Hi Kristen, Happy Birthday. My birthday is on the 5th. For the first time ever I made myself a birthday dress with fabric I bought from you! I was browsing the sale and found the french terry europe serenade in black, 2 metre remanent . I looked at it for 3 days and decided it must be mine. I made a Pattern Emporium Go to fit n flare with long sleeves. I love my fabric and I love my birthday dress. I also bought a lumos light for my crochet. Once again Happy birthday and thanks for all you do for us Aussie sewists!

Happy Birthday Kristen 🎉🎉🎉 It is lovely seeing what you are making and your ideas. This is my second year with a Closet Core subscription and Ive not been disappointed. Thanks for the inspiration with the Capulet jacket, I think it will make a great evening coat for my upcoming holiday. I'll be experimenting with a lighter weight fabric I think. I hope it is still in your shop!

$300??? Must have been a huge difference in exchange rate. I have thankfully never needed to pay that much for Craftsy and I do enjoy the classes I've paid for although lately the classes haven't been the greatest on offer - aiming more towards the beginner with which I am not. I did have an ultimate subscription with Cashmerette but I have down graded as I don't use all the elements that you pay for with the highest level. I do love the closet core crew better and have been tempted to renew my subscription now - I think it is due next month and I think at the time of writing this comment I might have just missed the special. It's a good one to take advantage of though I think as their patterns are superb and they have other elements like the fitting room to take advantage of should you need the extra assistance. I like that your boxes are "buy when you want" for all the reasons you mentioned- affordability, a wonderful sounding theme and also seasonal ( I wouldn't use the wintry fabrics, gorgeous as they are, living in Queensland!).

Happy birthday past Kirsten, hope you had a lovely time. I think a 7/8 sleeve is called bracelet length, maybe - meant to show off your bracelets so it isn't quite a full length sleeve. Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong because it'd be good to know if there's another term for it that I don't know of 😀

Gorgeous birthday dress! I need to get this pattern someday soon I guess. I have made the Lyra dress 3 times…its a great pattern. I noticed you said it had a fitted bodice….be aware its very loose fitting in the upper body and waist. If you want it more fitted you may want to size down.

Highly recommend the Sepia pants from the Crew patterns. I have paused my crew subscription but those pants are one of my favorites in my wardrobe! I have a Seamwork membership and I really enjoy that at the moment 😊

I have been a member of Crew for the past 2 years, since it started. I love most, but not all of the patterns. And that is a good thing, otherwise people with different tastes would not like it. I really enjoy watching Heather talk about the inspiration for each month’s pattern. I can also relate to living in other than the US ( exchange rates and duties are killers) and the UK. We, Australia, NZ and Canada are like the little sisters. Seeing all the huge range of fabrics etc and then trying to source it at a more affordable price. What you do first the Aussue market is fabulous. Can you send a cousin up to Canada please😂😂
