the way this was an integral part of my childhood omg and no one ever talks about it. the record for the most unlikeable characters rlly goes to this one too like only a couple of these people were worth rooting for it was crazy
I remember feeling so grown up and like I was watching something naughty because it was a show about sex. Except that it's literally done in the tamest possible way.
Same I watched it in my late teens and was ASTOUNDED EVERY EPISODE. BTW I'm British and my teen years were probably a lot closer to the show "Skins" than I'd like to admit... I was FASCINATED by this show!! It was truly a "soap" for the kids except they forgot to make it "youth friendly" it was the ABC loop hole show 😂😂😂
I’m currently rewatching this and it’s PAINFUL! All the characters I enjoyed as a teen, now make me want to punch a wall! Ricky is and will always be the only NORMAL AND LIKEABLE character
It's crazy how different Amy looks from the beginning to the end of the show. She really did look 15 in the first episode which is refreshing for a teen show.
@Beautifullymonique I liked him becuz he tries to be a good person. He doesn't manipulate anyone and he genuinely cared about others. I would feel sorry for them if the show continued. A mature version of Ben would fuck these characters royally.

one of the guys doing a random cartwheel in the hall is the most accurate thing written into the show. that and the teens not understanding how marriage work
He was no better in the end if the show. How does being with Amy mean character growth? How does enjoying Ben suffer mean character growth? How does making Ashley leave her family at 16 mean character growth? If getting what u want without learning a lesson about having compassion for others, or taking responsibility for problems you have created, or seeing and trying to fix the damage you have caused is growth I feel sorry for all of you.
Ben was annoying i hated Amy and him together like he got mad because Ricky was taking care of John w her... Admit, prefer Ricky and Amy together, and not because they have a son together but because they helped each other grow I hate that the writers made Amy not get married to Ricky after they said they wanted to get married 100X like the writers were on some bipolar shit....
apparently their was suppose to be another season where Amy ended up with Ricky, but because they ruined the last season so bad got that crap of a last season.

core memory unlocked. despite this show being one of abc family’s most popular shows, it gets overlooked and forgotten too often. ricky is hands down the best character of this entire show and has the best developmental arc. the irony of amy not wanting him to be a part of john’s life in the beginning when realistically, he was the better parent throughout the show will never cease to amaze me. she was truly unworthy.

Oh my god I watched this show on TV when I was young WITH MY PARENTS and it was sooooo embarrassing. Specially in a culture like india it was just too much. I was just excited to watch an english show on TV which was a new fascinating thing since we only ever had indian shows 😭😭 still have ptsd from those days

so excited! this show was a mess. i actually watched it around 11 or 12 and never finished it but then revisited it about 2 years ago and finished the whole thing. honestly i loved the show on rewatch. i wish it would’ve gone on longer. sometimes you need the bad abc family drama shows every now and then.

He was so jealous of Ricky for the whole show. It was annoying to me how he got mad when Ricky was helping Amy with their baby after the baby was born. It’s Ricky’s baby, not his! Also I wanted to punch him when he stole Amy’s ring on the plane. He was always trying to break them up. He was such a dork. 😂😂😂
I wasn’t allowed to watch this show at age 11 so I had to sneak and watch it back in the day (which was odd to me considering other shows/movies that I was allowed to watch at that age and younger lol). Your video sparked my current binge watch of this show. Great Video!!! ☺️
Hated how they removed the little actor-to-viewer sex talk at the end of an episode around the middle of the series AND RANDOMLY PICKED IT UP AGAIN IN THE FINAL SEASON

Amy pissed me off so bad she wanted Ricky to propose to her so bad then didn’t want him, grace pissed me off because she cried about having sex as a Christian but continued, Ben and Adrian mad me mad because why are y’all hunching??? Everybody just was dumb Ricky was the only one with a good character development
