This was based on a true story that happened in Thailand about a decade ago. Lots of things in this ep. was influenced by the actual incident. The hashtag was an actual thing #แพรวา9ศพ translates to Praewa 9 Bodies. Photos of her on scene casually texting her blackberry next to her totaled vehicle, there are even photos of the victims laid out in body bags. She ultimately did not serve any jail time, she is from a hi-so (high society) family which is basically the top 10% of earners in the country who are untouchable (you can also look up the son of Redbull and how he has avoided sentencing after killing a police officer by drunk driving). Also, the outrage from the results of the trial and people wanting her to serve a harsher sentence for what she did because ultimately her given sentence was only community service, paying money to the victims' families, and not being allowed to drive until 25. Hopefully, this clears up some of the confusion from this ep. for people lol
The girl who the writer took the case to be inspiration. She is now need to pay for what she did. She may married with her new name and surname but she got divorce anyway. And her family, the previous surname of her is kind of a big family which is those upper class people even declare that she is not part of the group anymore. On the other hand, One of the victim family even died from his depression after his loss over his daughter because the case at first did not proceed enough. the court declare her family to pay compensation to her 9 victim family. Her family spend nearly 10 years to pay compensation to the victim family. Their reason is based that they finally sold their land so they have enough to compensate the victim family. Well, she kill more than 9 people anyway.
For me Nanno is a karma while Yuri is a revenge. Like what you've said guys Nanno technically never physically damage her victims while yuri put all the action.
This! It's really important to remember that Yuri was human. Nanno doesn't feel human emotion and judges completely neutrally. Everyone gets what they deserve. Yuri however gives everyone what SHE thinks they deserve and it's never good.
@@praeweee yes I know Nanno isnt real, but read some Thai news. Even tho Nanno isnt real it really happens that kind of scenario except for the exaggerating part
@@praeweee Bruh stop 🤡 he means the girl who killed 4 people in a car accident is the real one, not Nanno. But in real life it was totally 9 people that was killed. If Nanno is real it would've been better especially to this incident but unfortunately, not. In real incident of this in Thailand 9 people died didn't even get the justice they deserve.
I believe this episode was based off a true story (but obviously heavily dramatized) and the girl killed more than 4 people. Oh I can't wait for you guys to watch the next episode, especially with the addition of Yuri. The switch between this episode and last episode definitely gave me whiplash 😂. I personally think, Nanno didn't want Minnie to die. As we've seen from previous episodes, Nanno's "thing" is to punish (or sometimes reward) people. If she wanted people to die, she would've killed them from the beginning. I think she wants people to live with their pain/mistakes because that's a much greater punishment than dying. Death can be seen as liberation and therefore they wouldn't truly be paying for their actions.
this episode based on the real case, we called the girl who has killed not 4 but actually 9 people the '9 killed Praewa' things like that. people who dies were not just students, one of them was the university lecturer if I'm not wrong. you still can find the photo of her sitting near her severely smashed car chatting on her blackberry phone like nothing happens on the internet which is kinda fucked up. as far as I know, she still lives her privilege life while the family of the deaths still suffering from the lost and the injustice even tho it was a decade ago.
This ep was definitely made to cater to the sense of injustice that the general Thai society felt. I think what had Thai public so outraged was how Praewa (the inspiration for this ep) and her family tried to avoid all consequences and refused to make amends to the victims’ families. I saw on some news that she was ordered by court to do some hours of community service but ultimately avoided almost the entirety of it. She was supposed to pay reparations to the victims’ families by court but this was ignored for almost a decade (if I remember correctly) when her family certainly had the means to do so without much effect on their wealth, while the mother of one of the victims was living in poverty without her son’s help. So when this episode came out, general public in Thailand gobbled this up and predictably became a sensation, since to most people, justice for the rich in Thailand is more a fantasy than reality, which is exactly what this is.
Yes, minnie doesnt even brave enough to said the truth so she probably wont brave enough to kill herself. Nano told her to be honest if she doesnt want hell like what happen in these dreams, but Yuri doesnt wanna give her a change at all and just killed her.
@@MusicLovers-bq8tk No, Yuri didn’t push her. The reason that Yuri did all of the things she did in that episode like exposing her dad so he couldn’t help Minnie was so that she would kill herself. If Minnie didn’t have any support or anyone who could possibly help her get out of the situation that she caused for herself, she would have to face the truth. The truth that she is a terrible person who killed people with her recklessness, the truth that she is the reason why a mother and father won’t be seeing their daughter ever again, the truth that she has nothing and no one to blame but herself. She wasn’t just lying to the public and her family, she was lying to herself and now that the truth is out there, irrefutable proof in the form of the picture, she can’t even keep lying to herself anymore. She’d rather die than be responsible for something like this so if Yuri showed her an open window, of course she would jump off to kill herself.
@@mangamango5569 oh ok, nice theory, that's make sense, that means Yuri did manipulate Minnie to make her desperate and kill herself, bcs I don't think Minnie knew that her parents were died before Yuri came up to her
It a shock news in Thailand rich girl kill 9 people by car and get away with it now she live in happy life with her rich husband. This episode base on true story but in real life it more worse. Srry for my bad English
This was one of the most (well probably the most) disturbing ep. of the whole Girl from nowhere, I was so shock watching it :0 what a big lesson about the consequences someone go through when you recognize or not recognize your mistakes, sadly in real life (because is base on real events) the person didn't face the consequences and is living life like nothing happened
I chatted one of the directors of this episode and she said Patricia Good(Minnie) was very professional actress that's why this episode was really great horror masterpiece. Nanno and Yuri rivalry will begin WAHAHAHAHA💢
The moral of the story is to know when to admit you’re wrong, to own up to your mistakes and face the consequences Because of her Dad’s wealth, Minnie was able to do whatever she wanted because she knew her dad would always bail her out and take care of it, that he would always clean up her mess I really don’t think Minnie meant to kill her classmates, but the accident was primarily her fault, and even when she’s being beaten to death, she refuses to admit she caused all of it, so she paid the ultimate price
Ohhhhhhh, I remember this case. All that aside, I think this EP is like Nanno targets Minnie, and maybe she can foresee that Minnie will kill those girls in the accident so she joined the victims, then wait to see if Minnie will admit her crime. I don't think Nanno caused the accident.
This episode is inspired by the most terrible incident of #Praewa9bodies (#แพรวา9ศพ) and nowaday, Praewa are still living her life happily without any justice. But those family of 9 goners' hearts and souls are being eaten from the inside.
The reason of this scense was that the girl didn’t never get punishment of her things what she did so Nanno made her got the punishment of killing four people and not telling the truth of it!!!!!
As much as I love this show, I don't think I have favorite moment from this episode, considering most of it is like it came straight out of a saw movie.. 😂 But I really like your commentary though 😊
I was gonna put you mind at ease and say ep 4 isn’t as bad but ig you will just have to watch and form your own opinion… it isn’t as confusing as this one though
Things like bribery and teenage pregnancy is a big problem in Thai schools . The comments have been saying this since ep 1 season 1 and you guys still seem surprised that these things happen. If you want to grow as a channel, especially one that reacts to foreign entertainment, research a little bit about the country’s social climate first instead of seeing it from a first world country perspective. I do really enjoy your vids so I say this as a fan who wants to see you grow.
Thanks for the comment. We do read the comments. The thing is we record a couple weeks in advance and it just takes time to edit the videos for RU-vid. So by the time we see the comments we've already reacted to a few episodes in advance. So it's hard to process the comments for the next episodes sometimes. We'll try to keep that in mind for the future. We appreciate the feedback
Nahhh I think the hazing episode is waaay worse than this one, albeit you guys hadn’t watched it yet when making this video. I legitimately had a really hard time watching that one.
