This video features the renovation of an old chipping hammer conversion. The original purpose of the hammer was not clear, but it was repurposed as a chipping hammer. The original conversion was done with a grinder, but to be effective the point or pick end needed to be longer and more pointed. The hammer also needed a better handle. The video shows the machining of a new pick end for the hammer, the setting up and machining of the head to enable the pick to be accurately welded in place and finally the heat treatment.
Major equipment used in this video: Renegade Industrial 200 Amp Inverter Arc Welder , Hafco AL336 Lathe, Hafco HM45 Bench Mill,

Not economical in time perhaps, but saving useful items from landfill is always rewarding. You've given it new life!

Thanks Sparky, glad you enjoyed it👍👍👍 . I am trying out putting more detail in the videos, it may not last and some of the upcoming stuff I have done a while ago and it is hard to remember the speeds and feeds now 🤔.
