Las Venturas is my favorite city from the 3D era. As a teenager I played a SAMP RP server that was based in LV, so being there in vanilla GTA SA always gives me a warm feeling :)

San Fierro always gave me that cozy feeling. It was also the city I appeared in the first time I picked up San Andreas back in 2004: my dad had played up to Jizzy’s missions, so I just spawned at the pier and got to run around and explore the pizza shop, city, and surrounding hillside. There’s also the really unique airport, the various parks, and the various districts and towers. So much to explore in the city itself. Definitely one of the most unique in the series for sure.

i wish rockstar made carcer city from manhunt into a full gta map, it would be an absolutely wonderful place to be in. depressing, dark, gritty and full of crime. i think a slightly horror-styled gta would be a nice addition to the franchise, sumthin like james earl cash's shenanigans before he got placed on death row

Always loved Dillimore and San Fiero, the atmosphere of Fierro was just different and exciting, its the only section of the map where it feels like a fresh start is possible for the gang, a very cozy place.

LIberty City has a really unique atmosphere. I like how in certain places in Portland you can hear music outside buildings like bars and machinery outside factories and the sawmill

Y'know what's my favourite location in GTA San Andreas? Hampton Barns, the bearly-a-place place that don't even appear on the map as having any buildings. It's not a town, or a city, so it isn't and very much shouldn't be on this list. Some sources call it a 'hamlet' and that's not inaccurate. I love it for just that, there was no reason to include Hampton Barns. It only sort of exists as is and yet it does. There's a beauty to these small, meaningless places, I think. A certain wonder to a thing to find after years of playing a game and go "Wait, I've never even heard of this place?", even if it ay much. Certainly impressed me a few years ago, at least.

I liked it in Liberty City Stories because really liked the house you have, and tbh as an area it's really nice. Just a nightmare to get around if you aren't familiar with it, especially on missions. The roads can be like a maze, the layout is so weird.
@Nassyy
@Nassyy 2 месяца назад
Shoreside Vale, I think it's underdeveloped. I assume R* did not have the luxury of time back then to make that area more interesting or complete. This time factor could also be the reason for the infamous blocked tunnel. Not to mention 9/11 made things more complicated in development
@TheBlockerNator
@TheBlockerNator 2 месяца назад
@@Nassyy Actually, the reason the tunnel exists. according to rockstar's 10th anniversary qna, the tunnel was never meant to be accessable and only existed to make the world of Liberty City feel like it existed past the boundaries

Dissing SA cities because "there's not enough missions or enterable buildings everywhere". Like... you serious? There's tons of places to explore, filled with interesting buildings. It was bigger and better than 3 or VC. You were way better when you were doing geographies and biographies, rather than rakings.

san fierro has got to be my fav place, i like it bcos of its vibe. liberty city is simillar to it, but its only my 2nd fav solely bcoz of the confusin map layout. even after ive played on it for hundreds of hours my brain goes bonkers whenever i enter shoreside vale. speakin of which, i also like san fierro bc its not too big and simple to understand. also, mount chilliad is near it!

I know this may be silly but my absolute favourite city has always been vice city. It was the first game I ever played and ever since then I’ve been waiting to go back to vice city with updated controls. Florida is my favourite place in the United States which is a bit of a…oxymoron considering how I feel about most of the people there. But I love a tropical city that’s constantly having storms and smells gorgeous if you go to one of the less urban areas cause all you can smell is the foliage. God I loved it I’m so happy 23 years later we are finally going back!!!

I wonder how you'd rank them if the 2 bigger cities were divided into their parts. Splitting Vice City in 2, Liberty City in 3, and letting the 3 San Andreas cities stand as they are. I personally feel most connected to east Los Santos but agree the west ie downtown felt a bit bare and under utilised. Las Ventures would be my pick for bottom as well. It feels kinda lifeless and yea rushed through. Maybe if you do Taxi side missions here you get a little more connected with the city and I remember the trip from the north-west house to Millie's house very well. I gather the casina was originally another asset with more missions available and I imagine they didn't want to slow down the pace of the story by spending too long here before making our epic return to Los Santos for the finale, which also moves quickly.

Always had Vercetti Estate/Diaz mansion as main base in Vice City after getting it. 3 never really bothered me as you never actually got many houses, though going to Portland after Sayonara Salvatore is a death sentence. But always torn between Las Venturas and San Fierro on San Andreas. Las Venturas has the best safehouse and Prickle Pine is a lovely area near the casino's which look so good at night, but San Fierro is generally probably my favourite island on the game. Though Angel Pine and Los Santos are great in own way too.

You know, what woild be a great name for that unnamed town East of Bone County? Is it Biggs' Bread or the Ranch (after the Strip Club, The Big Spread Ranch)? Hornet Springs (after Doc Hudson of Cars and Radiator Springs)? Railgun (after the Train Crossing and the Ammunation there)? Packram (after the Packer parked at the nearby Truck Stop? Rachwell (after Rachel, Nevada and Roswell, New Mexico, in reference to its proximity to Area 69 and the mission Green Goo passed through here) Gringo (a GTA III Meme and the play to Green Goo) If you have any better idea, please suggest down below Also, with my rankings of cities will be 1. San Fierro 2. Los Santos 3. Vice City 4. Liberty City 5. Las Venturas

First of all, I hope your transition is going great, and glad to see more GTA content. Having said that, I think your voice is great, but the sound mix itself feels off? For really long form content like this, I'd prefer a better sound mix for something as crucial as voice over. Preferably using something like a "Podcast Filter" would really help. Also maybe taking a few decibels off the background music. For a good example, compare the audio from this to something like the video "The Spectacular Failure of the Star Wars Hotel" by Jenny Nicholson, which I think has a great sound mix. Anyways, wishing you the best, and can't wait to see more cool GTA content in the future. trans rights

Hey not at all complaining about your new voice, glad to see your transition progressing, but for the sake of the quality of your videos, just a bit of constructive criticism, I have to say you seem to be having problems with intonation and with connecting the words in that new voice, you're sounding a bit robotic, like every sentence is flat and every word requires a pause, pay attention to that on your voice training :)

I too think Liberty City is the best city. I loved all the "GTA Geographies" videos you've made about Liberty City. GTA 3 was my first love,, after Zelda LTTP & OOT. The vibe and feeling is unmatched. Like you've said, Shoreside Vale feels like it mighta been a little rushed and is under utilized, but there is something about it's messed up twisty windy confusing layers that I love 🤣. Also, once you figure out how to fly the Dodo, it's so fun to view the whole map from the air, and visit the ghost town where the opening cut scene takes place. I look forward to more GTA Geographies videos too!!! Don't let any negative comments mess you up, just keep pushing on 👍👍
