So many treasures and so creatively displayed. Love the mother of pearl calling card cases made in France and the tiny album souvenier with pictures of France 😍 Enjoyed watching 😊
Another video, feeling jealous of your treasures once again! Lol! Just kidding! Happy for your uncanny luck of finding these treasures and love that you share them! That tiny brass French postcard book is my favorite! PS. I have never seen one of those metal shelves look so fabulous!!

I found the first one at Flea Market right after I graduated college. It was six dollars and I’m sure at that time I thought that was pretty expensive but I’m so glad I picked it up. Just recently it dawned on me that I might be gold and it is!
Really love the postcard booklets, I have one I thrifted years ago, it says Paris like yours but is a different color, the little book that has pictures is too cute! ❤
The culmination of completing 2 years of high school French classes was a trip to Cincinnati ‘s finest French Restaurant. My French teacher said that she wouldn’t even take me to McDonald’s if she had her choice. To say the least, we had a very strained and tumultuous relationship. I was very vocal about French and American involvement in the Vietnam War. My Art History class went better. I excelled in regional writing and literature. Besides, I never envisioned myself as an interpreter at the French Embassy anyway. LOL.
@@TarnishedTreasures1 I was a handful. I had written papers in elementary school on Einstein’s theory of Relativity that they could not grade because they didn’t understand it themselves. In 1968, I wrote a lengthy psychiatric evaluation of Vincent Van Gogh. In 1969 they turned me loose in a new progressive experimental public high school. I wrote on the teachings of Plato, Aristotle, and Socrates. I read underground newspapers and help write articles anonymously for the school paper. They got rejected and censored. We took them to the printer and got them published anyway. My senior year I didn’t need a lot of credits to graduate, so I opted for supervised independent study. I played teacher’s aide and compiled a massive study on sexually transmitted diseases with the help of the health department. I hope that your father was better behaved than I was.
