Yeah, looking at these videos again really brings back the good ol' days of 2000-2003 when nu metal was at its peak and music like this was everywhere. 🤘🤘Good times, hard to believe nowadays that music this heavy used to be mainstream when today there is hardly any contemporary rock music played in mainstream media at all. God, how I miss those days.😥😥
@@00Morton00 You probably hadn't been born in 2002, because back then nu metal was *everythere* . If you like A and LP, bands you might also like are: Papa Roach, Limp Bizkit, Mudvayne, Slipknot, Godsmack, Sevendust, Trustcompany, Deftones, System of a Down, Guano Apes.
Bringing back the good ol' days of the early 00s when nu metal was at its peak and rock in general was still a huge thing in the mainstream and nu metal, pop punk, post-grunge and garage rock was played all over MTV and the radio. 🤘🤘Nowadays it's hard to believe that heavy music like this used to be so popular in the mainstream when today rock has almost completely vanished as mainstream music has been taken over completely by hip hop and edm. 😥😥
And blink 182, fallout boy, alien ant farm, no doubt.....etc etc. Now its slags pregnant at 15 and braindead vacuous npcs, who follow orders without ever questioning anything
Had an eight hour bus journey into France as a kid, and I'd heard this track a few days before. Bought the album and a massive pack of AA batteries, and listened to it the whole way there. Says a lot about how good the album is that I listened to it the whole way back, too.
They at least party made it when this song came out in the spring of 2002 though, this song went massive and became a hit across Europe. Sadly they remained a one hit wonder though and never had another success. Also, they hardy did anything at all after this, they haven't released an album or any new material at all since 2005.
This song came into my head when I was driving to work and couldn’t stop thinking about it, it’s been years since I’ve heard it but it’s still as great 👌🏻
This song randomly popped into my head right now and here I am, man this song is so fking good! Remember hearing this in the early 2000s when I was a kid, never gets old and so catchy!
It was the summer of 2002 and this song was included in a rock compilation disk (Europe) called WIRED-UP and I still remember it was track N.15... I literally consumed that CD as much as I listened to it to the point that I had to buy a new one but I couldn't find it anymore. Good old memories!
Saw them live in Oxford, supported by Phoenix TX and Beatsteaks, still best gig I've ever been too, even though we had to go outside for a bit as PhoenixTX set off the fire alarms :)
It’s cheaper to ‘shoot’ music videos and advertisements in SA. Quite a considerable amount of international car ads had also been filmed there. Other artists (to name a few) with music videos filmed in SA includes: Feeder, One Direction, Coldplay, Tina Turner’s (‘Wings’) etc. Enjoy!
I bought a rock album called Supercharged in a metal shop in Cardiff in 2002 or 2003, well that CD has somehow survived since and 7 cars later...me and my daughter now rock out to this song. Fuck me....how isn't this song renowned! It's awesome, and the singer has Brian Johnson tones, I bought tickets in April In Cardiff but reef are the main band and A are supporting,....I'm going just for A 🤘🤟
I'm in my 60s now and have been brought up with the likes of Led Zeppelin, Queen, YES, Deep Purple AC/DC, Eagles, Uriah Heep, Jethro Tull, Tom Petty, ZZ Top, RHCP to name but a few of these great musicians! I've been searching for "modern" Rock that is worthy of my attention. I think I've just found it!!
My 5 year old daughter has been telling me she wants to hear the “daa daa daa daaaaaa” song for the last couple of months. I tried playing so many tracks, but they were never the right ones. I never knew what she meant until this came on, and she said “that’s one one, daddy!” She’s got such an eclectic taste, and I’m so proud. 😊
I heard that song once on viva or other mtv around 2002, tried to find this few years later but without success. I literally already thought that I made it up and this song doesn't exist until today when somehow after all those years I remebered it and finally found... such relief XD
I swear this some is hard to find, guy sounds like Sting haha! What a tune man! This song was on a free CD I got with a Kerrang mag years ago with a song by a band called Sponge, instant classics man! Memories baba
The height of musical composition, A will be remembered as the quintessential sound of 2002. Playing through the CRT TV or on the PlayStation CD player.
Been approx 2 decades & still never get tired of this song! First discovered it on "Trouble TV" on Sky. Dunno why I still remember this info, must be the impact of this gem I guess! Haha! ♡
I literally thought I wrote this song. Since I was probably 12 or 13, I had this song on my mind that goes 'there's nothing' followed by a harmonic guitar riff. Up until yesterday when I saw Louder Now's article on the greatest Nu Metal songs that I discovered that I probably heard this song in a grocery or just a random music channel and it stuck in such a peculiar way. So this is probably my greatest song ever.
I find it so random that their songs pretty much made my summer holidays every year. My father somehow found out about A in the early 2000s and years later still played their music in the car when we were on vacation. I often tune in their music just because i find them to be sooo good, sad they never really made it.
