A geopolitcal analysis
Energy is the driver of growth, and the main source of energy that we use, oil coal and natural gas, is no longer going to increase yearly, because we have pulled more than half of it out already. Essentially we are entering into the second half of oil.
This slow down in fossil fuel production will lead to massive changes in how the world works, it will lead to destabilization and an increase in deglobalized regions.
The road ahead will be one that is hard, but not impossible to navigate.
Agricultural communities will fare well. There will also be a need for engineers.

I think nuclear is going to be the backbone of the new era of energy. Renewables will be a stabilizing factor.

Theres a good chance that we will still be burning them 200 years from now, but we wont be burning them at this rate, and they wont make up 80% of total energy consumption. The question is, "how do we raise the total amount of energy in the system in a clean way?". 90 billion barrels of oil, or 160 petawatts, per year is a lot of power to replace. Will take time innovation, infrastructure and materials. I think nuclear will play a big role in getting us there.
