up your projector. Did you drop 35k on it?! I am looking to start a small movie theater in my hometown and I need to get a solid projector. but 35k is way out of my price zone. Any suggestions for the 2-5 k range? Thanks
+Timo M Hi Timo! Thanks for your comment! Mine cost 8000$ CAD plus tax (roughly 6000$ USD). In the 2-5k range, you're in the bang for buck sweetspot! I would recommend a JVC D-ILA series projector 4-5k or an Epson too in the same price range. You can't go wrong. How did you discover my video? I hope you checked out my other videos too! ;)
I did better than that. I got a brand new home, updated my entire setup and even got two new SVS PB16 Ultra subwoofers. Check it out in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-E92jsGNNYqc.html
Nice setup. Are those walls really Matt black? They do not look black more like a dark gray. Those Lazyboy recliners are discounted when I followed the link. What are your room dimensions?
I had to crank up the ISO settings on the camera to let more light in for the video, so the colors aren't really like that in real life. Yes the walls are matte black (no gloss) and I selected the darkest black possible. My room is roughly 15 feet wide by 21 feet deep with 9 feet ceilings.
The easy and cheap way to a home theater with the LG PF1000U, you can find this projectors for less than $1000 and they come with TV tuner build in so it would not be just for movies but for live sport, tv etc. I have one and is the bomb
I just build a movie theater in my room but i think i messed up on the speakers instead of getting some good theater speakers for my fromt stage i found some speakers from the lg cm9550 (look them up) and there missing out alot of midrange sound im using a sony 7.2 reciever the 770 model and a yamaha reciever too power the 2 12s that came with the 9550 and the bass and highs seem good im just missing alot of midrangea and im using onkyo speakers for sourround and center
nice job bud👍 I have a Jvc DILA projector and have found that they much prefer to be sat on a suspended shelf rather than hung upside down. in my opinion it makes them work harder and get hotter as hot air rises and stays inside to long. I think it can cause unessesary wear to the projector and lamp. I also found that even though these babies are whisper quite, they are even moreso when sat the right way up. I am no expert, but I do have a nice viewing room and have tried many different setups. thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for the comment brentium3! I appreciate it. Happy New Year by the way! I have had no issues with my projector, as it is in a wide open area so lots of space do dissipate heat. It is indeed whisper quiet especially in low lamp mode. It's been a joy to use since I've had mine. I will be looking to upgrade all my setup to 4K once JVC releases a true 4K projector in the 6000$ US range. Did you check out the other videos on my channel?
I also started out with polk like you. Was the A10. I did not put money into chairs like you. All went into wire & 2 only speakers full range no crossover distoration Subwoofer enjoy
why don't you go for a bigger screen (ie. 120 and up). nowadays TVs are approaching 90 inches so 100 inch projector screen is not a whole lot bigger than a big TV
I only sit like 10 feet away from the screen so 100 inches is by no means a small screen. Also, my custom home theater was built in 2012, so at the time, 65 inches was pretty much the biggest TVs. As with everything in that world, tings evolve. I recently did a full 4K upgrade for my equipment and speakers, so maybe I'll move to a 135 in screen in my next home we're planning to build. Here's my new equipment: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2oMsGunT_so.html
Pan TheOrganizer I was looking for audio / video inspiration and your channel came up among many others. You caught my eye because it looks really nice.
Pan TheOrganizer well..i have been working in my set up..so..i saw a few videos and today..your was on top when i log to youtube..it was a must watch..set up looks incredible..im glad that your dream is already done...good work
Hey mate what are the dimensions of your room please? I’m about to make/design my man room/cinema room for sports and I love the look of yours there 👍🏼
I highly highly recommend getting the new apple tv 4th gen. The apps alone are worth it, but also being able to use my bluetoothheadphones with them are a definite plus
Hi Ghost227! In deed, I have the 4th gen Apple TV on my TV setup (featured first in that video). The 3rd gen is for the home theater as I use it lest often... Love the 4th Gen. Actually, I love all Apple products. I'm addicted. LOL Thanks for watching buddy! By the way, how'd you discover my channel?
I lost track at one point as this was a project done a few years ago now... Especially that I have now moved into a brand new home with an even higher end custom home theater. Watch my video about it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-diE150FyWAM.html
Front speakers should have the tweeters in line (horizontal) with the center of the screen or your eyes and ears will perceive different hightes in audio and picture.
projectors are not for me, picture quality and black levels are better on oled. but nice setup. although it appears to be a small room for so much power
+aundra lambert Hi Aundra. I also have one of the best OLEDs currently available from LG that I reviewed here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-B-0cqvwSpxA.html Yes OLEDs have better overall picture quality, but my JVC projector is great and sometimes, nothing beats that 100 inch screen. It feels like an event when I watch movies in my home theater...
Hello Pan TheOrganizer! That is a really nice home theater setup you have there. I have a cheapie projector at the moment using an LED lamp and its only 2300 lumens. Dont have the cash to buy a desent one... yet. So in a dark room its fine, but if there is a little too much light, like even during the day, I sometimes struggle to see. So my question is, is there any way that you can improve the lumens on an LED projector to make it brighter ? Maybe swop the current LED light inside for a brigher one ? Anyway love your vids, keep up the good work.
Thanks for the comment Stephan! Unfortunately, I don't know of a way to improve the light output of your current projector. How did you discover my channel?
Very nice room! and equipment to nice screen! speakers, sub, blu ray player and projector choices too awesome that you put the acoustic panels on the wall you going to upgrade that room to a 7.2.4 setup? for Atmos and dts-x? if i was you I would take the equipment and put it in an equipment rack built in to the wall or adjacent room
+C815richard Thanks for the comments C815richard! I appreciate it. To answer your question, no I won't be upgrading to a 7.2.4 setup as I don't see the plus value plus I've invested way too much already into this setup. My next upgrades will be 4K projector, 4K Oppo player and Onkyo receiver. How did you discover my video?
Pan TheOrganizer very cool I just ordered the Oppo UDP-203 sadly it wont arrive until mid January. one more question that computer desk of your is that top part from IKEA? I think your video popped up in my suggested area I love home theater and hi-fi videos !
+C815richard Yes it's an Ikea countertop on Ikea Alex drawer units. I feature my desk and explain it all in my epic desk setup tour video on my channel if you want to check it out. My setup was even featured on TechSource Setup Wars RU-vidr Edition episode 14! It's a 1.1million subscribers tech channel that features people's cool desk setups! :)
Nice setup & good choice on the screen. I watch my movies on a 122” Cinema scope FireHawk StewartScreen . Had a JVC PJ, but just recently bought a Sony 4K to replace it.
Pan TheOrganizer - My apologies for the late reply. Did not get a notification of your response. Anyway. I had SpeakerCraft in Walls, but recently upgraded to all Klipsch reference premier in-ceilings and towers for Atmos. Was not getting the sound I wanted with the in-walls. Subwoofer is JL Audio F110. Had 113 but got rid of it because of size. Also was a bit too much for my small room. I’m doing a Re-screen for Studio Tek130 to replace FireHawk material.
I literally just threw that logitech remote in the trash a few days ago because it doesn't work with PS3, PS4, Xbox One, and the battery keep dying all the time, it was a constant pain to pick it up and it would be stone dead.
Thanks! I since replaced my VT65 with a new 65 inch LG 4K OLED tv for which I did a review here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-B-0cqvwSpxA.html
