Join us for the first look inside the gun vault on The Cinnabar. Today we'll be looking through the 1895 safe at some rare and unusual '95 Winchesters.
It took me a while to get a comment out - after this episode I was simply speechless… What an amazing collection ! Your love of this old guns is clearly evident …Thanks for sharing !
Thank you so much for saving and restoring these old Winchesters. You have a stunning collection in that ONE safe. I can only imagine what treasures are locked away in your other vaults. Thanks for sharing. Have a blessed new week ahead. I'd love to see more in a future episode of The Cinnabar!!
OUTSTANDING..!!! Love this video Mark. It just went by faster than I wanted. It took so long for my noggin to comprehend what my eyes were actually seeing.
Thank you for sharing. The part where you had to sell some of your collection to fund school and tools just about broke my heart. My father in law really loved the Burgess folding shotgun. He sold his collection to buy his ranch and move from the Los Angeles area to the central valley of California. He spent the rest of his life trying to find his old guns and rebuilding his collection. I like the model 94 winchester. He gave me one that came in a lot that he purchased. You have a beautiful collection and again, thank you for sharing.
I can see Mark why you have all those beautiful 1895 Winchesters. I find that Winchester put beautiful figured walnut stocks on the '95s. I have NEVER seen an extension attached to the butt of a rifle. Usually one makes a new one. Thanks Mark for showing us all those beautiful '95 Winchesters.
Sadly, I've come across quite a few and it just ruins a stock. If this one had originally been a shotgun style butt, I might have been able to save it, but the extension fills the area on the top of the stock where the top of the crescent buttplate was. It'd be almost impossible to hide that.
Super video! I love my 1895's, and wouldn't want one I don't fire! I have on in 35WCF, and it is a take down in very fine shape. Thank you Mark for sharing some of your collection, it's a treat to see these fine old Winchesters!
Hi Mark, So the clown in me wants to say I like the way you invest in precious metals, one heck of a 401k account. In all seriousness though, that was a very impressive parade of model 1895s. Thank you very much for sharing them with us!
WOW........NOW, that is the definition of a candy store !!!!! So much history !!! Love your work on keeping it alive. Showed my wife your video......I think she will let me buy 1 more 🤠
Wow.. Thank you Mark, This was an absolute treat… I learned so much more about 95s in just this video alone. Way to keep the spirit alive in all of us by sharing and preserving these fine Winchester lever guns. I hope to see more of your collection as this was a wave of inspiration😃
What a great video. I never had an appreciation for the 1895 when I was younger. I realize now I was missing out. Your videos on the 1895 only feed my new appreciation. I think of all the good deals I passed on years ago and shake my head at myself.
Beautiful collection. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to watching you do the fine finish work on these rifles. I have a couple old guns that have spent their time in the woods and need some polishing as well. I'll wait and see how you do yours first. 😉
Oh My !! What a wonderful video. Yes, more please. Beautiful collection. An extra special thank you for sharing. That's quite the collection of safes, as well. I always wanted an old bank building with a walk-in vault.
You have an amazing collection of 95's! That's the model that's next on my list to purchase. Simply beautiful rifles. Thank you for taking the time to share.
Oh My God That was just amazing, what a collection and with your descriptions. Thank you so much for opening your safe for us to see. I can't imagine just how comprehensive some American collectors collections must be.
Amazing 95's....I've only got 2. A beater second model in 38-72 and a 405 takedown with sling eyes and a climbing Lyman. Love them both, but the 405 is my prized possession. It has most of its original blue as far as I can tell and the only thing I believe was done to it was the Lyman was added at some point. It may also have what Madis refered to as extra walnut as the wood has some figure. Thanks for showing off your collection. It's impressive 😎
I feel for you guys up there,I almost moved to western Oregon last year (I’m sick of the summers)but I’m not getting rid of my “modern” Guns,I hope that magazine BS gets overturned.such beautiful country ,I’ll have to settle for Northern Arizona for now. Awesome collection by the way!
What a great video!! You should do a video on how to manage the funds you acquire!! Man I had a great paying job for almost 30 yrs and I could never come close to enjoy the things you do. Just your ranch alone is amazing not to mention your firearms!! Granted wealth is not a key to joy or happiness, but it is a tool to help the people around and in your life. Rich or poor we all have something to give to help those in need. Would love to see more of your collection and how you acquired the ranch…. Thank you for sharing such wonderful pieces with us!! It’s as close as most of us will get to see in our lifetime.
Thanks, but you're making an assumption about our income level that's way off the mark. If you had a "great paying job for almost 30 years", you almost certainly have far more income than we've ever had. We've worked for decades taking a very small income (sometimes as little as $500/month for long periods) in order to work ourselves completely out of debt. Our secret isn't high income but living very fugally and having few expenses. Yes, the ranch is worth a lot of money now and is completely paid off, but we'd only see that money if we were to sell it. It provides a very modest income, well below what it would cost to just "get by" in more urban environs.
Been following you forever seems like and I don't know how I missed this video I'm a big Winchester fan myself and also a Smith but will only work on my own and once in awhile a friends firearm just got tired of the public headache beautiful rifles btw@@thecinnabar8442
I was wondering where all the winchesters were on the west coast, now I know lol. Really neat collection, I always like seeing what others have. Thanks for taking time to show us some of your collection.
I used to go thru the valley in Paisley over to the mustangs in adel.... winter's and other issues helped us move to the N E KY area.... Good video on the fine rifles of the past.
This is fabulous! I was intrigued when you explained how useful that nearly new-in-box example would be for restorations. Thank you for sharing this 1895 collection with us! 😎
An amazing collection of 1895's. Will be looking forward to see the rest of your collection. Thanks for sharing. Maybe you can persuade Rob Kassab & Brad Dunbar to do a reprint of the 1895 book.
Thank you so much for opening a window into your amazing collection. I thoroughly enjoyed every single one of your videos so far, but this one is a blast.
@@thecinnabar8442 One time years ago I gave my nephew a tour of my safes, not unlike on your video. He was impressed that I had a story for every one of the guns. I hadn't thought about it before, but he was right, all of them had their own story.
What a great collection. Personally I would like one made in .35 Whelen. Yes I know that's not a original, however the 95 is being made again. The 35 Whelen is my favorite elk and moose getter in grizzly country. Mountain man
