In its first major defence exports deal, India has delivered today the first batch of the BrahMos missiles to the Philippines. This comes as Manila is facing growing Chinese aggression in the South China Sea, with the PLA and Chinese coast guard attacking Philippines' ships with water cannons in the disputed region. With the newly acquired Indian defence system, the Philippines can beef up its defences in the West Philippine Sea-- where Beijing has been trying to assert its claim.
