A New Era (A USMNT Film)
The USMNT has gone through many trials and tribulations these last couple of years. From missing out on the 2018 World Cup to getting dominated by Canada, the USA have not looked great. Over the last couple of months this has changed though. Prospect after prospect, goal after goal, the USA has developed so many players in such a short amount of time that it's hard to keep track. The Next generation of US talent looks phenomenal, and if they can reach their potential we have a team that can compete with the rest of the world. Cheers to a new era!

@@yodakazam for that to happen. your world cup squad needs to have a min of 12-14 players playing regular football in the european league and at a very high level. for you to have a chance to compete, because most of these teams that are pulling up young kids to national squad at ages of 17-19 will be at their peaks. look at england fo example. at 2026, foden will be 24, rashford 28, sancho 26, bellingham 22, TAA 28, AWB 26, greenwood 24, saka 25, ben white 27, chillwell 27, calvert-lewin 28. not to mention england clubs have some real next level players coming out of their academies now who will probably be first team eligible by then. and thats just the england squad. you need to shake up how you play domestic football in order to get a good mix of players from the european leagues and a good tight bunch of domestic players. till the time that doesnt happen, US mens team is not winning anything. you can keep fighting with USWST for equal pay and all that BS.

I think they have improved over the years, I think the US men's team is getting more experience in competing in the world stage. Perhaps with time we see how they stack up against the world's elite national teams. The women's team pretty much nailed it, but the men's team have super stronger competition so lets see what happens over the next years.

@rogerstephenroth8073

@@GManCODM Well I can tell you that the competition for the world cup championship in the men's game is brutal. Even Italy and Holland did not qualify for Russia 2018 last year. Even major powers like Brazil, Argentina, England, Uruguay, Germany have had their share of troubles in between World Cup competitions. USMNT team is in direct competition along with the other 200 national teams in Fifa. So that is a lot of competition from around the world. You never know what can happen. In 2026 with the North America World Cup- USA, Canada- Mexico will have home field advantages so it can bring up interesting developments. We have yet to see what could happen in Qatar 2022. Surprises are possible. I think like the women's team the mens' team has potential to one day compete for a world title, but it will depend if they find very talented men's player. Overall there is a lot of competition but it would be fun to watch. The sport has been around for 157 years since England invented the modern sport, so the USA has excelled in all sports with exception to men's soccer-football which has been the only sport the United States men's team has never been world champion at. Considering the United States is a super power in world championships and Olympics, the soccer-men's world cup remains a challenge for the American athlete in the men's division.

As soul crushing as missing the 2018 World Cup was, it may have been the best thing that ever happened for the USMNT. There was an arrogance to that team ultimately cost them in the end but if you watch the team since that point you can see obviously that it’s transitioned to a younger group of talent but it’s also, for maybe the first time in a very long time, a team. A cohesive unit as opposed to the best 11 guys.

I like rhw youngsters. Lacking a number 9 and pulicic gets hurt alot so they still have a bit to go before they are serious contenders as far as big trophies go. U.S. has alot of talent but pay to play kills it. Many talents fall through the cracks because they cant pay to make it to national tryouts
@KenDaKingArrives
@KenDaKingArrives 3 года назад
@@ricardopalomino8329 That is changing. There's a Soccer RU-vidr named TacticalManager, he's a USA and Brazil fan because he's Brazilian-American and works for Orlando City FC in MLS coaching in their academy. He covers mainly the USMNT though and mentioned a mission I came across a year ago. "MLS Now/Next" is a recently-started long-term operation to restructure the youth system in the US. Within 5-10 years, pay-to-play will end nationwide as all the independent youth teams nationwide are linked to MLS and their academies which are already free. MLS will expand their scouting network and share resources with the independent clubs, including scouts and funds, so the kids won't have to pay anything and more talents will be found more quickly. Staying informed is a good way to know if problems are being addressed, we're not Mexico (or a European country) where it's safe to assume nothing will ever change or at least attempt to be changed.

Good video and good luck from a Canadian, I often see videos at how supposedly “Canada is progressing”. But honestly Mexico and USA are a league above, you can’t rely on one quality player (johnathan David) and one world class player (Alphonso Davies) is not enough to win a WC, let alone qualify, if we qualify which I thinks will have a chance, but even if we qualify it’ll be humiliating as we’d be lucky to get a win let alone get a point in the WC group stages. As much as it pains me to say it (being Canadian and such and our notorious neighbourly rivalry) your national team is doing excellent, good luck in the 2022 WC and I’m actually serious, I hope you guys make NA have a good impression.

Cautious optimism. All in the worry that we’ll fail in qualification playing Trapp or Yueill as our single pivot.

Steffen, McKinnie, Sargent, Dest, Pulisic, Reyna, Weah, Vines, Busio, Robinson, Moore, Hoppe and so many more young names all playing in Europe now... Beating Mexico in back to back finals is just the tip of the iceberg for what's to come with this U.S. squad. It may not all come together in 2022... but 2026? The sky could very well be the limit for this team.

Look out world. Americans love the beautiful game. They've got talent. They've got money. They've got numbers. They're hungry. They're angry. The world has been warned. The US will do serious damage in 2022. Dismiss them at your peril.

You know as a México fan I'm glad USA is growing, at this rate they surely will leave México behind sadly I wish México was like this but since the Mexican league is mainly about business and about having players from different countries. instead of focusing on youth players or selling good players for the correct price they want to sell them for an exaggerated price im afraid it won't grow as much.

No matter what they accomplish it will have been done with help from Holland. Cheating hearts aside, this puts a lot of pressure on the coaching staff. They still don't look like they have a leader on the field, so the leadership at the side line is going to need to get it right. Anything short of 4th place and you're going to need to wonder if you could have done better somewhere along the line. Looks pretty promising overall. Go U.S.A. + one!

As an American it's embarrassing to even play in the same qualifying division as some of these countries. At the state our team is in we should get replaced by an island nation. Tired of getting excited for the next olympics, and for the next world cup, only for the team to let me down again and again. I don't think i'm going to tune into American soccer until around 2022 or 24

We all got to be honest, Pulisic was playing out of his mind towards the end of the season, the only question he has to answer now is “Can he perform consistently”? That is the most important question as well

The USMNT can be redeemed only by results. Qualifying for the WC would be a start, but they’ve got a long way to go before many soccer fans believe in them again.

@ryancouture1436

A nice glimpse at this new generation in USMNT soccer, but I think it is very premature to expect much from US soccer. While the Amrican standouts are exciting to follow, we must admit that the bulk of their development comes from overseas, for obvious reasons--US development is still lacking so much. I am heartened by new development programs that seem to be following the european club model rather than the NCAA footbal/basketball model, but this video underscores a US tendency to focus heavily on stars and goal scorers to the detriment of solid defensive and team performances. There is still a lot of growth needed in US soccer culture and awareness before we can develop consistent perfromances and be considered a major player in world soccer.

Call me when we have a striker of the caliber of McBride, Dempsey or Donovan (aka a striker that can start in the Premier League). Until we can put balls in the back of the net, it doesn’t matter how good the other 10 are. And the results since 2014 are proof of it.

I like what I've seen from Daryl Dike at Barnsley. Seems to have a striker's nose for goal and he's a big, physical dude.
