Come with "Peter Robyn" on a 680 nm journey from Hobart, Tasmania all the way up the East coast of Tasmania, across Bass Strait and into the bosom of Australia's Arts capital, Melbourne. Also, there's dolphins.
Nice one Mathew, I just stumbled upon your channel tonight and have watched all your episodes. Most enjoyable and I love all the edits, comedy and more. While I have sailed for the past 8 years and in that time somehow managed to rack up a lot of sea miles offshore, locally and even overseas, plus racing on the derwent, I only finally took the plunge and bought a boat mid last year. Now although mine is a glass boat, it does have a lot of woodwork, both below and on deck and is a classic 1974 built Swanson 30 , IOR boat. Yes, she has has done a lot of big races (S2Hs), etc plus been to NZ and back, and yes like a lot of boats there is work to do on her, but thankfully overall she is sound and came with a lot of new and expensive improvements. Can I call it my mid life crisis, probably not given I am now 64 but given I retired at 56, and took up sailing thereafter, maybe that was a part of a late mid life moment for me ?? Anyway, keep up the story telling of your adventures on Peter Robyn, for it’s always good to have such a new channel on youtube like yours 👍😁.
Bravo Peter Robyn & crew! I'm spending to much time on the dock lately and rally need to leave some where..... boats are safe anchored in the harbor but that's not what they are made for!
Especially loving the dolphin.scene and the amazing Tasmanian scenery. Could put that on a meditative loop. Makes you want to jump on a yacht and ‘sail away sail away sail away’
Hi Matthew, we have binged out on your offerings - didn’t take long so you need a bit more sweat in the production area. Really enjoyed your work though! We’re down at Royal Geelong so hopefully we’ll see you at our Wooden Boat Festival. Rod & Lillian (Sapphire of London)
G'day Rod. Thanks for the lovely feedback. "Peter Robyn" will definitely be coming to Geelong for the Wooden Boat Festival. I'll be sure to seek out "Saffire of London" and say hello.
