So its been almost a year since my last video but I have returned. This time with(hopefully) a series of recap videos in the style of "An appropriately unhinged recap of Pretty Little Liars" (Mike's Mic), or Rxbeccarose's "an unhinged recap of Victorious" videos.

i mean i love the first 5 seasons but Roanoke and Cult and 1984 are just fine to me but then Apocalypse and the second half of Double Feature are just not good at all. I loved Red Tide and NYC though. So far, Delicate isn’t bad. It’s not as bad as i thought it would be, considering it was written and ran solely by a newcomer to the show. So i’d say post the flop that was Apocalypse, the show has recovered a lil bit(don’t count Death Valley 💀)

@@cainvarner I actually wasn't crazy about Murder House, but I stuck around and really got into the show (I've been watching from the day one) and Asylum is still my fave! Roanoke took me few years to warm up to on my second watch. I hate to say this, but I hated NYC, it was a challenge to get through, TBH. 1984 was actually cool and Apocalypse wasn't as bad as some people say -- Double Feature was ok. Delicate so far is pretty interesting and I hope it doesn't get the AHS mid-season slump.

51:30 the whole point about Moira and the swimming pool is that she wanted her body to be dug up so she could be given a proper burial and finally laid to rest (as seen much later in AHS: Apocalypse), so she wouldn't have to be stuck in the house anymore. I think she also has an emotional reaction when she sees Ben building the gazebo for this reason (IIRC he actually finds her bones down there while he's digging). Another bit of context I didn't hear mentioned is that when we saw Moira with Constance's husband, their dialogue suggests they did have a consensual encounter previously, it was when she refused that he got violent. Her story is so tragic for so many reasons!

Moira did sleep with Constance’s husband once consensually, they talk about it briefly in the flashback scene. Then he tried to persuade her to do it again and she refused so he tried to force himself on her. Just a teeny tiny correction! Constance was definitely right that the first time was cheating, but very wrong about second scenario when she shot Moira.

from what I remember it was technically consensual the first time but only because he persuaded her and she gave in to not get fired or cause trouble. so yes consensual but her causing the cheating is questionable. she didn't want to, she did it to keep him happy

There are so many people who couldn't get through the first episode of American horror story because the information that they threw at you was so jam-packed. Couldn't be me but, My husband is definitely one of the people who can't watch the first season of American horror story because the first episode drags on because it's just so extra informative. I remember falling into this series my senior year of college. Watching the pilot on my tiny iPod at the time and wondering WTF the Infantata was. And then the whole season later… There’s moments in this show that are phenomenal. I still think about them. But the further I am from the show, the less I actually want to rewatch. In part because, as you point out, there’s so much SA and Bury Your Gays. And so much of it feels like it’s for shock and for viral moments instead of having a point? Well, more things in S1 have a point than later seasons, but even so. I’m so freaking happy I found your channel, and I can’t wait to watch your Roanoke video on my break today!

I haven’t seen this show in years so I could be completely wrong and they addressed this in the show, but I always wondered why they never attempted to sell the house to someone to turn into a museum since there’s clearly so much interest in the house. That’s happened several times in my state and it’s incredibly lucrative.

All of these main actors have their own success outside this show. And I agree, the first few seasons were amazing. The slow burn of all the individual tales was just a masterclass in writing. As for the two weeks the daughter was missing from school, instead of a month, if she died in early November she probably had some time off from school for the break, so it makes sense that she was only gone from school for a couple of weeks

Yes!! I have all of Asylum filmed and i’m currently editing that(going to be much better of a video than this one!) and i’m filming Coven this week and Freak Show next week. my goal is to get the first four seasons out within this month and then take a break and focus on another show for a bit and then do Hotel through Apocalypse in the spring time maybe. I was going to do 3 videos with 4 seasons covered in each but that proved to be a daunting task 😭. Hopefully you enjoy them!

Congrats on how well the video turned out! Even for one season, AHS is so convoluted and confusing that this video was probably a MAMMOTH undertaking, and I'm glad people are appreciating the amount of effort you put in! It's really cool how mike's mic has inspired so many people to do deep dives and timelines etc of their favourite shows and movies. Even when people say their videos are heavily inspired by mike's videos, they still put their own personal flair on it, and their own personal passion for the media they're talking about.

This was so good! I remmeber the frenzy when it was aired since at that point, anthologies weren't done that much. When Asylum aired the huge buzz was the thing if same actors different chars conversation. By S3 people were DESPERATE to know if the seasons were connected or not and S4 was huge because they started to connect things. Also, as much as apocalypse is controversial one of the best episodes ever is return to murder house, especially Jessica Lange. The quality really suffered when she left the show. Finally: as an advice, you should place the timeline in a better way and utilize thr space better. During the entire video i was expecting for you to writte until i realized that the blank space was your backdrop

Please deep dive each season episode by episode, I’ve seen similar content styles used to cover such a wide variety of TV shows, and they’re all unique and creative in their own ways, but I love to see MORE of this content, especially with shows I just can’t forget about(Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liars, all of those iCarly and Victorious videos by the one funny dude I forget his name lol) I was shocked to see only three videos on this channel lol I got hyped for so many more! Keep it comin!

I've never been able to get through anything past freak show tbh but loved your breakdown! maybe I can watch your breakdowns of the later seasons to understand more or give them a chance

if i were you i’d start with Hotel, Cult(maybe), 1984, and NYC if you don’t want to be disappointed. The first half of Double Feature is great but the last is terrible. Or just watch my recaps lol. the rest are coming next year!
