Yeah bulbs are soldered. Had a 450 in my project closet for a few years. Decided to clean it up for my son to use. All of the Pioneer’s I’ve worked on had the same bulbs but plug and play. Had some LED bulbs from another project. Soldering is EZ if you have one of those third hand clamp stands. He’s moved on to a different system, but this one survived in his dorm room for four years. A true 15 WPC gem.
This was my 1st stereo receiver I bought for about ($ 175) ABC warehouse in 1978, my first job at "Poderosa steak house" $2.47 hr/part time at 16....LOL
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I am pretty sure that orange "power" LED should be lit up when the device is on, and the "stereo" as well when u find a proper station with the tuner
Yes, The stereo light will light up when tuned in to a FM signal. It was being shown using an AM signal on the video. I may be wrong, But I thought it was just lit up as above. I completely missed the power on light when looking over it, That was my error.
Hey I actually just bought this model and it’s coming in the mail in the next two weeks! Where did you buy your replacement lights? I’m not sure the one i bought has functioning lights so I may have to buy my own.
Ah, Great. I purchased them on ebay. The listing I purchased, Is now ended. But these were the ones 'E10 6V 0.3A Warm White Bulb Light Bulbs Miniature Screw Base'.
Do you have a link to where you got your wood veneer paper? I have a 780 with the same walnut colored veneer that peeled off and any kind of paper I’ve got that says it was walnut was too light and didn’t match the original yours looks like it’s an exact match if you don’t mind I’d like to know where I could get it.
Yeah, not a problem at all. I originally purchased it from Amazon, But it is actually cheaper at 'Dunelm' now. If you are in the UK. www.dunelm.com/product/fablon-walnut-wood-effect-sticky-back-plastic-1000157156
@@retfurb we have very different definitions of overhaul. cosmetics are one thing. an overhaul is something else entirely but whatever. call it whatever you want.
