A NEW I'm on Observation Duty! - I am the Caretaker 

This is that kind of game when you describe it sounds boring, but in reality it is actually really fun. Man I love these games.

Imagine the chimney sweeper is on the roof and the owner just went "thats new" and removed his ladder. Many say he is still up there waiting for his ladder to return.

There is nothing scarier than someone or something having a dead stare right into your camera. Spooky times, I hope 2021 Halloween will be a 24h marathon of HorrorSym.

I really wish these games had audio clues. The amount of small details I would end up missing would drive me insane!

Imagine an "I'm on cleanup duty" Where you receive anomaly reports and have to enter the right room, find the anomaly, and use a correct tool to get rid of it. Like empty hand to simply move an object back or remove an extra, a paint roller to revert paintings, a taser to get rid of intruders, a bible to exorcise a ghost, screwdriver to fix a camera, etc. There's also the chance an anomaly report is wrong, and if you can't find an anomaly you send back the report is wrong, but do that too many times incorrectly and the guy on observation duty dies.

As someone who read a lot of I spy books as a child, I really enjoy watching these type of games.

For the speed it was made, pretty darned solid. Not having to necessarily specify every type of object change seems more fun for the player than Movement, Disappearance, Growth, Shrinkage...

I love to think that all these anomalies are the act of one Spirit trying to get your attention, luring strange people(intruders) into the house, moving objects such. Whenever you see shadow or light anomalies, it's the ghost attempting to take form. The abyss presence could be the ultimate attempt, but you as the caretaker are apart of a scp type team trying to keep the spirit contained.

This one seems eerily realistic. I think it’s the lighting that does it 🤔 (mostly). Good textures are good textures, but good lighting and especially VERY good lighting are something-,, what’s the word, - rare¿/hard¿

You should revisit the second house of the second game, I think they removed the static filter because of you bringing attention to it. I was just playing it with my friends the other day to show them how bad it was and it was mysteriously gone.

You could call this genre "Surveillance Horror"/"Surveillance Survival Horror". But yeah, I kinda like it

I just had a great idea for whoever makes the next game like this! Have a third report column labeled “requests” where you can flexibly respond to anomalous events and appearances. Let’s say an Abyss appears, you can report it as “bedroom / Abyss / inspect” to learn something about the object as it is being dealt with. You can request that some anomalies be provoked to do something specific at the risk of promoting more numerous non-interactive anomalies, which could overwhelm you and prompt a game over. Entities could be reported and dealt away with as usual, given assistance with a task, or provoked to become more aggressive, so that if you are particularly good at dodging one anomaly’s aggression This makes the game very dynamic which such options as “inspect / intensify /

I really want to see a game like this where you look through the cams and you can fend off the home from intruders like locking doors, flickering lights to scare them away, and so on and maybe you are in first person sitting in your chair looking at the cams then you have the ability to get up and walk around, basically a combination of the first and third I’m On Observation Duty games and then a bit of FNAF mixed in.

I love reading the chat while watching these kinds of videos because the streamer has to focus and misses so many good jokes

the games are kinda basic, but they somehow don't need much more to be scary.

These games honestly have a very SCP feel about them, like you’re a researcher watching over a place where anomalous activity is known to happen and you have to report what you see so it can be fixed, possibly to make sure a containment breach doesn’t happen.

I think games like should have a harder difficulty by having more pick list in the reporting menu. At the same time, the users should only have a set amount of reports that they can do in say a minute. Randomly spamming report should be minimize or restricted by giving out penalties. Maybe add a reward and penalty system. Add like an option to upgrade certain functions, etc.

At about 46 mins in I was also super curious what changed in the courtyard. I took screen grabs of before and after and overlayed them so I could toggle the layers on and off and see what the difference was. I saw no changes. ZERO idea what the anomaly was

17:24 what should happen, is there be like a mansion type house for example (just something with a lot of space) and so you swap locations with arrows, but here's sub cams for each area because it's so large, then keep the og observation duty 1 pace of anomalies, because it's slow enough that when something big happens it really gets you, but with so many cams to check you'll need more time, then maybe include a system like fnaf where you do multiple shifts (not necessarily getting harder) but there's a whole new set of anomalies that can occur, and the placement of things are different in the same house (as people live there, and over several days things will move etc.) so you can replay the same thing with a somewhat fresh experience, and finally if you had a lot of time to spend on making it, maybe make phasmo like jb thing, like the plot for observation duty 1, but less fnaf story like with the timmy lore, but more of, that's just your job, so you go to house to house and can enjoy it as kind of a simulator game. Potentially doing more to unlock different areas, purchase different perks like 2nd cam or color for cams etc. and then the only thing that it'd lack, is just being able to keep adding more houses with more multiple revisits with more anomalies. Anyways i ranted for no reason, literally all because I thought the cam layout would be good for multiple cams for a singular area. xD

Honestly the first game was amazing, really fun to watch. The second one was alright, but definitely not as good as the first. The third one i didnt bother watching cause it just looked bad. Now this fan game is top tier. It takes what the first game did right, and improved upon it. Imo, this is the true sequel to im on observation duty

This guy needs some more love, he makes us all laugh and I love it! Keep it up

This game would be dope as a co-op game, where one player is tasked to purge anomalies that are reported by the camera operator, i think the fear of being isolated and alone as the player purging and only being able to watch on in horror as the camera operator would make a good combo.

I love these games, if I had to say what I think of this one I’d say that this game is too fast paced, the art style is really good and feels like one of those CCTV Footage videos but due to the fast paced gameplay you’re almost always reporting anomalies and not enough genuinely creepy stuff happens, though I do like the camera malfunctions. I feel like it’d be best to combine this art style with Observation Duty 1/2’s gameplay. But also have many more creepy elements like maybe windows being smashed and a loud sound or intruders running across the hall, and have new things per shift, like upgrades or even new parts of the house being available to see and new perspectives, I’d really like a camera that’d be looking straight out of the front door’s glass hole where you look to see who’s outside, that’d be perfect for a scare.
