Yeah. I subbed for the amazing quality GTA documentaries but now this channel has just turned into a GTA hate channel. I have nothing against trans people, hell I’m gay myself but all of this “Rockstar is a transphobic” bullshit is well bullshit. GTA has always been a game focused around satire and over exaggerating our real world. I’ve always found Rockstar to actually be quite nice to LGBTQ+ people especially when they made TBoGT. Trevor is hinted at being gay but it’s never made to look like that’s a bad thing, Gay Tony is an exaggerated stereotype of a gay man in the late 2000s and Franklin even says something along the lines of “So what if he’s gay, it doesn’t change who he is”. At the end of the day if the satirical nature of GTAs humour isn’t for you, just accept it and move on.

Saw it all the time growing up and even now. View the studs as one of the guys but be quick to throw out the f slur in regards to a gay guy.

I'm not trying to offend you here, but the GTA series has a knack for satire that spans across all walks of life. It's not just individuals or specific groups that get targeted, but entire eras, lifestyles, and even governments of those times. From the 80s to the 90s in the 3D games, to the 2005 to 2020s in the HD ones, Rockstar has consistently used satire to poke fun at societal norms and trends. It's not about causing offense but rather about cleverly satirizing everything in a way that prompts reflection and commentary on the absurdities of our world.
If someone is offended by something it doesn’t matter what the original intent behind that thing was. You can agree or disagree about whether someone should be offended by something but to refute its offensive nature by claiming satire completely disregards the fact that satire, much like comedy, can be done poorly and in bad taste. I love the fact that the GTA series is willing to push the limits of what content we allow for the sake of entertainment, but the implication that all people should view this content through one perspective and accept it at face value is at best impractical, and at worst extremely harmful to the people that these jokes and themes are at the expense of.

Hey so I haven’t been in the loop for this channel apparently the last 6 months so yeah apologies but I was kinda only here for the gta criminal documentary and later on the mafia one was even hoping for red dead redemption documentary style stuff but if your planning to stop and just do geography then sounds interesting but not into the whole fallout games so yeah But thanks for the last two years of content with criminal documenting stuff it was really interesting something nobody thought about so glad you did but yeah thanks its been a pleasure watching but hope for the best and I hope you enjoy your new content that you want to do 👍

I didn't find this out for a good while since we only talked in VR but Jesus I never thought he'd do something like this and I'm hoping the samething dosen't happen to CH.

Best of luck, I'm just sad to see the cool niche you made in the gta content space with the documentary style vids about the lore go, also not wanting to be discouraging but going into Fallout lore and as a years long fallout fan myself I say will be a tough job, not only is fallout lore a quite saturated genre also the community is let's say way more passionate and rabid than the gta community ever was. Does this mean a shift away from the criminal historian content? I fully support your transition but I just think a lot of us subscribed because you did fantastically high quality breakdowns of these characters and I know at least personally would hate to have the quality you bring to the community lost

It’s crazy how Rockstar tackles it though isn’t it? The GTA games do have some racism, sexism, and little transphobia but it’s not a main focal point of the game, Rockstar has their own way of doing it and if you’ve played the games many times thoroughly no character main or NPC ever called someone a fa**ot (unless it was in TBOGT) of course and none of the games have ever had the N word in it (the hard R version) in a racist manner.

I can understand wanting to move from GTA and the issues that it may present or have, subtle or overt. While I am not transgender, I do involve myself regularly in the community and am nonbinary myself, so I can appreciate what you are saying to a fair degree, I think. Covering other games, or maps, or whatever else you have is fine by me. I discovered your channel completely on accident, and while covering all the GTA characters and such was absolutely grand, I know that well's probably run very dry by now. As a pretty adamant fallout fan, I fully support covering that sort of thing too! I'm here because I like how you present your videos, and how you do the work to make them. Editorially, sound-wise, whatever. Point is, and I'll be frank, if somebody does come round and start getting bigoted, they can pound sand.

I had noticed in one of your more recent videos, and it became pretty clear to me that you were transitioning. This announcement felt inevitable, honestly, but I’m still proud of you for making it. And listening to you talk now, it feels like this change is for the better. You sound more relaxed and at ease. You sound really genuine. You sound happy, and if people are going to stop supporting you because you’re happier with yourself now, screw ‘em. You’re better off without them. You make the content you want to make. If some topics make you feel uncomfortable in this new part of your life, well, you don’t have to talk about them. Just focus on the stuff that makes you happy. GTA has had offensive humor of all kinds. Racist, Sexist, Mysognistic, transphobic, and religophobic games. I wouldn’t necessarily consider it as one thing. Even then GTA existed as satire, ignorant, uneducated, or even bigoted people may have written parts of the GTA games or what not. But the main thing GTA has been about is being a criminal, driving, and satire. Not to bash groups, religions, or communities. An opinion is an opinion though, and there’s no shame in it. We might disagree on the stance with GTA but what I can agree with you on is that you’re doing what makes you happy, and you are being you. And that’s a good thing. Keep going with that!

First of all, I just came from your video ranking 3D era towns and cities and went "Huh, I don't remember that voice", so naturally looked at your page to come across this. Now the main thing, my difference with the video. GTA has always made fun of everyone, me included. It's kinda their thing to poke fun at everyone. Being fine when jokes are made about everyone else, but not when it's directed at your own demographic is, and I'm sorry to say this, a bit uptight. Half the point of GTA is to learn to laugh at yourself or rather the stereotypes of your demographics, it's like when jokes are made at Muslim people and all the Christians laugh along, but they stick their nose up as soon as the joke turns to the Christians themselves. I understand that you may take offence by the series, especially at first, but being more accepting about yourself (which is tricky these days with the right wing folk becoming louder) should ultimately let you look back and have a laugh (like for some cringy stuff you may have done while younger, we've all done cringy things). And no, I am not trying to make you uncomfortable in saying this. I am coming from an area of understanding as I am myself under the trans umbrella, had to do my own soul searching and had to live to accept who I am as a person. I am also old enough to realise that it takes a lot more energy to be upset at something as mundane as how GTA games get written than it is to simply play them as they are and enjoy what there is to enjoy. Long story short: I cannot like this video, but I accept and celebrate you and your journey. I'm happy you are able to be who you want to be but I think you should think a little harder if this change in your content is going to be of benefit or dentrimental to your growth. You have a nice following and you are changing your established content now so if people leave, it has to do with that, not with not accepting you. There is no horrible comments, just confused how they became so woke when they blindside racism or sexism but transphobia oh no terrible. im trans i still love gta but yall need to go back and play the games, and listen to the radio talk shows and especially some of the ads for vice city and 4, some of the jokes while admittedly funny ( i still die of laughter from WKTT) the trans stuff just comes across as mean spirited, there a world of difference from laughing at something trans people do, vs laughing at people for being trans at all. Yes much of gta is satire but much of that satire is directed at culture and behaviors, not against demographics themselves, never does it go so far as to make fun of someone BECAUSE they're black, or white or Asian etc. but gay people are funny cause theyre gay, trans people are funny cause theyre trans, its a double standard, it also doesn't help that trans representation in gta amount to little more than "man in a dress, deep voice, doesn't shave"
