I have Victoria Magazines from the 80s!!!! I subscribed for many years, now I buy 2 or 3 New issues each year. In the fall they do an issue devoted to England. And in the Spring or Summer one for France. You are going to enjoy it. Many years ago their writer in residence was Jan Karon, Author of the MITFORD series of books. I still try to keep up with her. She reminds me of Jeri Landers 💖. Love the way you love textiles!!! Velvet, Velveteen and satins are just SOOO much more wonderful than fabrics now. Enjoy your treasures! I enjoy your videos👵💖🦋
I LOVE THE BUTTER PAT DISHES...... THE SHEEP, I HAVE A COLLECTION OF ALL KIND, METAL MOLDS, CHALK WARE AND WOOD AND FABRIC, I LOVE THESE THEY BRING ME PLEASURE AS I LOOK AT MY COLLECTIONS OF THINGS FROM OVER THE YEARS....I ALSO REALLY ENJOY YOUR VIDEOS.
I’ve subscribed to Victoria magazine for years and every page feeds your soul! If you can find the older copies, they are bigger and better than the new ones. You found wonderful linens and other goodies! ♥️
I love your comment “...delighting my eyes”😃! Those Boyd’s bears - great discovery. My mother (age 91) recently gave me a gold thread long narrow spool - I have it displayed on an antique child’s sewing machine, along with a vintage needle package in a flower frog and a small apple that is actually a measuring tape. ❤️ it! I am enjoying your channel so much, and inspired each post... (PS: I can’t IMAGINE wearing a vintage dress without its shoulder pads...I don’t understand why anyone would value wearing a vintage dress without being true to all its design. It strikes me as similar to resale thrifters whose buyers don’t want crazing on vintage home goods...
Great finds! Especially love the white tablecloth! Victoria is a great quality magazine. I have been getting it since the 1990s and still love it! I think it’s definitely your cup of tea:)
I wished I lived where there were some good antique stores! You always find the neatest things. I love those vintage linens and napkins and doilies. Those Boyds Bears were cute too. And that silk bow tie! Wow! Thanks for sharing your finds with us.
I always look for Christmas themed fabrics, I plan to make up some gift bags with ribbon drawstrings. My eldest sons partner (French) showed me how to wrap presents with fabric , I think it’s a Japanese idea. They are both very keen to use sustainable items so the gift bags can be used for years and passed on. 😎🇫🇷❤️
That tablecloth!! I have a thing for old ones, especially ones with embroidery, crochet, tatting and cut work...those are my faves. I always enjoy seeing your hauls and they're usually very informative!
I love your little pinecone Elve. I have some of those that I bought many years ago to put on my tree. I saw where four of them sold on eBay for $60.00+ shipping . So he is worth picking up.
The Long Metal piece with thread wrapped around it on the Easel is a OLD Sewing Bobbin from a Sewing Machine ca 1910. I have my Great-Grandmothers sewing machine.
I love Victoria and Bliss magazines. Great Shiny Bright box. I landed 4 1960’s Woolworth’s boxes of unused ( or barely used) bulbs and teardrop ornaments in 2 different pinks. I used to love going to Woolworth’s in the 60s and 70s to get vintage style fabric to make dresses with. The tiny Easel of vintage sewing supplies is so cute! I can’t get enough of Assemblage!
Great finds once again! My 1st thought was the beaded garland would look great in your son's room. It reminds me of those candy necklaces that were on elastic. The beads have the same shape as the candies. I wish I could find such great deals!
Fell asleep halfway through the first time (watching in bed). I love the Christmas doilies. Are they paper? Those little mirror and foil ornaments are nice...I've never seen them before. The easel piece is wonderful, and I love the vintage buttons on the flower card. The butter pats are nice. And more putz sheep! I need to spend more time in your presence, lol. I found my first sterling after my visit, who knows what I will find after another? 😁
That little gnome is adorable. You found some beautiful linens and the prices👍👍👍 😂😂😂😂😂it didn't take you long to realize that Bliss Victoria was written for you! Those silver foil ornaments would look great for New Years and 4th of July! You and Sally have gotten me addicted to these sheep now! Of course by now you know that the one I received from EBay has a balance issue 😂😂😂
You found some great finds.your little German sheep were a great deal, back 25 years ago when I started collecting vintage Christmas I paid 75 dollars for one, I definitely think that was way too much, but I wanted it so badly. Lol, I paid between 15 and 25 for all my others.i have 14 now, but I just love them.I put them out at Christmas and in the spring too.Thank you for sharing! I love seeing all your goodies.
What fabulous treasures!! It amazes me what you find at Savers. We haven't any of those stores where I live so pickin's are slim. I think the mirrored ornaments are made to reflect light. Just a guess, however. Love love the linens and frankly all of it. Thanks for sharing.
As always nice thrifting I had the same Vera tea towel sweet Father for few years when teen worked for Vera got lots scarves not up to retail sale yet for myself others seeing l styling them tied in my hair around neck off or tied around👢cool🤙 Rock On👍 beautiful person 🎄🎁👨👩👧👦⏳🕛🥳🎉🎊🎈🎆🎶💜💪💅✌🤘🤞🖖🙏 🙃2020-🙂2021
What finds...beautiful linens (the white table cloth!! Omg!), the bears (I have a collection of them!) just everything you found...wonderful! I used to subscribe to Victoria...maybe in the late 80's...I just loved it...then they went out of business...I was so sad...but I think in recent years they may have relaunched?? TFS!! 🥰
