I just watched this again tonight. I realized that Freddy didn't actually need to succeed in his plot with Jesse, but instead just get the party goers to see and fear him, so he can invade and kill them in their dreams later. I think Freddy realized this when he was able to invade Jesse's dreams due to his immense fear of coming out (or not). Schneider and Grady were just tests for Freddy to kill outside of dreams.

But freddy killed people out in the real world, he was in the real world. It just didn't make much sense. And they already tested that in the first movie sorta, because Freddy didn't realize it was still a dream first, so it might as well have been the real world. I get he combined himself with Jesse, but that doesn't help Freddy in the real world make sense at all.

Bruce Campbell played Ash in Evil dead 1, 2, 3 and Ash Vs Evil Dead tv series 2015, 2016, 2018, the old Evil Dead Movies from the 80s and 90s are completly masterpieces, watch the movies if u can and the kill counts on this channel, Bruce Campbell played that role so good like was living the hell out of the caracter, the screaming, the EVERYTHING, hands down, watch them to know what i'm talking about 👍

Naw man, I prefer Freddy in part 3. That was a perfect blend of joking and terrifying that has stuck with me since watching it the first time. Also got to love the Dokken plug in.

@@Lugen101 Dream Warriors is a great movie, Freddy is good, and its my third favorite ANOES after the OG and Dream Master which I strangely enjoy more. But its also the one that has all the qualities that eventually brought down the franchise.

@@jamesthomas8645 Well, not technically just this movie. It's brief, but in Dream Warriors, when Freddy does the claymation trick, the knives come straight out of his fingers on an ungloved hand. He uses the glove the rest of the movie.

@Anne TheReader I believe the joke here is that Jessie was the character embodying the 'final girl' horror movie trope in this film. Though you could argue his girlfriend also fits the bill, she wasn't the one we were watching through most of it. He had the perfect scream queen yell, was the focus of unnecessary over-sexualized scenes, and ended up as the damsel in distress in the climax. His actual sexual orientation has nothing to do with it, it's his actions and experiences in the movie that give him the right to be called the 'final girl' character. The fact that the 'final girl' is a boy is refreshing, though.
