Like Dakota! She seems level headed and quite “chill”…Expect that to a degree as a pilot. I would, however, suggest she try to be “a bit” more outgoing in front of the camera, especially if she is going to be a host. That may come with experience or just simply her natural demeanor. Not a bad thing, just an observation.
Yea I can understand where you are coming from. She seems nice enough. Maybe just camera shy and will slowly open up... maybe shes just uncomfortable when the focus is put on her. I know theres times in my life where I have gotten nervous/ awkward when all the focus is on you. I think its a good deal for Bobby to have her run that channel. If she finds her element, that could turn into a huge channel.
If Dakota and you ever get up to the great Northwest (Portland OR area), you should hook up a flight in our Baron 58 series. My wife has a very interesting aviation story. First flight lesson to ATP in one year. 3 years later she was flying a B-747👩🏻✈️✈️.. and she has a doctorate in Education!👏🏼😊
I miss the dogs. I didn’t know anything about Labordoodle’s (I’m a Labrador Retrievor fan and had a Rottweiler that I loved) but, I really miss Maverick and Goose.
I think Dakota will be a great host for FD❤ it’s been fun to watch her loosen up and settle into SD. Once her nerves settle, she will be amazing on FD! Bobby I enjoy all your channels!
Looking forward to Flying Doodles videos, just subscribed, viewed a few before and looked interesting. You should run down Bryan Baeumler of Renovation Island about how he uses his aircraft now. He was flying over to the Bahamas and back. I don’t think the island show is on HGTV anymore but he’s into other programming. He was living in the Ft. Lauderdale area. Good luck to Dakota.
Great video. Can't wait to see more. It's also great to see a level headed down to earth lady on the boat. Hopefully her and flying doodles will take off. I have a friend that him and his wife are getting ready to start their solo flights & looking into buying their first (and only) plane. They're finishing up on watching all of the previous flying doodles. It's helping them narrow down what they really want.
Congrats on a FlyingDoodles finally finding that gem who was needed to push that project. Her energy and flying skills will be a nice catalyst for that channel, and she can spread her wings learning a new craft.

You nailed it. I haven't watched Flying Doodles in ages, only watched a few, and now will be watching again because I have absolutely no idea how this will go with Dakota hosting. I kind of like her, but also have zero idea who she is, what she likes, if she likes Bobby, what she wants out of life, etc.. The girl is an utter mystery.
I imagine Dakota’s a very nice person but this episode was nothing shy of pulling teeth. If being on camera, much less taking the reigns of the flying channel, is not her cup of tea then full respect as this isn’t for everyone. Having said that, there are so many outwardly passionate and engaging young people on social media/YT now who would love to be hosting an aviation channel. Strange pick by Bobby who himself is a pilot. Hoping this video isn’t indicative of things to come and I’m happy to give the benefit of the doubt that she’ll improve. Though for a young pilot to have about 1200 hrs (as she states) and presumably all her tickets through MEI/II (but not ATP) she couldn’t come across more disinterested about flying. Perhaps it’s ultimately not her passion which is absolutely fine but why have her host that channel? Again, I’m sure she’s a very nice person and perhaps shy on this take… just optimistic that we’ll see a different side or this can’t really work for Bobby’s aviation related audience in the long run 🤷♂️
Dakotas a party animal that Bobby has had to harness to get more creativity out of the channel. She is there because she got the most views ever on one video. She gets the views and will make flyinĝdoodles a great success. Once we see her in the flying environment she will be very cool and Bobbie knows how to pick them. I hope she unleashes her wild side in acrobatics. Cool confident, knowledgeable pilot babe doing wild aerobatics, what great content that will be
Some folks are trying to troll Dakota, she a smart laid back lady and will fit in once everyone gets to know her, which is what was the best part of this podcast.

You guys should go the the Las Cruces Air & Space Expo Oct 21st. They're going to have a Sport Class air racing demo. Would make for some great Flying Doodles content.

Dakota is lovely and a nice addition to the crew. Maybe a higher level of energy or some demonstration of enthusiasm. There is a clear energy deficit between Bobby and Dakota. It’s difficult to know if she is actually engaged in the experiences. Viewers get more joy when the crew demonstrates that joy.
she's gonna have to ramp up the engagement with audience factor several notches to host the channel. Just doesnt seem to really give a damn, seems to me

I lived in Corpus for about 16 years and then Houston for another 14 years. Corpus has some neat things to see and do as well as Galveston. October is pretty hot down there.
Too bad you didn't have this organized before now, I got back from the "last" Reno National Air Races. That would have been good for a Flying Doodles episode.
State Fair of Texas opened yesterday (Friday 9/29). Thursday in Dallas is supposed to be rainy. Go Friday. DO NOT go on Saturday! Bring lots of money, because they've gone up on almost everything.
I have a suggestion for an airplane to review, there are now electric powered airplanes currently in production which are designed for flying lessons. So they are two seater and have enough of a range for a flying lesson. I've seen a review of them on RU-vid because I'm obsessed with electric cars. The problem is there is nothing neutral about the guy who did the review because he is obsessed with everything electric. It would be interesting to see a review by someone who is not just totally obsessed that everything electric powered is always amazing.
@@hd-xc2lz just to be clear do you a possible review has to be restricted or the airplanes should be restricted? And considering safety when you look at mechanical things going wrong there isn't any thing to go wrong. If your going to come out with some nonsense about catching fire, I should point out that when you compare cars, petrol and diesel cars are multiple times more likely to catch fire. So electric airplanes will be safer and you want to restrict them, for what reason? Do you just prefer emitting fumes that give people cancer and loads of other conditions as well as destroy the climate threatening the entire ecosystem that humans rely on.

Completely agree. If she doesn't want to be there then she should leave. Like pulling teeth to get her to say anything. Getting more than four words at a time out of her is a miracle. I would like to say something nice about her. Here goes. She has the monotone voice down perfectly.
I think she a bit more shy that the usual crew and it takes a bit to adjust to being on camera. If you look back at Taylor’s early vids she was much more reserved.
Dakota is starting to warm up more, she's just doesn't seem like a very animated person, but she more than makes up for it with those nice cans she's sporting and a willingness to try whatever she's tasked with.
I'M in Corpus and if I were you I would be hitting up Matt with, Off the Ranch / Demolition Ranch ( major you tube channels) for the eclipse. He has a new abandoned resort build going on near Boerne on the at present dry Guadlupe River in the zone. it even has a dirt runway, needs a bit of reclaiming from nature but if the need arises. Or even his not so abandoned mansion on top of the hill in Boerne, and that's probably best spot in Texas.
