I guess the nobodies can also talk, like the two times when they refer to Roxas as their liege, even though we don't hear their voices.

Give… Us… Lux… -Darkling

The Darklings once targeted Ventus, but Ven got rid of them using his pure light abilities. However, Ventus houses Darkness in his own heart to keep it trapped and at bay. Should this Darkness ever escape Ven, wouldn't that allow for Darklings to return? Since Darklings are fallen Keyblade wielders, there's no indication that they don't still exist. So, would the return of Darkness allow for the Darklings to also return? It's definitely very intriguing.

This style of Heartless are among my favorite, eerily humanoid but still very much a Heartless

There's also the darkling on the KH3 boxart with the Nameless Star. We still don't know the significance of that, if there is any.

I REALLY want to see Darklings in The Lost Master Arc. Their design is cool af and I really want to hear their voice as they speak, along with main characters' reactions to that. Fighting them is also a must. The implications that Aqua could've turned into one would also be enticing to dive into. The fact that one was on the KH3 boxart should hopefully mean Nomura's just getting started with them, and they won't just be trapped to chibi art 🙄. All the same goes for a Nightmare Chirithy future encounter 🤤.

This also justifies Sora's Dark forms throughout the series

I hope Sora meets the Darklings when he visits Wreck-it Ralph's world. It would make sense since they appear as enemies there in Union X.

I saw the darklings when I was watching the kingdom hearts union x cutscenes personally I thought they kinda creepy yeah definitely creepy it definitely took a couple of days for my mind to forget about that

I love how dark Kingdom Hearts gets especially in Comparison to standard Disney or Square IPS it’s always been kind of unique like you really have to think and let some of it sit with you to get how dark a lot of the series is Especially Union X and Dark Road

One Becomes A Darkling Through Zero Lux And No Keyblade In Hand. Remember, Though Anti Aqua Emerged From The Ocean Of Darkness With No Keyblade, The Wayfinder Was The Reason For Retaining Her Form That She Was On The Brink Of A Darkling Transformation Until She Took MIck's Keyblade Halting The Process. The guardian heartless could be a darkling as it spoke in KH3 as terra who lost the battle to darkness also.

The one darkling that you didn't mention, and is likely the most important darkling, is the one on the KH3 box art. I believe that is Yozora. I have a video going over it. But the conclusion is that Yozora is a darkling heartess created from both Sora and Riku when Sora fell to darkness in Dream Drop Distance while Riku was inside Sora's heart. Sora means "sky"; Yozora means "night sky". When a sky falls to darkness it becomes a night sky.

Calm me dumb but why did aquas hair go to white? She fell to the darkness when she sank, but shouldn't she only of got the eyes of darkness (yellow eyes)? How come her hair went white like xehenorts?
