Nah we still should have gotten Higgins. Love is good but to blow 3 years of rodgers and alienate him and not get a superbowl because of this draft is awful
@@willielopes8878 having rodgers for another year to prob choke in the nfc championship then missing out on a potential great qb to build with our young team would jus be crazy 😭
@@willielopes8878Rodgers would have blown out his Achilles this year and we would be starting rookie with no time in the offense. It was absolutely the best choice. Every game that passes just reinforces that it was the right pick at the time. They actually traded up to get one of 3 receivers they had a first round grade on. But all of them went. Usually if you have 4 picks with 3 guys you like, one of them will get through. But in this case, Love was the only choice left. Not that he was a bad choice. We needed a backup, an insurance policy and a potential successor. Love did all 3. This is the NFL, which stands for Nor For Long. No player is guaranteed to be healthy. The fact we traded Rodgers 4 snaps before he blew his Achilles say this was absolutely the right choice. We did get 2 MVP seasons out of Rodgers until he had to play hurt for most of 2022. He did have calf problems also. Something he had been struggling with for quite some time. It was just a matter of time before it let go.
It was NOT 99% of us. More like 50 50. Keep telling yourself that though to justify all the trash you likely talked about the guy who's jersey you now wear. I'd also bet my life you wanted Gutekunst fired over the years. The "Packers fans" that don't see the big picture and don't believe in the teams methods shouldn't be able to then go yayyyy touchdown jordan love woohooo!! Should be held accountable for talking smack.
As Tom said, gutey is a mastermind. I think a lot of people forget the bad year Rodgers had prior to that draft. I have little doubt he would have been back to back mvp had the love pick not motivate him to perform. It was brilliant and gutey knew those next few years was the packers last window to win with Rodgers.
The worst part about it wasnt even the pick, it’s the fact the packers traded up to make it when no one else was interested in taking love in the first
@@davidbennington4341 thats not gunna happen. Their team is set up for almost any qb to have success. A good D, good rbs, and and top 2 oline to protect them. They may no longer be SB contenders, but defenitly playoff contenders
Well I think since they had Alex Smith they wanted to groom a new qb, and Watson was already seen as nfl ready as mahomes had potential but didn't seem ready yet
@God_Laughs _At_Atheists No its always gems in 3rd 4th 5th & sometimes 6th round at receiver. Don't ever go by what some of these look like in college or the combine. Its gonna be some early round WR's thats not gonna be as good as they were in college. Its was some good WR's drafted in them later rounds just watch.
Horrible4 having an enormous amount of talent in 2018, pulling off one of the biggest collapses of the decade, and making zero changes at the positions of power? Yeah, that’s textbook disfunction. It’s also enormous disfunction to insist every year that this will be the time you’re no longer enslaves by the Patriots (and always being wrong).
Caleb Lambert everyone mocked him in the first lol no one thought he was gonna fall out of the first. I’m not saying it’s a good pick I’m saying they had to trade up to get him
@@camc9093 for what it's worth, I've heard a lot of those rumors were all just blowing smoke to see if somebody would bite. No one will ever know for sure though.
After that win against the Cowboys and becoming the first 7th seed to advance to the Divisional round the pick looks pretty good. Took a long time but it panned out
This video gets recommended to me every few months, even though I've already watched it. But all these years later, I will keep watching it because it will never not make me laugh.
They had to cut the electricity to the entire State. Bears fans, Vikings fans and that 1 🦁 fan all brought extension cords from Illinois, Minnesota and Michigan to help put the Wisconsinites out of their misery.
Even though I'm a huge Vikings fan, I started watching this station for "every fan's reaction videos" Tom you are a great entertainer.. this is the first time I saw this video and it's absolutely priceless.. I love it!!! I think it's awesome you called the shot beforehand..
Swordboy Ecj yep and it’s glorious what a waste of a pick Love is hot garbage. So when Rodgers gets pissed and asked for a trade the packers are gonna suck till they fall into another HoF qb Sorry buds up north but Favre to Rodgers you couldn’t possibly have thought you’d be skilled/lucky enough to land a third hall of fame qb in a row Enjoy mediocrity
I thought we would take Mims or Higgins! We'll find out tomorrow if we get a receiver! Maybe get KJ Hamler or the kid from Colorado because Mims and Higgins won't be there. Might have to trade up again😬!
Tom: If something crazy happens in this draft I will make a Reaction Video out of it. *Packers Trade UP for Jordan Love* Tom: Well at least I won't have to do a sketch about it since I have my RAW Reaction!
FuZeSwaggy When is the last time the Bills won a playoff game? Or actually, when's the last time any professional team from Buffalo won a playoff game?
FuZeSwaggy oof a bills fan talking trash.. weren’t you guys up against the texans and choked and ended up losing?? Imagine having josh allen as your QB..
@@Xhoven 2007, 2014, 2016, and 2019. Bonus points for being 15-1 in 2011 and choking in the divisional round. At least you won in 2010. -brought to you by a NYG fan
Something tells me this comment will not age well. Everybody is pretty much guaranteeing Love will be a Hall of Fame player with all of these jinx level comments lol.
@@ColinNasty anything is possible, but Love going to the Packers is the best situation for him to reach his ceiling. When you look at what he has - ability to go through reads, throw off platform, good footwork, great pocket presence, elite arm - those are all things you can't coach, that just comes with the quarterback. And if all you need to work on with Love is his processor and decision making? That CAN be coached, and if you do that we're looking at a Russel Wilson esque player, maybe even better. And if you're getting a player like that at 26 overall, you take it every time. It's a risk because he's a very raw prospect, but learning behind Aaron Rodgers where he can figure out how to read the field and be more conservative there's a good chance this guy is another hall of famer.
@@nalimlattarai2873 37-20, but that's why you draft Patrick Queen, you don't draft a QB when Rodgers has been carrying the team for the better part of 10 years.
Eric W when your injury prone 36 year old QB is coming off of, without question, the worst year of his career then I don’t have a problem with it. Rogers can talk about all the weapons he doesn’t have, the reality is we had one of the best RB’s in the NFC this year and picked up one of the best young offensive lineman in last years draft while Rogers is missing open passes for the first time in his career and, you know what, yeah we were one game away from the super bowl. But that really doesn’t mean anything considering just how unbelievably bad the whole NFC was last year, the only half way competent team blew us out of the water twice in a row. The packers were lucky to be 13-3 last year and easily could have been 8-8 or even worse. Who knows if this pick is going to work out, but I can tell you that the likelihood of Rogers returning to his MVP level at this point of his career is incredibly small and anyone who watched packers games last year will tell you that Rogers is just missing wide open passes in ways he never would before. Idk if it’s complacency or age, but either way this was necessary either this year or next year.
The only thing funnier than watching your face slowly change from insane happiness and joy to utter shock and sadness, is the way the video cuts out just as you try to muster up something nice to say about Jordan Love. I am so happy I found your channel. Keep up the wonderful reactions, all of the great weekly videos and even live streams. All amazing stuff.
I rewatch this every couple of days. I'm a Bears fan. It makes me happier every day. Tom's reaction is exactly how I reacted when we traded for Foles. And it seems to be playing out about as well as that went.
@@vicegts3439 I guess we'll just have to sit here with our number one overall pick and 100 mill in cap space. That win streak y'all went on at the end of the year that didn't amount to you making the playoffs? How many draft spots did that cost ya?
"Love" how u transition from screaming into a towel to the classic sports talk take of positivity and patience 😂 Straight pro right there. Well done by you.
I am consoling myself with the possibility that in 5 years time you will very much not enjoy this pick as the 3rd HOF Quarterback in a row starts for Green Bay but... I am not happy you guys got Jefferson
“What did ya do Goodin ya mastermind?!” “I love you Matt Laflur!” “Please god not Jordan Love!” Kids don’t be a Tom. Tom celebrated too early. Now Tom is very sad!
After coming back to rewatch this before the 2022 playoff game against the 9ers…this was an exceptional move! Love has been a great contribution to Rodgers and this season! So happy they traded up to build around our MVP QB with this one!
Bobby SavageHill, and I appreciate his appreciation of your appreciation of his time stamps. I just thought it was a funny pun as he said “thanks for the LOVE”. Would be hilarious if he had that in mind but I understand it was a complete coincidence.
"Unless we have this S.O.B. gain 90 pounds and play D tackle, then I dont know why the eff we picked him!!!" This reaction and the one from Ty Schmidt on the Pat McAfee show are the best ever...
