A PERFECT example of how to pick a point of view | Forever Winter + Snow on the Beach lyric analysis 

I think what gets me about Forever Winter is actually the title, because to me it tells you how the story ended. "I'll be forever winter if you go." - so the song is "Forever Winter" because he left.

One of my favorite things about Forever Winter is that it being so upbeat kind of alludes to her actively trying to be his "summer sun"

Forever winter is highly rumored to be about her highschool friend who was struggling and ended his life at 21 years. She sung this song at his funeral 💔

The song being in _third person objective_ is so appropriate because even people who have been 'there' find it difficult to assume what runs on a person's head during that moment. That's why even our _beloved late night expert pacer __3:35_ just narrated the things she saw and she heard him say while checking up on him, without assuming what's on his head. And I also love that the content of the song is reflected to the way it sounds 9:45. Oh, and I got my mini shout out at around 4:35 yay 😄😄

Tragic bop really sums it up perfectly. I feel deeply connected to this song, cause it just feels like a warm hug by Taylor or like a pep talk to my younger self. I love love love, the use of horns in this song and just all around everything about it. My brain sorta disconnected the sadness by now and just sees this song as hopefull

I dont know if you like learning these things, but Snow on The Beach is acrually about falling in love with someone who is falling in love with you at the same time (which is funny because you speculated the exact opposite at the beginning of your reaction) It’s why she compares it to all these otherworldly things, because at that time (the song is about joe), she wasn‘t used to the feeling of just… being loved back On another note, I personally think its pretty useful for her to explain the main simile like that. You already mentioned that there is little time in a song, but also the simile is kind of complicated imo. It could also mean something more negative, like a disturbing feeling that something is out of place, and with the previous lyrics also being so indirect and abstract, it just kind of „sets the tone straight“ i think

This song and renegade are two of my favorites from her in characterizing other people from outside of their own heads

Coming unglued in snow on the beach is a reference to how time stopped her in the line before and he is ungluing her and helping her move forward with his love. That's how I see it at least. As for forever winter, I always hear the upbeat nature more as anxiety and desperation than joy, which fits the repetition of the begging/pleading.

Thank you very much for making this video, and choosing Forever Winter. My favorite line is "I'll be summer sun for you forever." I'm so happy that you finally reacted to this one. I had a newfound appreciation for the verses at 7:45. There are some really good lines here. The switch from 3AM to 5AM, some lines from the beginning became the overarching narrative of the story, and the repetition of the intro 9:17. The analysis made me love the song even more.

Snow On The Beach is about two people falling in love together which she alludes to being rare and beautiful like snow falling on a beach. Forever Winter makes me cry everytime I listen to it. When this song came out, I was in a similar headspace and this became sort of a sanctuary. Please also check out Renegade with Bon Iver and Taylor. It's also on similar themes and you're gonna like the switching of perspectives on that one

I think explaining a simile right after can work when done in a specific way or with a specific purpose. She doesn’t do it often in songs, but when I first heard Snow on the beach that like “weird but f**** beautiful” made me laugh, and kind of stay with that sentiment in a “yeah I can see that” way. For me it the line works in that specific instance. I Agee I wouldn’t like it if it was done all the time after every simile or metaphor. Anyway really enjoy your videos 😘

In snow on the beach she says " it's coming down, No sound it's all around, like snow on the beach" Cause snow falling makes no sound, and for me bring me to " blurring out my periphery" zoning in.

I think she wants to show us the reason why she can’t know how he feels in forever winter is because he’s gone now, so she can’t even ask him that anymore, all the can do now is wonder how he felt 😢
