Unfortunately its a common occurance far too many chavs on the buses wholly devoid of any manners.

well in England, you will h=go to court and be ordered to pay a victim surcharge + compensation + damages + the money to the victim he could also go to prison for up to 2 years and be put on rehab or sex offenders list if was because of gender

I’m a bus driver I don’t expect thanks, I’m doing my job. My thanks is my pay packet I never look like a robot that is the key to it all. Passengers are coming into my enviroment I am are the host we are the frontline face of TFL we suppose to look as if we like the job.

@@Fin_Ale You say thanks because you walk past the driver on single doors buse thats is the case in London on our single door midi buses. People say thank more often. It’s not the people it’s the bus design. I get people saying thanks from exit door on 47 not everyone but some. The driver is the one who can change how people respond.

Ryan Thomson Anyone thats commited a crime usually has or will commit further crimes somewhere down the line and if you don't you will always have in the back of your mind that the next time the Police catch up with you it will be dealt with so there really is no escaping.

I had my door windows smashed when driving the 167 through chigwell and also had my windsreen hit with a pellet of some kind from what must have been an air riffle. Glass shatterd up from a hole that was created in the lower windscreen by the pellet and little bits of glass was all over me. That was on the 167 too near buckhurst hill. Life of a bus driver hey!

I've had someone come on a bus with some tree branch and started lashing at the driver's cab because they had to pay the fare - oddly enough, this was also in 2017 when this was uploaded. _Neasden_

In my country bus drivers have what I would call a "half-cab" which partially isolates the driver from the passengers but still allows for example the driver to give hand to hand a paper map/schedule of the line to a passenger that asked for it or the passengers who buy a ticket on the bus to hand money directly to the driver without having to put it on the coin tray for instance. Unfortunately that also means anyone with bad intentions can very easily reach the driver to assault him (or her). But they have a retractable tempered glass window that can be quickly raised if needed and then it provides pretty much the same level if protection as the fully enclosed cab. BTW we also don't have spit kits in France but we DO have CCTV in buses and in many other public places aswell.

Sure way of losing your job, better learn how to communicate with unwell people, thats is the key. The guy got pushed into that situation, he paid his fair. He totally embarrassed the guy in public. This situation was made worse not by the passenger. That could never happen to me, because it’s would even reach that stage, all we have to do is log any fair evasion and drive the bus. TfL have staff to deal with this stuff..

Travelling on buses is just as safe as walking down the street! Good and bad things happen all the time! We can't really avoid it...but it's not what happens to us....it's how we deal with it!

Channel 7 HD .....the world is changing all the time! But all crimes need to be dealt with! Don't be afraid to speak to a driver if you see anything bad that is happening. Or write on a piece of paper and pass it to the driver...so as to not be seen speaking to the driver and the offender catching you out! Don't put yourself and risk!

It’s about how you deal with situation, if you embarrass people in public they could react. Speak to people with a nice tone and they not going to feel like crap in public. It’s worked for me 9 years. That person in Anton bus was unwell, even Anton said.

Apply online to all companies. In London there are 18 different bus companies such as Abellio, Metroline, Stagecoach, London United R.A.T.P. , C.T plus, Tower Transit etc etc... Salaries are similar. Some pay for night work and others pay better for overtime. Some give pay rises every year for 5 years. Some have top pay after 2 years such as Abellio. Some companies have top pay after 7-8 years. Learn the highway code and make sure you have less than 3 points on your license.
