Hi janandbrad - glad you enjoyed it! Jerry and I designed and built it ourselves because we couldn't find a decently engineered, easily adjustable roller at a sensible price in the UK. We have a few available at £550 sterling, but I guess shipping to the States would be a bit pricey. If you are interested email me slabroller@essexsteam.co.uk
Your design looks great and very clean. I would like to build one like it. I have a studio for challanged children and this roller looks like they can handle it with few problems. Could I purchase a set of plean to build it please?
Update information - I have now found a new carrier who delivers the slab roller to continental USA for only £68 sterling, so contact me to order. The new batch will be ready in the next few weeks.
Such as fantastic design, especially for Potters such as myself and many of our students with disabilities and physical challenges! We will definitely purchase one once we save enough ❤️🙌
Hello. I am interested in your version of the "Clay slab roller", in particular, how is the height adjuster of the roller arranged, which simultaneously raises-lower-locks the roller on both sides, without needing to adjust the roller on the other side? How is the shaft installed inside the roller? - You can see that it is not in the center of the roller.
We are building a potter's website for our ideas and for other potters ideas. It includes stuff that we sell, stuff that we use and stuff that other potters use. We look forward to everyone's input on the site.
Hi. Very interesting. I´m from Argentina and I can´t pay the shipment to my country. Do you have the plans of the slab roller? May be I could build one for my studio.
Fantastic design, however, as you stated, a bit pricey for shipment to US. I think this is the best table top design I've seen in a mini slab roller! Thanks again for sharing!
Hi Carol - thanks for the email via our website www.pottersbits.co.uk I have sent you a personal reply. We are starting to build the next batch in the next few weeks.
As shown in the video the slab roller is designed by Jerry and me (John) and is now built by me after Jerry retired. You can buy then direct from the website www.pottersbits.com or email me from the contact page of the website. You can also collect from me in Maldon, Essex, UK if you prefer.
