@King2Stone I have the fantastic Kiowa to play with on the Afghanistan map. Kiowa seems to be the only helicopter in DCS that doesn't have an overactive need to VRS at the slightest reason. I'm sure the Chinnock like the other ED helos will VRS all day long. I kinda hope Kiowas flight model will inspire ED to fix the VRS exaggeration in their modules.

​@@Gunfreak19amen, they only need to fix that ground effect bug where you need about 105% power to not drop followed by immideate fast climbing when reaching zero..

I can do without NVG and multicrew for a little bit while I familiarize with the Chinook, but no force trim? That's an absolute basic necessary function for any helicopter, seems ridiculous to me *Edit, meant to say it sounds ridiculous on ED's part, not calling OP's comment ridiculous

as far as multicrew goes, i can do without tbh. its hard enough to convince my friend to drop $50 or more on some of these planes, even more so for the chinook considering how much early it is in early access

What about sending other ships in the Group on different vectors....and if you change Course/Speed with the Super Carrier, I'd think that the entire Group would adjust as well? And lastly, is there a reverse throttle, would help with docking!

there is no such thing as NO TRIM on a helicopter - it will come with a Basic trim system and AI helper in EA.

It's a common problem with upscaling techniques unfortunately. Some games/engines handle it better than others. DLAA ghosts less in DCS than DLSS/FSR but it's still present and Nvidia only.

@@BrockvsTV He admitted himself (later) that instead of working on Battle of Britain/CloD new title, his team should have been gradually improving their already working and great IL-2 project to this new level. That way, they would have averted their sad fate.

@@BrockvsTV No problem) Technically, this stuff is a problem for all live service games (which IL-2 essentially became over the years) -- by trying to make something new, their developers are fighting against their own (existing and successful) creation, not only throwing their new product under its threads but also fracturing playerbase.

That was their original plan but they had such a problem getting source material that they gave up on it and went to a more documented era

In some ways it makes sense. They wanted pacific but ran into too many problems so they went for an easier documented era. And last of the fully gun era where they don’t have to model air to air missiles. Ill play it but I also wish someone would do the Battle of France personally

@@Hockey-su7bd oh yeah he sure shows his age.. am i getting this correct, 1333 mhz max on the RAM slots? Thats gonna hinder the performance by quite a bit.. Dcs eats ram like nothing else and likes it running at high freqs.. If youre on a budget, check to see wether a new mainboard and ram its compatible your other parts, else youre kinda between a rock and a hard place there sir.. Thats the Dilemma i was in recently too, wanted to upgrade my ram, motherboard only takes ddr3, but i was already set on 32 gb of ddr4.. got a new motherboard and ended up having to upgrade nearly everything, the mainboard didnt have the proper socket for the cpu- new cpu, old watercooler didnt fit the new motherboard- new watercooler.. power supply didnt suffice anymore- new power supply.. now the graphics card was bottlenecking the whole thing so i got a new one leaving me with the case and the fans... which i also replaced since the old one was showing its age.. Tldr: Wanted to get a little bit more fps and ended up killing my savings..

@@Halozocker104 That doesn't sound very nice for you either.Thanks for the tip, my 24 GB was just enough so far. My system is old but worked until recently. Not very well, but it was still good enough to fly DCS.Unfortunately, my old PC has already been expanded to the maximum and more expanding it no longer works with my old mainboard. 24GB is already the maximum. My settings were just soft enough that it still worked for flying without stuttering or freeze frame, not on max setting of course, but on medium. Unfortunately, this no longer works since the last updates. The system requirements for this game are unfortunately getting higher and higher. My old PC can no longer keep up. I recently bought the Kola Map and the Phantom. I taxi to the runway and as soon as I start and take off the wheels are just in the air I have 1- 3 FPS and freeze frame for 1 minute then I already hear the bang because I hit the ground. Then the PC loads for a while and then the picture comes back. Then I see my burning fireball on the ground. No longer flyable for me. Unfortunately, my other modules and maps all have the same problem now. But they used to work without any problems. Taking off and landing with a Tomcat or an F18 used to be no problem. Now I can't even take off anymore. crazy

@@Hockey-su7bd by the sound of it it might, just might, have to do with the hard drive and how much space is left after that kola install, given youve said it only became unplayable recently.. those 150gb dont even fit my current dcs nvme and on slower ssd or even hdd drives it can make a significant diffrence if theyre full to the brim.. How much space is left on your disk now if you dont mind me asking? Another thing, Ive heard of a descent amount of cases of 3 ram sticks having issues talking to each other in certain motherboards, even if theyre the same make and model, though being 1333 mhz i wouldnt recommend going down to 16gb.. Thats one if the things i didnt expect, i though the modules were the expensive part in flight simming.. Depending on what your standards are theyre not😅 What are you planning to do? Id hate for you to loose dcs given how much time and money we sink into it..

I think no clickable cockpits. IMO not a huge deal, as the systems in these planes are much simpler, than on modern jets. What bothers me the most in il-2 is very limited game engine

@@dishdoggiegaming7254 Yes its a new engine. The old IL-2 had reached its limits. Mission scripting was a nightmare. Lighting was bad and could not be fixed. By making Korea its own title they can brake away from G Battles.

@@mikequigleyorruneoform7096 Thank You I honestly liked the Maps in IL-2 S I always felt they were some of the best looking maps made for Sim pit flying.

Have you tried a fresh install for DCS? Or at least a repair for files?

We don't use AI to write our scripts. We report the official statements, newsletters and insert small opinions based on that info. Thats it!
