A NEW WINNER? + HEAVY RAIN | F1 2009 Career Mode | Part 2

The weather in this game is very strange. The only option other than "off" is "variable", which means it's a 50/50 chance. BUT, this only applies to the following circuits: Malaysia, Silverstone, Valencia, Belgium and Brazil. Any other circuit, regardless of weather setting, is always clear Edit: And yes, the game does feature visual rain, but only in extreme weather conditions. At which point your car will be fitted with full wet tyres instead of intermediates. The weather is also not dynamic. The race will therefore stay in the conditions that it started with, thus the track never dries out. Edit2: Any bodywork damage does not get visually repaired in the pits. The only reason I can think of why pitstops are so slow for the player is because of the animation sequences. As you can see there are no pitcrews for the AI to be animated

Lapped cars go super slow and try to get out of the way like that, when you get near them, so not a failure or anything. White smoke comes out the back in that case. Congrats on the win in Aus and P2 today! :)

Oh yeah, damage, also a fun one. Here's list of possible damages: - Front wing (can be lost - except if you're in a Williams but the performance is the same as if it lost its wing, quite strange) - Rear wing (once red - indicating complete damage - it will not disappear but it will shake heavily and also hurts performance) - Punctures (visually it will look like the wheel isn't making contact with the track, it will not look deflated either. Rear punctures are worse than front ones because of greater traction loss) - Suspension (hit the wall hard enough and your tyre will be at an angle. Funnily enough, the pitcrew can fix that. Also you can only have ONE tyre suffering suspension damage at a time. Tyres cannot fly off the cars) - Engine failure (either on its own or by shifting too late - making the revs hit their limit too much. This is the only way you or an AI can DNF from a race)

"Massa was never the same" is some bs talk that people use as an excuse for his poor perfomances after his comeback in 2010. Massa was never one of the greats... He featured in just 1 championship fight which he lost. Only 1 point yeah but there's not a single other year where he stood out other than 2008
